Lady Newport is wearing the same tiara as Lady Anne Bridgeman, the daughter of a previous Earl of Bradford. I seems it is a piece owned by the Bradford family, as the Viscount is heir to the present Earl of Bradford.

It’s not the same tiara. It’s possible that the tiara worn by Lady Anne (right) was used to create the tiara worn by the new Viscountess Newport (left) but it would have had to have been completely remade.

Fürstenberg Tiara Up for Auction

A pearl and diamond tiara that belongs to the Fürstenberg Princely Family will be sold at Christie’s on May 11th as part of their Magnificent Jewels auction in Geneva. The tiara was made by Flach, Mediansky, & Paltscho in the late 1800s for Princess Irma of Fürstenberg née Countess von Schönborn-Buchheim.

On the left is Princess Irma wearing it with an emerald in place of the pearls in a painting by Philip de László and Princess Paula of Fürstenberg née Countess of Königsegg-Aulendorf wears the full tiara on the right.

It is very adaptable and in addition to removing the pearls it can be worn as a necklace or set of brooches.

Princess Maximiliane (sometimes written as Massimiliana) of Fürstenberg née Princess of Windisch-Graetz is the most recent wearer of the piece and she has used it as both a tiara and a necklace.

The tiara is estimated to be sold for 400,000-600,000 CHF.

TIARA ALERT: Blake Lively wore a paraiba tourmaline, diamond, and copper tiara by Lorraine Schwartz for the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 2 May 2022.

I was hoping Lorraine Schwartz would put out a photo of the tiara but no luck yet. It’s a really interesting piece made from copper that has been partially oxidized. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a copper tiara before. The gemstones are paraiba tourmalines and light brown diamonds. The diamonds almost have a pinkish tint but that could be the color reflecting off the copper. It’s inspired by the State of Liberty so the tiara has seven spikes and twenty five gemstones to represent the windows.

TIARA ALERT: Emma Chamberlain wore a Cartier Diamond Kokoshnik Tiara for the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 2 May 2022.

Here’s a better look at the tiara. It was made by Cartier in 1911 and now belongs to the Cartier Collection.

And thanks to Saad from The Royal Watcher who identified the necklace as one that belonged to the Maharaja of Patiala. Here is Maharaja Yadavindra Singh wearing it with the famous Patiala Diamond Necklace also made by Cartier and a lot of other jewels.

I didn’t know who Emma Chamberlain was before last night but she got some major loans from Cartier. If only she hadn’t worn the tiara tilted flat back on her head…

TIARA ALERT: Anna Wintour wore a yellow diamond tiara for the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 2 May 2022.

The tiara is from London estate jeweler, S.J. Phillips. It was made circa 1900 and can be worn as a necklace.

TIARA ALERT: Tommy Dorfman wore a green paste tiara from Fred Leighton for the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 2 May 2022.

Thanks to @duchessofostergotlands for the id on this tiara. It’s from New York based estate jeweler, Fred Leighton. In years past, most of the tiaras worn at the Met Gala were on loan from them so I was surprised that there weren’t more of them last night. This is one I haven’t seen before, they have a diamond star tiara that’s been worn to the Met Gala at least three times. The actress described it as a green paste hair comb that was around two hundred years old which checks out because it looks like it’s from the Regency Era. At first I thought I was going crazy because I couldn’t see the green but then I realized that she was wearing it backwards!

I actually quite like way she wore the tiara. It was interesting as opposed to the simply bad tiara hair and placement of some of the other attendees.

TIARA ALERT: Hamish Bowles wore Betsy Whitney’s Gold Feather Tiara for the Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on 2 May 2022.

I love this tiara so much and I literally gasped when I saw that he was wearing it! You can see the tiara and hear it’s history at the 4 minute mark.
