We had crazy tropical storm winds yesterday and lost WiFi for several hours. We live out in the boonies with little to no cell service, so without WiFi there’s no service at all. There’s that initial panic about being disconnected.. but that quickly gives way to a mellow relief at having the time to one’s self. We’re all so deeply dependent on the internet / cell phone - ‍♀️ at least I know *I* am.. sometimes it’s nice to look that dependency in the eye, and tell her to take a hike for awhile.

It was also the 6 month anniversary of losing my stepfather, so it was as if the universe said: just go outside and be still. We watched the moon and I cried into the grass.
Anniversaries are strange- such arbitrary markers of time, yet.. *yet* they feel so big, and I’m not exactly sure why. It’s almost as if you wait for these special days, and then allow yourself to feel everything: good or bad, joyous or grieving.

Anyway, the moon was large and in charge, the WiFi came back on eventually, the world is still a worse place without him, the sun came up brilliantly this morning, Charlie has already made me laugh dozens of times, life goes on, even when you think it cannot..

Tibetan Quartz is found at very high altitudes in Tibet and Nepal, and is very spiritually cleansing. It is said to resonate with the “OM” vibration, and carry within it the spiritual wisdom of that holy land.
