The Walt Disney Company Becomes One Of The Major Bidders For EA Acquisition.

According to 9to5Mac, EA Games, the publisher of major hits such as The Sims franchise and Apex Legends, began seeking a potential buyout or merger following Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard in January of this year and Sony’s subsequent purchase of Bungie later that same month. Apparently, EA seeks a merger rather than a full buyout, as it hopes to retain its current CEO, Andrew Wilson, in the same position.

The major bidders at the moment are Apple, Amazon and The Walt Disney Company

So far, EA has yet to comment on the reports, with EA spokesperson John Reseburg stating the company would not comment on “rumors and speculation relating to M&A.” He added, “We are proud to be operating from a position of strength and growth, with a portfolio of amazing games, built around powerful IP, made by incredibly talented teams, and a network of more than half a billion players. We see a very bright future ahead.”

I find it hard to think of what a deal between EA and Apple would look like. Puck mentions that EA’s ideal candidate for a merger was Disney, as it reached out in March seeking a “more meaningful relationship.” However, the entertainment company did not pursue those conversations, likely because it’s focused on its building up its Disney+ subscriber base. Additionally, a potential ESPN merger could happen as Disney owns the sports network. ——- 9to5Mac’s Take

If Disney wins the bid franchises like Plants Vs Zombies,The Sims,Dead Space,Dragon Ace,Command & Conquer, Battlefield etc.. will join the Disney family and Disney will have full control of the Star Wars Videogames and of course The Simpsons Videogames.

Too dark for Disney? Behind the deleted and edited scenes of Lilo & Stitch

What exactly is “too much” for a young audience? How do we possibly figure out what could be too sensitive to viewers of a movie or television show? I guess there isn’t any particular test to measure just how many people would find a certain piece of media offensive or triggering. As a company, business or even an individual, it is essential to keep in mind whether your content could have aspects…

The beginning bumper of the trailer for Disney‘s latest film Big Hero 6 says it all. Having given us Tangled,Wreck-It-RalphandFrozen,Disney has found its mojo again by remembering that they actually are the ones know how to make classics, (sorry Pixar).

SureMarvel is getting all the attention with the taking of all of the Box Office money, however Disney Animation has quietly climbed back into the leadership role it has known for so long leaving Pixar far behind.

With their latest, Disney has actually pulled from the Marvel vault to bring to life a story that looks like it is going to give us all the feels. I like everything I see about this.  We are going to get a great film that the kids are going to want to watch again and again that us grown-ups are going really dig as well.

But please for the love of all things, can we have a song that replaces that Frozen song? You know the one I am talking about.

Check out the trailer below and get ready for Baymax.

Disney’sBig Hero 6 opens in theatres in 3D November 7, 2014.

About The Film
Big Hero 6 is a heartfelt comedy adventure about robotics prodigy Hiro Hamada, who learns to harness his genius—thanks to his brilliant brother Tadashi and their like-minded friends: adrenaline junkie Go Go Tamago, clean freak Wasabi No-Ginger, chemistry whiz Honey Lemon and fanboy Fred. When a devastating turn of events catapults them into the midst of a dangerous plot unfolding in the streets of San Fransokyo, Hiro turns to his closest companion—a cutting-edge robot named Baymax—and transforms the group into a band of high-tech heroes determined to solve the mystery. Inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name, and featuring comic-book style action and all the heart and humor audiences expect from Walt Disney Animation Studios,Big Hero 6 is directed by Don Hall (Winnie the Pooh) and Chris Williams (Bolt), and produced by Roy Conli (Tangled). The film hits theaters in 3D on November 7, 2014.
