It was raining. Not too strange for a typical London night. The clock read eight and Tom was already getting lost in the pitter patter of the raindrops against the windowpane of his apartment. It all made so much sense to him, as he listened closely, it sent a tingle to his fingers and he moved them around in the air, placing them in a way he would do on his guitar before striking the chords. He’d spent all of his day today trying to find that damned guitar of his, it sounded mesmerizing albeit being of his grandad’s, its strings though he had changed just last month when he’d struck it too hard after trying to get a note right for a long time.

He moved his fingers around impersonating playing a guitar to the sound of the rain. To someone watching from far, he would look like a crazy man, but to him, it was worship. It was his work after all, nothing mattered more to him as he closed his eyes, eyebrows slightly furrowed in concentration and fingers moving along the sound of rain. He swore if he had his guitar at the moment, he’d make a new melody and noted to do so later when he finds it.

being stuck in bed with a runny nose and a throbbing headache was not how you were expecting to spend your day.

tom basically ordered you to call out sick from work today, not wanting you to work in those conditions, exhausting yourself even more.

he felt terrible for leaving you like this, but he had errands to run, so you insisted on him going. they checked on you every so often, and sam even made you soup, so you were in pretty good hands.

although, you were grateful for them, but you found yourself growing desperate for toms return. watching movies and snacking was getting boring. you needed someone to cuddle.

Peter Parker x Reader

warnings:dark!peter,dub!con,sex pollen

Peter felt guilty, but only a little.

You stood a few feet away from him, and he couldn’t even bother trying to hide the way he was ogling you.

The way your nipples were poking through your shirt had his fingers twitching to pinch them.

Fuck.

He took a deep breathe, trying to calm himself. Balling his fists up at his sides.

It was cold outside the cabin the two of you were residing in for the mission you’d just completed, and apparently inside too.

“Peter, dinners almost ready” you smile sweetly at him and he bites the inside of his cheek at the way blood is already rushing to his cock.

But how could he help it? It was just so domestic, you cooking for him. You didn’t have to, you did it because you wanted to. Because you cared about him, but as a friend. Peter has to remind himself. And friends don’t cross certain boundaries.

But with the way your hair fell around your face as you fixed him a plate had him wanting to web swing right over all those god forsaken boundaries.

“I hope you like it, I’ve only made this dish a few times…” you chirp hopefully and Peter’s stomach churns with affection. You were so cute.

“I’m sure I’m gonna love it Y/N, you’re too good to me” Peter thanks you as you both sit down to eat. You blush at his kind words, you were going to make dinner for yourself. Of course you’d make some for him as well, he was one of your closest friends and favorite team mate.

“I’ll cook for you anytime Pete” you grin, taking your first bite and he follows suit. He doesn’t know what was better, how amazing the food tasted or the sound of you promising to cook for him whenever he wanted.

He groans as his mouth explodes with a mixture of delicious flavors. You find yourself blushing again at the sound of it, rumbling low in his chest.

His brown hair sitting in perfect loose curls on his head. Peter had always been attractive, but now he’s grown up. Broader shoulders, and a more muscular frame made for a way more confident man, assertive almost.

Peter took note of your red cheeks, a small smirk playing on his lips.

“Mmmph, this is amazing Y/N” he compliments you. And he wasn’t lying, you were an amazing cook.

“I’m glad you like it…” you hum. The way you were beaming at him made a feeling of guilt wash over him once again for what he was about to do.

You and Peter had done dozens of missions together, you had a mutual trust. Peter was the genius, you let him handle certain things and you others. Of course you were smart, and read the mission reports etc…but sometimes on a quick retrieval trip like the one you were on now; you didn’t always bother with all the details.

On this trip Peter had paid attention to all the details, like the fact that one of the things you had retrieved was an aphrodisiac from Asgard.

“Let me grab us some drinks” Peter offers, standing before you could even respond. He sighs, pouring you both glasses of wine and the aphrodisiac into yours.

Peter knows he’s betraying your trust by doing this. But he needs you. Every part of him yearns for you. As he sets the glasses down on the table, he prays one day you can forgive him.

“Mmm, is it a bit chilly in here or just me?” You question, taking a sip of your wine. Peter nods in agreement, heart hammering in his chest as he watches you drink.

“Yeah, it is kind of cold” he adds, playing it off and keeping his demeanor calm and collected. This is what he had to do to have you.

You drink and joke, no longer feeling the cold from outside like you did before. Actually; you were getting pretty warm.

Your eyes fall shut as a surge of heat rushes through you, quickly passing. You try to brush it off, but soon your find yourself gripping the table when something stirs deep in your belly. You stifle a moan, curling over to conceal yourself as your face contorts at the random feelings of pleasure.

“Y/N, are you okay?” Peter feigns innocence to your condition, knowing very well what was happening to you. Of course he did his research. He’d never want to hurt you. You’d just finally have that extra push into his arms that he needed.

“I’m fine“ you try to lie, lifting your head up only to be cut off by another burst of pleasure that had your jaw dropping in a gasp.

“Peter..” you whimper, eyes locking with his and he’s next to you in seconds.

“Let’s get you in bed” he suggests, and you agree. You strip down to your tank top and underwear, body still growing hotter and hotter. You couldn’t bother to feel ashamed right now.

Of course you’d been horny but you’d never felt like this before. Your core was practically clenching around nothing at this point and you were counting down the seconds until Peter left so you could shove your hand into your panties and make yourself cum. But Peter had other plans.

He takes off his own shirt, climbing into the bed next to you and pulling you too him. Your body screams in welcome at the contact from a man as handsome as him. But he was a friend; and more importantly your teammate. Sleeping with him was off limits, no matter how wet your pussy was. Or how good he felt pressed against you.

“Peter I could be contagious! What are you doing?” You try your best to scare him off, brain only working at partial capacity at this point. It was taking actual effort to keep yourself from rubbing against him.

“I’m taking care of you” he coos, hand coming up to rest on your side.

“I’m not that kind of sick, you can go I promise” you respond with words, but your body leans into his touch.

“What kind of sick are you then Y/N” he asks, hand sliding up until it sits right under your curve of your breast.

You’re sure he doesn’t realize, certain his hands have the intentions of simply making you feel better. But still your thighs grow sticky with wetness from the feel of them.

“Let me help you Y/N” he whispers, voice laced with something dangerous.

His hand goes up even further until his groping your breast and you hum at how nice his big hand feels.

Fuck, you’re perfect” he groans, flicking your nipple through your shirt and your hips jerk at the how good it feels. Peter smirks, doing it again and you can’t help squeak.

“Peter, stop. We can’t!” You feel yourself have a moment of clarity, this was too much.

“What’s wrong? It’s supposed to feel good if someone plays with your nipples” he answers, leaning in to kiss your neck and both hands now tweaking your nipples.

Your hands go to his shoulders to push him off, but before you can his actions have you succumbing to power of the aphrodisiac again.

“Peter please…” you find yourself begging and Peter bites down on your neck before sucking a bruise into it.

“Please what, baby?” He asks, kissing down the column of your throat and making quick work of your shirt so he can bury his face in your chest.

“More” is all you can choke out as his mouth wraps around your nipple.

Your panties are next to go, his hands eager to get rid of them. He’d dreamed of this.

He runs a finger down your folds, letting his digit get coated by your wetness. He switches nipples as he pushes his first finger into you.

“Oh fuckkk” you drawl, hips bucking at the welcomed intrusion. He chuckles adding another finger, and he grunts at how tight you are.

“So fucking right; even just around my fingers” he breathes finally coming up from your tits to kiss your mouth. His lips were soft but you could feel the strength behind them. He lead and you followed.

“…be even tighter around your cock” you pull away from the kiss breathlessly and Peter takes out his fingers to gently smack your pussy.

“I can only imagine” he quips and you reach your hands up tangle in his thick hair,

“Don’t imagine it, fuck me” you tilt your face up to kiss him again. It’s all tongue and teeth as Peter kicks down his pants and boxers.

Anything you want baby”

And then he’s pushing his hard cock into you. Your back arches, and Peters arms reach under you to pull you as close to him as possible.

He thrusts sharply, dick reaching the deepest parts of you. Your nipples rub against his bare chest, the sound of skin slapping skin echos through the room.

You can barely catch your breath at how good everything feels, and your toes curl as you feel your orgasm approaching.

“Cum for me Y/N” he hums, pressing his lips yours and you struggle to kiss him back as your high washes over you.

Your hips jerk in pleasure, walls contracting around him and bringing him to his own peak. He fills you up, grunting you name as he spills inside of you.

Peter breathes heavily, burying his face in your neck as you both come down.

So much for boundaries.

Stay The Night

Tom Holland x Reader

Warnings: Smut ;)))) fwb!Tom, unprotected sex

You and Tom have been more than friends but less than lovers for a while now. You’re afraid of love but he wants you to stay the night….

You stretch next to Tom, sitting up in his bed. He had almost fallen asleep, but shifts when he feels you move. He wraps his arms around your waist and you sigh.

“Tom you know I have to leave..” you say, removing his hands from their grip on you. You move to grab your clothes but he stops you.

“No you don’t.”

He whispers grimly, and this was the part you dreaded every time you came over here. You and Tom had met long ago, friendship turning into something just a little more when the two of you began sneaking into one another’s beds. You knew Tom had feelings for you, and you wouldn’t deny that you felt for him too. But you wouldn’t let your heart get broken again.

Especially not by him. You’d never be able to escape the memory of him, seeing his face every time one of his movies came out and through all of your mutual friends. It was just too much.

“I want you to stay Y/N. So stay” he admits gently, taking your hand in his. You shake your head, why couldn’t he just let you leave.

“Tom, maybe we should stop seeing each other like this” you whisper, watching his face change at your words.

“Y/N, no. I don’t understand, don’t you want more than just sex? Because I do, I want you. All of you. I’m not ashamed to say that I care for you, and I know you care about me too. So why are you holding back from me; from us?”

You turn towards the man staring at you so intensely you almost melt under his gaze.

“Tom, I just can’t handle another heartbreak right now. And I value you so much as person and a friend. I don’t want to lose that.” You explain, even though something deep inside you was begging for you to just give him a chance.

“Babe, pain and heartbreak are a part of life. You can’t let fear prevent you from enjoying and experiencing new things…like maybe a relationship with me-“ he adds in with small chuckle and you smile.

“But Y/N I promise you, I will do everything in my power to make sure that you don’t get hurt”

“It’s not that simple” you argue and Tom pulls you down onto the bed.

“It could be..” he whispers, climbing on top of you. He uses your nakedness to his advantage, kissing the exposed skin of your chest. Your body shivers at the feeling of his lips on your skin, eyes falling shut when he takes your nipple into his mouth. His tongue rolls over the hard bud and you shiver.

“Tom…” you murmur his name and he looks up at you.

“Just let me take care of you” his voice washes over you, words twisting something deep in your core.

He slides down, breathe fanning over the most sensitive part of you.

His licks up your folds, pausing and sucking when he gets to your clit. You squeal and reach down to grab his hair, still sensitive from your previous activities.

You tug at his hair and he hums, your hips jerking at the vibration it sends through your core. Toms hands caress yours sides before gripping your wriggling hips to keeps you in place.

“Stay still and let me taste you darling” he whispers, breath fanning over your wet pussy and you can’t help but whimper.

“Be a good girl so I can put my fingers in, you gonna stay still for me?” He asks and you nod because how could you say no to anything he asked when he looked so fucking good between your legs.

He leans forward and kisses your clit when you nod, letting go of you with one of his hands. You can feel the tip of his finger at your hole and you put all your effort into being still as he slides one of his long fingers inside of you. He quickly adds another, curling the long digits as he pumps them in and out.

“Fuck, Tom!” You cry out, eyes shut in pleasure.

You feel that tug low in your belly as he works you open.

“Doing such a good job for me baby” he praises you before attaching his mouth back to your pussy. Your toes curl as your orgasm hits you, unable to stop the way your body shakes as you cum on Toms face.

Tom keeps his mouth on you through the whole thing and you have to push his head away when you finally come down.

You’re still trying to catch your breath when Tom comes up to look at you,

“I want you, more than this” Tom reminds you with a kiss, you feel drunk on him.

His soft hair tickles your forehead and his hands come up to cup your face. The weight of him on top you feels so right and everything in that moment was bliss.

You were scared of getting hurt, but if you could have more moments like this? Then you knew trying with Tom would be worth it.

“I want you too Tom…” you tell him, wrapping your arms around him “…let’s try”

“Thank you…” was all he whispered, lining himself up with your entrance.

Your head falls backwards the second he pushes into you, nails digging into his shoulders. He fucks you like he has something to prove, his sharp, deep thrusts hitting all the right spots.

“Fuck babe!” You moan out when he pushes one of your legs up and your toes curl at the new angle.

You finally gather yourself enough to look up at him, body glistening with sweat and face contorted in pleasure. You can’t help but moan at sight, boosting Toms ego.

“You look so pretty. Looking up at me while I fuck you” he grunts, pounding you even harder now. You wrap both your legs around his waist, feeling yourself grow close. The brunette reaches down to rub your clit and then your orgasm is washing over you.

“I’m gonna cum Y/N” Tom pants, and you clench your walls around him.

“Cum for me Tommy ” you hum, voice completely sexed out before licking his earlobe and he’s done for.

Toms hips stutter as he spills into you and you rock your hips against him until he’s finished.

He catches his breath, looking at you with a smile.

“Did you mean what you said?” He asks and you nod sleepily.

“I did, but can we talk about it in the morning? I’m tired” you giggle and Tom moves to get off of you but you pull him back down. He settles on top of you with a grin.

So your staying?”

I’m gonna stay, Tom

Tom Holland x reader

summary: the father of the brides wedding speech

warnings: light references to smut, alcohol, mentions of grief

///////////////////////

“Hello everyone, I’m very pleased you could all celebrate with us on such a magical day. We are of course here in honour of the union of two people, one of which being my gorgeous daughter. I feel as though I should skip the normal father-of-the-bride speech because most of you will already know how unbelievably amazed I am by Y/n everyday. So instead… I thought I’d talk you through the story of Tom becoming my son-in-law.”

The air in the room stilled, with a collective sense of foreboding about what your dad would go on to say. None more so than you and your new husband. Both of you squirmed in your seats and you took the opportunity to grab his hand under the table. The action was meant to reassure Tom- though really you had no assurance yourself.

“Now I am sure most of you here know just how much I have resented Tom through the four painful years he has spent worming his way into my family. And, as proven by the fact we are here today - you can see my efforts to push Y/n away from him have hopelessly and tragically failed. “

The whole room laughed- if a little nervously. Except your family, the people who knew your dad incredibly well… because you could see the little grin that kept attempting to takeover his whole face- having to be consciously withheld. He was having a bit of fun, just making sure it was super awkward for Tom too. You felt yourself relax back, which only made Toms apprehension even more entertaining.

“I have, at times, been told off by multiple people for being ‘too harsh’ on Tom here. So I am using this speech as my legal statement, sworn truth under oath…. so that you can all make your individual minds up as to whether I was just being ‘an uptight old fart’ like Y/n has described me on numerous occasions. Or… if my anger and disapproval have been justified. So sit back and enjoy the reasons why I hate the spiderboy.”

Who’d You Rather

tom holland x reader

summary: if there’s one thing Ellen is known for, it’s exposing secret relationships

a/n: this was written so quickly and not proof-read. also, i picked Ellen because if anyone would do this, it would be her lol

✧・゚: ✧・゚:✧・゚: ✧・゚:

July 2019

“So Y/N, are you currently dating anyone?” asks Ellen, taking a sip from her mug.
You shake your head.
“Not currently, no.”
Ellen nods.
“Well, please don’t worry anymore. We’re going to help you find someone in a little game we like to call Who’d You Rather?”

“Oh God,” you laugh, twisting slightly in your seat to glare at your manager for agreeing to this who laughed and poked her tongue out at you.
“So all you need to do is look at the photos I show you and pick between these two options, alright?”
“Okay, if you insist.” you roll your eyes, facing the large screen.
“I do. So to start off, Timothee Chalamet or Dylan O'Brien?”
“Oh, wow,” you laugh. “Starting off strong. Well, I was an absolute hoe for Maze Runner when it came out so I have to pick Dylan. Plus, I know Timothee better so it would be kinda awkward if I chose him.”
The picture of Timothee fades away and is replaced by a new photo.
“Dylan O'Brien or Harry Styles?”
“Harry fucking Styles.” you say without hesitation and the audience cheers. Ellen nods.
“Harry Styles or Florence Pugh?”
You bury your head in your hands.
“How could you ask me that, Ellen? That’s like asking someone to pick between cookie dough and mint chip ice cream! Impossible.”
Ellen mimes tapping at her watch and tuts at you.
“Time’s ticking, Y/N. Make your choice.”
You sigh.
“It’s absolutely Florence then. Sorry, Harry.”
“Florence pugh or Chris Evans?” Ellen asks.
“Flo.”
Ellen’s eyes gleam as she quickly reads the next pair of names, rubbing her hands together in a comically evil fashion.
“Florence Pugh or Tom Holland?”
You slide down on your chair, laughing and covering your face with your hands.
“Ellen!” you shriek. “I’ve just come off my second movie co-starring with Tom and he’s literally my best friend. You can’t ask me this!”
Ellen grins.
“Florence Pugh or Tom Holland?” she repeats.
You pout at the camera.
“Flo, I am so sorry. Please still be my friend. I pick Tom.”
The crowd roars in approval and you wave a hand at them, laughing.
“Shhhh, guys.”
“Tom Holland or Jake Gyllenhaal?” asks Ellen.
“Tom Holland.”
“Tom Holland or Hailee Steinfeld?”
“Tom Holland.”
“Tom Holland or Niall Horan?”
You hesitate, biting your lip as Tom’s frozen grin stares down at you from the photo.
“I…fuck. Tom?” you say, almost as a question.
“So it’s Tom?” Ellen grins. “Speak now or forever hold your peace.”
You nod, sitting up straight and crossing your legs.
“It’s Tom.”
Ellen stares straight into the camera as an assistant signals an upcoming ad break. She rests one hand on your shoulder as she addresses the audience.
“Tom Holland, you’d better act quickly. Y/N is currently sitting by her phone, waiting for your call. Don’t mess this up.”

✧・゚: ✧・゚:✧・゚: ✧・゚:

April 2021

You relax into the plush cushion of the chair on Ellen’s set once again. You are paying attention, sort of. You nod and laugh in all the right places, offering stories and jokes when needed but your mind is miles away. Ellen can pick up on this and she shifts in her seat.
“Y/N.” she says, holding eye contact. “Can I have your phone please?
Your eyes widen as you reach into the pocket of your oversized blazer, following her request and placing the unlocked device in Ellen’s waiting hand.
"I wonder,” she says out loud, “who we can get to answer your call?”
“Oh God,” you laugh, covering your face. “If no one picks up I’ll be so embarrassed.”
“The Watermelon Man?” Ellen questions, reading off of the screen. “Shall we call the Watermelon Man, whoever that is?”
You cover your face, laughing.
“Jesus. If Harry Styles doesn’t pick up I think I’ll throw myself off a cliff.”
The phone rings three times before a voice rings out from a noisy background.
“Y/N! How are you?” laughs Harry. “This is a surprise, I have to admit.”
“Harry!” you call out, before he can say anything else. “Ellen’s hijacked my phone and started ringing people, I’m so sorry.”
“Oh, she has?” Harry asks mischievously. “I’ll make sure not to mention anything about our upcoming collaboration then…” he trails off and you can practically hear him winking through the phone as he hangs up.
“That absolute fucker,” you laugh, rolling your eyes at his spoiler as Ellen is already scrolling through your contacts list again.
“Oh!” she exclaims, eyes bright. “Y/N, I thought you told us you weren’t dating anyone? May I ask who ‘My Darling ’ is?”
You freeze on the spot, mouth drying out as you blink at Ellen, desperately trying to jump start your brain into snatching the phone back. You glance over at your manager who is sat stock still, just as shocked as you are.
The phone rings five times and you breathe a sigh of relief. It’s 3AM in London right now, he’s not going to pick up.
Just as you’ve collected your heart off of the floor and smoothed your hair down, ready to make a self deprecating joke about this mystery person not picking up, there’s a pause and the a collective gasp from the audience as the phone connects.
“Hello my love, is everything alright?” asks Tom in his groggy, raspy morning voice.
Ellen’s jaw hits the floor so quickly you’re shocked it doesn’t fall off entirely.

The end of a tour was always a strange time. After so many weeks of living on the road with your closest friends, it was a shock to come back to reality. The end of this tour was especially hard, knowing it would be the last time you’d perform with your band for a while as you all took a well-deserved break.

Tom had witnessed the effect this had on you, and after spending a few days stroking your hair as you lay on the sofa binge-watching reality TV, letting you rest up he came to you with an idea. An escape from dribbly London, a holiday to celebrate and take your mind off of things. He suggested you invite the rest of the girls too, and once Harry, Harrison, and Tuwaine heard about the trip they were all too excited to crash it.

So here you were, the eight of you sprawled out underneath the blue Bali sky, listening to the gentle crashing of the waves and feeling the warmth of the sun beating down on your skin.

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

The boys had eventually tackled each other into the ocean and you lay on a beach towel, surrounded by the rest of your band. In your relaxed state, you only half register the familiar giggle approaching your towel, accompanied with a grumbly, “watch it, Tom!” from Jade as he no doubt blocked her sunlight. Something cold and wet hit your shoulder, followed by a cascade of tiny drips pattering over your stomach and you shriek, opening your eyes to meet Tom’s crinkly ones as he stands above you, shaking out his wet curls over you.

“Toooooom!” you groan, shivering at the cold water.

“Y/NNNNNN!” he mocks, dropping down onto the sand next to you and wrapping an arm around your shoulders.

“What was that for?” you ask. “I was sunbathing.”

He shrugs.

“What’s the fun in having a girlfriend if you can’t bug the hell out of her?” he grins, knocking his forehead into yours.

You roll your eyes, inadvertently snuggling into his side. You can never stay annoyed at him for long.

“Anyway, I came over hear to ask you to play chicken with Tuwaine and I.” he says. “Otherwise I gotta have Harry on my team and he sucksat chicken.”

You snort into his shoulder, nodding.

“Harrydoessuck at chicken.”

Before you even have a chance to decide whether to play, Perrie is hopping up off her towel, grabbing your hand and pulling you to your feet.

“Pez!” you shriek as she tugs you towards the water, Tom laughing and jogging after the both of you. “What the hell is going on?”

“A game!” she cheers. “We have to hurry, I want to win!”

You wobble slightly, grabbing onto Tom as you try to stay on his shoulders with his arms wrapped around your legs.

“Ouch!” he screeches. “My ears, love, why are you grabbing my-”

“Oh shit,” you laugh, bending down to press a kiss to his red ears in apology and sticking your arms out for balance instead. “Sorry.”

“Come on!” calls Perrie as she approaches, balanced perfectly on Tuwaine’s shoulders. “Are you ready to loose?”

When you’re closer, you reach out and rest your hands on her shoulders and she copies your action.

“Ready?” calls Tuwaine.

“Three, two-”

Perrie gives an almighty shove before Tuwaine can even say one, sending Tom stumbling backwards and you sliding off his shoulders into the water.

“Perrie Edwards!” you shriek, coughing saltwater out. “He didn’t even get to one!”

Perrie laughs as she and Tuwaine high five. Tom has recovered at this point and wraps one arm around you as you stand up.

“Are you okay?” he laughs.

You nod, tapping his shoulders to signal him to crouch down. He obliges and you clamber back on determinedly. Tom puffs his chest out as you approach the other team, preparing to win this time.

“Is everyone ready this time?” laughs Tuwaine. “Alright. Three, two, one-”

“FIGHT!” you yell, pushing hard on both Perrie’s shoulders. She teeters backwards but regains her balance, pushing you back in retaliation. You both grapple with each other, and just as Tuwaine stumbles backward and you think that you and Tom have this one in the bag, she reaches out and pushes against your hip, pushing you off sideways.

You scream as you fly through the air, hitting the water with an almighty splash. You fall so forcefully you go right down to the blue bottom, scraping your knee against a particularly sharp shell. Before you can properly register what happened and resurface, a pair of strong arms reach down and pull you up into the sunlight. Tom gasps in relief, holding you close to chest bridal style as he checks you over.

“Darling! Are you alright?” he worries.

You nod, blinking against the harsh light and giggle slightly at his protective state.

“Tommy I’m fine! It’s not even that deep. I just got a shock, is all.”

Tom looks unconvinced and pouts as his eyes sweep over your legs.

“You’re bleeding, darling.” he says, gently holding your knee.

You glance down and see that he’s actually right. There’s a gash across your left knee and a steady stream of red blood streams out, fading into the clear ocean water. Perrie wades over, looking guilty.

“Y/N I’m so sorry babe! I got to competitive and you got hurt!”

You shake your head, pressing a kiss to her cheek.

“I’mfineyou lot of worriers! It looks worse than it is, honestly it’s not deep. I’m fine.”

“I’m going to take you back up to the beach and have a look at it.” says Tom, wading out into the shallows. You roll your eyes but know you can’t stop him as he carries you up the beach, laying you on a towel near the rest of the group. Jade and Leigh-Anne have gone off somewhere and Harrison is out cold underneath his sunhat, but Harry shakes his head as Tom crouches over you, pressing tiny kisses to your knee and trying to wipe the remaining blood away, wincing whenever he looks to closely.

“This never would have happened if you’d let me play chicken, Tom.” Harry laughs.

Tom shoots him a death glare and Harry quietens, sensing how worried Tom is about you.

“Sorry,” he mutters, turning to you. “Seriously, are you okay Y/N?”

You reach out and playfully smack the redhead, rolling your eyes.

“For the last time, I’m fine! It’s literally a small cut and everyone’s acting like I’ve been partially beheadedor something.”

Harry snorts in laughter as he holds up his hands in surrender.

Tom leans over to someone’s large beach bag, searching for some kind of Band-Aid for you. He chucks items in his way behind him as he does so, a tube of sunscreen landing in the middle of Harrison’s stomach who wakes up with an “oof”.

“There’s nothing in here, darling.” Tom sighs. He stands up and reaches down, picking you up bridal style again. “I’m going to take you back to our room and we’ll find you something there.”

You nod, not even trying to protest as you know you won’t convince him.

Harrison sits up, blinking as he adjusts to the sunlight. He catches sight of Tom striding towards the hotel with you in his arms and frowns at Harry who only shrugs at him, opening up a trashy magazine you had left.

“Y/N!” calls Harrison. “Are you okay??”

✧・゚: *✧・゚:*✧・゚: *✧・゚:*

“He didn’t swim into you on purpose, Y/N” sighs Leigh-Anne. “You just happened to snorkel right into his house, that’s all.” She tries to reassure you as you all crowd around a table in a tiny restaurant, you cosying up in the corner of the booth between her and Tom.

“I saw the bloodlust in his tiny fishy eyes, Leigh,” you say, shuddering at the memory of only a few hours ago. “He had an evil plan.”

Tom picks up his fork and brandishes it at invisible fish all around your table. “Back off!” he barks. “Back off, say I! Away from my girlfriend!”

You grab his fork, placing it down on the table and knocking your head into his shoulder as you try so hard to stay serious at his childish antics.

“Tom!” you hiss. “You’re making a scene.”

He shrugs.

“I’m an actor darling, it’s what I do. The other thing I do is protect my wonderful girlfriend against supervillain fish plotting against her.”

It’s at this moment that there is a simultaneous lull in everyone else’s conversations and all six heads turn to look at you and Tom, blinking for a second before bursting out in laughter.

“Evil supervillain fish?” splutters Jade, as Tom buries his head in your shoulder.

“You all heard it out of context,” he mutters sheepishly.

You’re deep in a conversation with Leigh-Anne about a recent performance when you notice Tom has been uncharacteristically quiet. You turn to see him leaning away from you, seemingly invested in a photo Perrie’s showing him on her phone. Looking closer, you see she’s proudly showing him pictures of baby Axel. “Oh, and look at this one with him and Hatchi,” she coos.

Tom gives ‘oohs’ and ‘aahs’ in all the right places, nodding and grinning with his eyes trained on the phone but he drums his fingers on the table, fidgeting and shifting in his seat. Before you can ask if he’s okay, you’re all distracted by the food arriving. Once everyone’s started eating you lean into his side and put your mouth near his ear.

“Hey,” you whisper, conversation drowned out to the rest of the group by the chatter of everyone else. “Are you okay? Did Perrie ambush you with baby photos?”

He laughs softly, resting a hand on top of yours.

“Don’t worry about me, love. Just seeing all the baby photos, it got me thinking and excited for the future.” he whispers.

Your heart skips a beat and he grins properly, pressing a kiss to your head. He gives you one last smile before tucking into his meal.

“Oh my God,” he moans. “This is fucking incredible! Darling, you have to try some.”

He scoops up some of his meal on his fork, twisting in his seat and placing his free hand under your chin so he can feed you a mouthful. He’s not wrong, the food is absolutely incredible and is made even better when you’re surrounded by your best friends in the world. The sweet moment is interrupted by Harry and Jade making gagging sounds and pretending to be sick from their end of the table as they try to glare at you and Tom, but neither can hide the shine in their eyes as they watch you two.

As the night grows dark and the group is only illuminated by the colorful lanterns hanging above the table, Jade taps her knife against her glass, waiting until the whole table is watching attentively. Jade clears her throat.

“Before we leave tonight, I want to raise a toast. Or maybe a few toasts, so we might need to get some more to drink over here. Firstly, I want to toast to the girls.” She glances around at you all, eyes shining. You can already feel yourself welling up and Leigh-Anne clasps your hand under the table for comfort. “You girls have been the best sisters for the last ten years. We couldn’t have done any of this without each other, and I’m so proud of everything we’ve achieved. Seven incredible albums, the tours, the awards, the music videos, the performances, the fans we’ve met, winning Best British Group-” you all cheer, Tuwaine reaching two fingers up to his mouth to whistle and Tom wrapping an arm around you and squeezing you into his side -“but most of all, our friendship,” Jade continues. “I think it’s fair to say that our friendship has gotten us through the last ten years together, and I just wanted to tell you all how much I appreciate you lot. I love you.” she sniffles, raising her glass. “To Little Mix!”

“To Little Mix!” you all chorus, clinking your glasses and wiping away stray tears.

“I’ve got a toast too, because I don’t think Jade can get through another one,” laughs Perrie, holding Jade as she sniffles and hiccups slightly. “I want to raise a toast to Tom and Y/N. Now, Y/N.” she begins. “We’ve always been a little protective over you, though God knows you don’t need it, really. I know we tend to tease you and Tom a lot for having absolutely zero boundaries and piling on the PDA when you’re together, but it’s only because we love you both so much. It’s been an honor to watch you fall in love, bub.” she says.

“And to have been the three co-authors of every text Tom received from you for the first six months of your relationship.” adds Leigh-Anne, knocking her shoulder into yours.

“Wait, what?” Tom laughs.

“Mind you though Tom, Little Mix will reassemble to commit a felony if you ever hurt her,” pipes in Jade.

“To Tom and Y/N,” cheers Perrie, ignoring him and raising her glass. “For being Tom and Y/N!”

Tom buries his hand in his jacket that he’d tucked around your shoulders when it had started to get color and rests his head on top of yours, basking in the moment with you.

“And for paying for this trip!” cheers Harry.

summary: rumors fly during an interview leading to a shock announcement for tom and his girlfriend

a/n: inspired by a tiktok i saw months ago and have not stopped thinking abt since
i literally could not think of one panel-type event that wasnt comic-con i am so sorry flsjsjksjs

・°☆.。.:・°☆.。.:・°☆

Tom shifts in his seat, running one hand through his curls as he tries to keep his face animated and stop his eyes glazing over. he’s been sat on a vaguely uncomfortable chair for the last hour or so at Comic-Con, promoting his latest movie and as much as he loves his job and the fans, all he wants to do is crawl into bed and curl up next to you for a good twelve hours.

“Tom?” prompts the interviewer.

“I- I’m so sorry, what was your question?” he asks, flushing in embarrassment at being caught zoning out.

“Is Y/N here today?” repeats the interviewer patiently.

Tom grins at the mention of your name and he sits up taller, eyes scanning the crows until he finds you, hoodie pulled up over your head to hide from eagle-eyed fans.

“She is, yeah. I basically dragged her here so we could kind of spend time together, as an apology.” he admits.

“An apology?” the interviewer says. “What did you do, Tom?”

“Yeah, what did you do, Tom?” echoes one of his co-stars, laughing.

“I fell asleep during our movie date.” Tom admits sheepishly, shaking his head at the roar of laughter from the crowd. “Twenty minutes in, I was out cold.”

“You didn’t!” laughs the interviewer. “What did she do?”

“She was the absolute best, of course. She just held me and stroked my hair and wrapped me up in a blanket and then stayed on the sofa with me all night.” he says, eyes crinkling at the general “awww” from the crowd.

The interviewer’s eyes glint mischievously as Tom tells his story, clearly sensing a way to divert the interview to The Good Stuff™.

“So speaking of Y/N, there’s been a lot of talk about you two online recently.” he starts. “Specifically, engagement rumors? Is there any basis, any truth to these rumors?”

Tom shifts around as he stalls for time until he can meet your eyes in the crowd, raising his fluffy eyebrow ever so slightly to silently ask if you’re okay with him talking about your relationship. You give him a tiny nod, encouraging him to go on.

“No, we’re not engaged.” he says. “But we’ve honestly never been happier than we are right now. She’s so creative, and caring, and funny, and gorgeous. There’s no one else I’d rather spend my life with.”

You can’t help but feel slightly choked up as he gushes, resisting the urge to throw off your hoodie and run up to the stage, crushing him into a bear hug and never letting go.

“WHEN ARE YOU PROPOSING?!” yells a particularly enthusiastic fan, rousing cheers from the rest of the crowd and the cast members on stage.

Tom laughs as he winks at you again.

“When I’m sure she’ll say yes.”

This, of course, results in almost hysterical screams (affectionate).

You pull your phone from your pocket, tapping on Tom’s contact and typing out a message. He’s watching you of course, so when he feels his phone buzz in his pocket he pulls it out, cheering like an excited seven year old, “I got a text! From Y/N!”

Y/N: i’d marry you in a heartbeat baby <3

He blows a kiss in your direction, grinning from ear to ear. As he’s distracted, gazing at you lovingly, a co-star leans over his shoulder and reads the text.

“Holy shit!” they laugh. “Did Tom Holland just get engaged?”

The screams reach an all-time record and you wince slightly, bringing a hand up to your ringing ear. Tom snatches his phone closer, rolling his eyes.

“Hold your horses!” he laughs. “Let me check.”

He balances the microphone in his left hand as he types out a quick message.

tommy: Did we just get engaged??

Y/N: we will be when you give me that rock hidden at the back of your sock drawer

Tom’s soft brown eyes crinkle around the edges as he grins all but leaps up from his chair.

“Is this interview wrapping up soon?” He asks cheekily. “I’ve got to go get engaged.”

Maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad.

The illusion of time had once again slipped through your fingers. Without any vivid consciousness, you’d made it back to your hotel and stood in front of the giant wall mirror. Your hair fell in loose curls down your shoulder that you’d only done moments ago, framing your face that held a ‘natural’ make-up look, that contained far too much make-up to be considered natural. The only clothes currently covering your figure were your underwear and bra, as you thought over what to wear. The letter addressed to everyone had said the event was semi-formal. Whatever that meant.

After trying on almost everything you’d brought with you, you landed on a small black number. It was a strapless dress that hugged your figure divinely. It was a satin black with a length that went just below your knee, however there was a slit up the right side that showed off most of your thigh. I didn’t fake tan for nothing. You dressed it up slightly with layered silver necklaces, along with a few rings. Finally, topping it off with your black strappy heels. I bet Tom will like this. The thought crashed into your mind out of nowhere. You shook your head and sprayed on some perfume before collecting your purse and invitation.

You were escorted once again by the same driver that took you to set earlier. You gave him the address on the invitation, but he dismissed it, clearly already sure of where he was headed. This time, the drive was actually quite short, and you’d managed to stay focused the entire time. You’d watched as the tall city building began fading and the larger, modern houses began appearing, many of them mainly hidden behind great hedges, or large stone fences. You watched as the neighbourhoods became richer and richer, slightly wondering what it would be like to live a life as glamorous as this. The only really nice house you’d been to was Reese Witherspoon’s. She owned a gorgeous mansion in Los Angeles, and she’d invited the cast of Big Little Lies around for dinner one night. You tried not to freak out too much. However, that was probably the moment you’d really felt your fame beginning to kick in.

The front of the house was guarded by an incredibly large gate, surrounded by a regal stone fence. There was two men waiting by the gate each in a black suit, obviously waiting for the guests to arrive. Your black tinted window was lowered for you. One of the men, the larger, balder one, asked for your invitation. You obliged, and the other man nearer to the gate opened it. The drive-way wasn’t very long, but it was large, there was room for probably 5 to 6 cars to park, along with a garage to the side that seemed to fit 2 or 3 cars. The house was noticeably large from the outside, with an older architectural design. The outer walls were mainly painted white with a dark coloured roofing. Your driver pulled up as close as possible to the door, to which you kindly thanked him and hopped out. The nerves set back in, you weren’t sure how many people had arrived, you weren’t even entirely sure who was coming, other than Tom, of course. You were once again greeted at the door by a larger man in a black suit, you’d concluded this was probably the security for the evening. He opened the door for you, without saying a word. You mumbled a thank you as you entered.

Everything was almost how you’d expected it. A chic, clean design throughout the house. An elegant stairway to the right, with a huge open plan. One of the living rooms was to the left, with the kitchen further down. You were greeted by a familiar face, it was the younger gentleman who’d given you the invitation in the first place. He welcomed you to the event before introducing himself as Donald, stating that he was Martin’s personal assistant. He directed you down the large hallway into another of the living spaces. It was passed the stairs to the right. You entered the large room, not knowing what to expect. It was a huge room with incredible leather furniture and a large plasma TV that hung above a magnificent fireplace. The space was opened further as large sliding doors on the back wall opened out to a deck. The flooring inside was dark wooden floors that echoed the sound of your heels as you walked. After noticing the interior design of the place, you finally took notice of the figures scattered through the room. It looked as though most people had arrived.

It didn’t take long to notice the waiter walking around the room with a metal tray that held a few full champagne flutes. You were quick to grab one from him, politely thanking him as you still stood in the doorway of the room. You turned your body slightly, shielding people from seeing the glass in your hand as you bought it up to your lips. You decided it would be a good idea to try and down the whole thing in one go. They do it in movies all the time, right? You quickly got through about ¾ of the drink before the burning sensation really hit your throat. You pulled it away from your mouth, almost spilling the rest of it down your chin. Fuck, how do people do that. You sputtered. The champagne was actually really nice, but the alcoholic after taste is what stopped you. What a stupid idea. Go socialise.

You made your way deeper into the room, scanning where you might be able to stop for a pleasant conversation. Part of you just wanted the floor to swallow you whole. Your eyes quickly found Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig. You initiated small talk with the pair for the second time today, which began attracting a bigger crowd. Finn Wolfhard, Idris Elba, and Sean Bean all joined the chatter, each introducing themselves to you. On top of all that, you were now starting to feel the small side-effects of that champagne as your eyes began to find it hard to focus. You noticed a few more people joining the circle, some producers and editors had made it to the party too. God, I’m never going to remember all these names.

A hand lightly slid across your lower back, someone’s confident. You sternly turned to see who it was as you were ripped away from the moment in front of you. Just like this morning, you were greeted with a large grin and curly brown hair.

“Hi (Y/N).” He greeted, warmly.

“Hi Tom.” You responded, his contagious grin rubbing off on you. You pulled him into an embracing hug, to further greet him.

“I’m glad you’re here.” He finally said as you two broke apart.

“You knew I was going to be here.” You replied, with a questioning look.

“Yea, but I almost thought you weren’t going to show up.”

“What would give you that idea?” You pressed.

“Well, you seemed pretty nervous at the meeting today.”

“Oh, I’m glad I gave off that impression.” You joked, all your tense muscles beginning to relax. Tom laughed at your response.

“It’s okay. I was super nervous the first time I did one of those meet up things, too.” He assured you.

“When was the first time you had to do it?” You queried.

“Like, late 2014. I had to do it for Captain America; Civil War. It was a pretty huge cast and they’d all been in Marvel movies before, except for me. And plus, I was like 18 at the time. It was super overwhelming.” Tom explained. You found yourself almost getting lost as he spoke, like some sort of trance. You wanted to sit and listen to him speak forever. It’s probably just the alcohol.

“How’d you get through it?”

“Robert Downey Jr was a huge help. He kinda took me under his wing, and mentored me through all of it. When someone that famous starts paying attention to you, it makes the whole thing surprisingly less daunting.”

“So, what you’re saying is, I need to make Tom Hardy my mentor.” You stated, confidently. Earning another chuckle from Tom. His smile expanded hugely when he laughed, forcing the corners of his eyes to crinkle up and his head to push back slightly.

“Good job picking the most threatening guy in the room.” He replied, laughter still escaping his lips.

“You think so?”

“Look at the guy! He huge! He’s built like a brick shit house!” Both of you now giggling away at each other. The alcohol in both of your systems seemed to be working.

“I thought I was the most threatening guy in the room!” You interjected.

“Yea, all 5’6 ft of you.” He wittily replied.

“No, seriously. Wanna know who I think the most threatening person is?” You grabbed Tom’s suit covered arm and turned his body to the right. “Christian Bale.” You continued, without even giving Tom time to guess. “I mean have you seen American Psycho?” Both of you now facing where Christian stood on the other side of the room. Without consciously realising, you arm slipped around his, now interlinked together as you tried to not obviously stare at Christian.

“Of course I’ve seen American Psycho, it’s a fucking great film.” Tom exclaimed back, tensing his bicep as the two of you squeezed your linked arms together. I guess we both get a little too friendly when we’re drunk.

Your eyes widened and grin expanded as you looked up at him with a questioning glare.

“No. I mean-” Tom stuttered slightly. “The cinematography is great and the acting is fucking incredible, but obviously the story is pretty fucked up.” He added, peering down at you. Considering your bodies were held side-by-side, your faces ended up very close to each other. God, that cologne. You had to bite down on your lip to not audibly moan, he smelt so fucking amazing. There was a clink of metal against glass, silencing the chatter amongst the room.

“If everyone could please head into the dinning area, dinner is being served!” Martin announced.

The group of you slipped into the dining area, Tom sticking close to your side. You actually felt a lot of comfort having him close to you, making you feel as though you weren’t as lonely as when you’d arrived.

There was no particular seating arrangement around the extended dining table, everyone simply found a space and sat down. You’d managed to secure a seat with Timothée to your right, and Tom sat to your left.

“Hey, I don’t think we’ve had the chance to meet yet. I’m (Y/N).” You spoke to Timothée. The mixture of alcohol and Tom’s contagious confidence swirled in your mind.

“Oh yea. Nice to meet you. I’m Timothée.” He replied, his voice was soft and welcoming.

“I’m actually a big fan. I’ve seen heaps of your work.” You began, “I absolutely loved Beautiful Boy. I’ve always wanted to work with Steve Carell.” Timothée’s eyes lit up, and you began your in depth conversation about how much you both adored Steve, most of your love stemming from the fact that The Office was your favourite TV show.

It didn’t take long before your entree was served. The waiter informed you it was ‘peppercorn-crusted short ribs with lemon, olives, and radishes’. You thanked him as you stared in awe at the plate in front of you. The smell of the deliciously cooked meat hit you first, then the incredible colours of the plate, from the green of the garnish, to the yellow of the lemon, and the pink of the radish. You weren’t really used to fine dining.

You took no time to dig into your meal. “This is so nice.” You conveyed to Tom.

“I know.” He responded, eyes wide and mouth full. “There’s this amazing restaurant in central London that does food like this. I’ll take you there sometime.” He added, almost absentmindedly. Take me to dinner? Is that an offer for a date?

“Sounds good.” You simply replied. Moving to take another bite of your food.

You continued to chat to Timothée, sparking conversation about working with Robert Pattinson, Tom decided to join too. The three of you continued chatting and laughing as your main courses were brought out. It was once again introduced to you, ‘braised chicken with hazelnut and chilli paste with a turnip and wild mushroom bake’. It was difficult being polite and waiting for everyone to get their food before you could begin eating. Everything looked and smelled amazing. This really was the life of the rich and famous. Having all these beautiful meals catered and served to you in your own home. God, I could get used to this.

Conversation flowed easily throughout the table. People joking about ‘who would win in a fight between Batman and James Bond’, or people discussing ‘Venom and Spider-Man being in a movie together’, in which Tom Holland was very eager to talk about. You even had the chance to talk to a few more actors, including Anthony Hopkins. You essentially just told him how much you loved his work, and how grateful you were to be working with him on this film. He replied stating that him and his wife were huge fans of Big Little Lies, and you just about fainted on the spot.

Next was dessert. It was simply ‘authentic Italian tiramisu’. It looked nice and clean on the plate, with the lightest dusting of cocoa powder. I wish I saved more room for dessert. Just as everyone was about to begin eating, Martin stood up and began a speech.

“First of all, thank you all for being here tonight.” With that line, you peered around the room. It finally began to sink in how surreal this all was. You were sitting in Martin Scorsese’s dining room with actors that you’d only dreamed of meeting. I guess I’ve finally made it.

Martin went on to state that the tiramisu was due to his Italian culture, and that he’d never really done a British film before, but he was so excited to do Silent Britain with this cast. And with that, he told everyone to dig in.

The chatting and laughter continued in the room, however your conversation just focused on Tom.

“Well, I was born and raised in Reading, but I’ve moved into a little house in Wimbledon now with a friend because it’s so much nicer living close to central London.” You explained.

“I live in Kingston!” Tom exclaimed back,

“Holy shit. We’re practically neighbors.” You laughed in response. You exchanged the streets you both lived on, and found out you actually lived about 10 minutes away from each other. What a coincidence. The two of you talked about the best places to get food around where you lived, and the best pubs.

“Are you going to finish that?” Tom asked, pointing over at your half-eaten tiramisu.

“No. I feel bad, but I’ve eaten so much already-” before you could even finish, Tom swapped his empty plate with yours, and began eating away at your dessert.

“Thanks love.” He stated, cheekily.

“How can you eat so much?’ You laughed back,

“I had to get really skinny for the last role I did, and I was deprived of good food for so long, so now I’m trying to fatten up again and just eating whatever I want.”

“‘Fatten up’” you mocked, “I’ve seen the Spider-Man movies, you’ve never been fat.” You chuckled.

“Well, then I’m trying to bulk up. Whenever I go to the gym nowadays I can’t do half the shit I used to be able to do when I was training for Spider-Man.”

“I love going to the gym. We should work out together.” You smirked. This delicious champagne is giving me far too much power. Tom turned towards you, looking you up and down only slightly.

“We definitely can’t go to the gym together.” He responded, washing down his last mouthful of tiramisu with some beer.

“Why not?” You asserted back.

“Because you’d be way too much of a distraction.” Tom stated, his voice darker than before. Every fibre of your being told you to take him to the bathroom and slam him up against a wall right now. But, obviously, that’s a little rude.

“Your loss, Holland.” You replied, just above a whisper, with a flirtatious smirk.

You could tell by the movements around you that the night was coming to an end. The table was being entirely cleared, people were picking up their bags and putting their coats on. You lifted your handbag off the ground below your seat and swung it over your shoulder. As you stood from your chair, you tried your best to hold your stomach in. I shouldn’t have worn such a tight dress.

“Where are you headed?” Tom asked, throwing his suit jacket on.

“I’m staying at the Four Seasons.” You replied,

“Me too.” He looked at you, almost as if you’d just blown his mind. “We should get a lift back there together.” He added.

“Sounds like a good idea.” You smiled, your body closed the gap between the two of you and you grabbed the collar of his jacket to fix it for him, so it wasn’t sticking out. He beamed down at you.

“Thanks love.”

The two of you went over and graciously thanked Martin for hosting tonight. “Make sure you two get to know each other before filming! I want the chemistry to look real!” Martin expressed, to which you and Tom chuckled. That definitely won’t be a difficult task. You both said good-bye to a few others that you’d talked to throughout the night and strolled out the door.

Tom quickly went over to one of the many black SUVs lined up outside, opening the back door for you. “Thank you.” You smiled at him as you hopped in. You told the driver where to go and the ride began.

“Was Robert Downey Jr’s parties anything like that?” You questioned, turning your body on the seat to face Tom.

“Honestly, Robert’s parties are way more extravagant than that. He likes to go really over the top with them. I’ll take you to one one day.” Perfect. Another date.

“Have you got more Marvel movies to make?”

“Yea, I’m definitely making another Spider-Man movie, and then I guess we’ll see where my contract goes after that. I’m not entirely sure what the plan is, and Marvel is always pretty hush-hush about everything. Have you ever thought about doing a superhero movie?”

“Yea. I’ve definitely thought about it.” Tom gazed as you with a faint, comforting smile as you spoke. “I’ve just never really found a role to audition for. And I’ve heard they’re a lotof work.”

“They definitely are. The filming goes on forever. But all of the cast and crew are always super awesome people, and they’re always so good at what they do. I feel like being in those films has really elevated my acting skills, you know?”

“Yea, definitely. Being around other incredible actors on set seriously helps.”

“Well, let me know if you ever want me to put in a good word for you at Marvel. They love me over there.”

“Maybe I’ll try play Gwen Stacy, if they ever reprise her in the universe.” You joked.

“I definitely wouldn’t be opposed to that.” The discussion continued all the way back to the hotel. You weren’t sure if it was the alcohol, or if Tom was naturally like this, but he would not stop flirting with you. You weren’t helping by doing it back. You even pulled out all the old tricks, like touching his arm, and twirling your hair on your finger. At one point you got extremely close to him to ‘fix his hair’ for him, to which he purposely messed it up so you could fix it for him again.

The driver in the front was probably thankful that the drive had come to an end, considering how much you and Tom were talking.

You were reminded of how late it was when you stepped out of the car. The night sky was entirely black, however the Los Angeles streets were still lit brightly by street lamps and the multiple buildings. You walked up to the small amount of stairs leading to the entrance of the building. Tom quickly grabbed your arm as you were about to try to walk up them. Your thin heels and and the alcohol in your system definitely weren’t going to be a fair match for these stairs.

“Thank you.” You laughed. You leaned some of your body weight on Tom as the two of you strolled up the stairs and into the building. Once again, your arm stayed linked within his, even though it didn’t have to. It just felt comfortable for the both of you.

“What floor are you on?” He asked.

“6.”

“I’m on 9.” He replied, as the two of you made it to the elevators. He reached out to press the up button, still not letting go of you.

“Can you walk me to my room?” You asked, with a joking pout.

“Of course I can.” The elevator chimed and you both rode up to level 6 together. As you walked down the carpeted hallway, you laughed together about something silly you’d read in the script. The two of you were obviously walking slower than usual, dragging out the time you had to spend together.

Finally, you arm slipped out of his embrace to rummage around your small handbag for the key card.

Once finding it, you slipped it into the door, and pulled it back out with a beep. The alcohol in your system meant you had to apply a little more force to open the heavy hotel door. You held it open with your body as your turned to face Tom.

“Well, this is me.” You smiled lightly, staring into Toms dark brown eyes. “Thank you for walking me up.”

“No problem.” He returned the grin. His gaze fell to your mouth for just a moment, ogling the light reflecting off your glossy lips. He stood close enough to you that you could smell that cologne he was wearing again, you still couldn’t put your finger on exactly what the smell was, other than wealthy. Each of your breaths were deep, a thick tension radiating between your bodies. You twirled with one of the silver rings on your fingers, gulping slightly as his eyesight returned to yours. The flutters in your chest turned to heavy beats, so loud you were sure Tom could hear them too. Your gut was telling you to grab him and stick your tongue down his throat until the two of you would end up messily entangled in each other on your hotel bed, but your head was telling you that really wouldn’t be a good idea.

“I-” you stammered, “I should really go. I have a big day tomorrow,” that’s a lie, “and I should really get a good night’s sleep.”

“Yea, of course. I probably should too.” Tom almost sounded defeated.

“Cool. I’ll see you like some time next week.” You pursed your lips together, not wanting to make eye contact with him.

“Yea. I’ll see you next week.” And with that, you fell into your hotel room and shut the door behind you. Your back immediately hit the wall and you slumped down into a pile on the floor. A giant sigh fell from you lips, feeling like all the air in your lungs was drained from you.Shit.

And there goes the explosion. “I need to pull over. I’m about to have a stroke.”

The next two weeks truly flew by. You were partly happy, because you couldn’t wait to fly out to California and meet everyone, but it did also heighten your nerves. You did as much research as you could about Britain in the 70’s, even taking time to go see your grandparents who were conveniently alive at the time. But, by their description of the decade you could tell they must’ve been on some crazy drug back then, I guess that’s a pretty big tell of what the 70’s were like anyway.

“I promise you’re gonna do such an amazing job, I’m always just a phone call or text away if you need me, (Y/N/N).” Evie sung, pulling you into the tightest embrace.

“I know, Eve. I’m gonna miss you so much.” You pouted. To make life a little easier for yourself, you’d decided to fly out to California and stay there until production started, which was set to be in about a month. That way you didn’t have to fly there, then home, then there again, considering it was a twelve hour flight, and God, you hated flying.

“You are going to be incredible, my darling girl.” Your mum stated, giving you a hug and a kiss on the cheek. She knew she wouldn’t be able to see you for a while so she’d come over to send you off.

“Thanks mum. I love you heaps and I’ll call you when I get there.” You were incredibly close with your mum. She had always been such a huge support system for you and your career, you always credited any success you had to her.

And with that, you were in the car being driven to the airport.

~

The twelve hour flight had taken your physical and mental battery down to about 0. Even up in First Class all you did was read your script over and over, and panic. As well as getting some time to watch The Departed, one of Scorsese’s incredibly well done films. Unfortunately, instead of enjoying it, you essentially studied it. Fortunately, you got to use your ‘Taxi Driver’ notebook. Is this slightly obsessive? You studied how DiCaprio and Nicholson delivered their lines, and how often the sets changed, and all the camera angles. God, you’re purposely trying to freak yourself out now.

Touching down in California was nice. The first thing you really noticed was the heat. It was July, so it was the middle of summer, and in California it got hot. Of course, you weren’t complaining, this meant nice air conditioning on set, as well as good weather to work with in production. Yea, that would be the only thing I think about.

An older looking gentleman stood at the arrival gate with a sign that read (Y/L/N) in bulk letters. You quickly went over to greet him. Lazily, you strolled out to the large SUV, trying to get as much time on your feet as possible after the long flight. You’d seen photos, and heard horror stories of actors being mobbed at airports, with fans even waiting at the arrival gates all day to catch a glimpse of their favourite celebrity. That never happened to you, but you tried to be much more thankful than jealous. Large crowds weren’t really your forte.

“How was your flight, Miss (Y/L/N)?” Your driver politely asked, turning on the engine of the car.

“It wasn’t too bad. It just felt super long,” you chuckled, sluggishly.

“Well, at least you’re back on solid ground now.” He smiled through the rear-vision mirror.

“Yea, very happy to be. Out of curiosity, are you picking up any other members of the cast?” You peered up, knowing this man likely worked for the studio.

“Indeed, I am. I picked up Jude Law yesterday morning, and Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz last night.” He responded,

“Huh, and what’re they like?”

“Well, Mr Law was very friendly, we ended up chatting most of the way to the hotel. And Mr Craig and Mrs Weisz seemed lovely, but I didn’t talk with them very much. They were a little more closed off.” He continued, you simply nodding to his words, “And I believe I’m picking up a Mr Holland much later tonight.”

“Oh, right. Busy day for you then.”

“Well, it’s just the usual.” And with that, you stopped talking. Your mind wandered off the small talk. God almighty, it’s gonna be a fucking long night tonight. You thought, simply just processing all the things you knew you had to organise before tomorrow. The ride to the hotel didn’t seem like a very long one, or maybe it was? Maybe you’d zoned out to an entire different reality and didn’t notice time passing, either way you made it to the Four Seasons and checked in with no trouble at all.

It was pretty much exactly what you’d expect from the Four Seasons. A small, spacious living area, with a large, grey L-shaped couch, and a big-screen TV. A small kitchen to the left, that you’re sure wouldn’t be able to make more than a bowl of pasta. A bedroom off in a separate room, with a bed that was far too big for one person. And an Asylum-white bathroom with a bathtub that was going to make your stay here muchbetter.Looks like this is home for the next month. Being apart of the Hollywood scene, you got kind of used to hotel rooms becoming a second home. The amount of time you spent essentially having to tour around California for filming, staying in different hotels with similar-looking hotel rooms just became second nature.

First point of action; now that you’d touched down and gotten comfortable, was to call your mother. She’d slowly figured out how to worry less about you, now that you were older and had figured your life out a bit more, but she was still always going to be a mother.

The phone only rang twice before she picked up. “Hey, mum.” You greeted,

“Hi, love! I’m glad you’re safe and well, how was your flight?”

“Long. But the hotel’s really nice.” You responded, letting your body fall back onto the king-sized bed.

“Did you watch any movies?”

“Yea, I watched The Departed.”

“Oh, that’s a bit of a grim film, love.” Your mum stated, being as motherly as ever.

You chuckled a bit, “wait until you see the film I’m about to be in.”

“Did you get any sleep on the plane? And how was the food?”

“Yea, the food was really nice, it was like a salmon and couscous thing. And no, I didn’t really get any sleep, but I didn’t really try too, I kinda had a lot of other things to do.” You spoke.

“Well, you need to make sure you get some sleep tonight. And you let me know if you need anything at all!” Your mother conveyed

“Thanks, mum. And I promise everything is going fine, I’m fine. And I’ll let you know how the cast meet up and rehearsals go.” You returned. And with her best wishes, your mother hung up. That left you lying there, your body slightly sunken into the soft mattress of the Four Seasons bed. Almost every celebrity you’d met had told you to not search your own name on the internet. They always told you you’d find some very unfavourable things, but if you didn’t go looking for it you wouldn’t find it. So with that excellent mentality, you searched your name.

(Y/N) (Y/L/N). It took only seconds to type and click enter. The first article talked about the upcoming film. I guess the news already broke. It was probably leaked purposely for publicity, you didn’t care either way.

Upcoming Scorsese Film to have Star-Filled Line Up, Signing Hopkins, Hardy, Bale, and (Y/L/N).Being called a star was quite nice. It always shocked you just a little bit, knowing that people knew your name. Knowing that you’d actually becomenews. This is what you’d wanted for a long time though, to be a movie-star. You read further into the article.

‘Scorsese’s latest film to centre around 1970’s British Mob family, the Bakers. No news on the initial release date, however official members of the cast include Tom Hardy, Anthony Hopkins, Christian Bale, and (Y/N) (Y/L/N).’ The article showed photos of the four of you, including a photo of Scorsese. At least they picked a nice picture.

‘If this mobster film is anything like we’ve seen in the past from Scorsese, we can expect a stunning and vivid look at the ugliness and volatile nature of true Gangster films. Potentially even a few Academy Awards if Scorsese continues his war-path of masterly crafted cinema.’ You even chuckled at that last line, the Academy Awards. You’d attended the Emmys last year and that was the highlight of your life. If you were at the Oscars you’d probably spontaneously combust. You flicked your phone off and threw it to the other side of the bed, lying patiently in the quickly setting Californian sun. Am I supposed to feel this overwhelmed? You simply sat with your thoughts for a few moments, knowing that nothing was going to be the same after this film. Martin Scorsese essentially started Robert De Niro’s career in Taxi Driver, same with Jodie Foster. Not to mention Al Pacino’s career starting in a 70’s gangster film too. Each of these actors now being multi-award winning, millionaires. I don’t think I could function being that famous.

Once you’d finished basking in the glory and horror of it all, you sorted out your clothes from all of your luggage, and headed to bed. It was probably still too early to be in bed, but you’d had no sleep on the flight and just wanted to rest, especially for the chaos of tomorrow.

~

That all-too-familiar noise of your phone alarm ripped you back into consciousness. Surprisingly, you’d slept like the dead last night. You thought the panic and nerves would’ve kept you up, or disrupted your sleep, but thankfully it was actually very peaceful. Wonder how long that’s gonna last. Everything you did during the morning was mechanical. Having a shower, getting dressed, doing your hair and make-up. It was all just simply going through the motions while your mind ticked away. You tried to remember every part of the script, while also going over today’s encounters. Am I supposed to act like a fan of these actors? Or do I act super cool? Like I don’t care?

Your gaze rested upon your figure in the mirror. Wearing a casual pair of jeans, a regular t-shirt, with your favourite Nikes. Along with bits and pieces of jewellery that fitted. Do I look too plain? Like one of the million assistants on set? Was everyone else going to be dressed up? What sort of cast meet up is this? It was 9:00 am, so regardless of your racing thoughts, you didn’t have any time to change. You grabbed your hand-bag, script, and note-book and went downstairs to get into the car the studio had sent, and with that you were on the long drive to set. Neither you or the driver talked to each other, you partly blamed yourself for not initiating conversation. Your mum would’ve been upset with you. ‘No matter how famous you get, my darling, you’re not allowed to look down on others. You can never think of yourself as better than others. You’ll always be a regular person, who makes mistakes, and does great things. Always, always be kind.’ She’d always lecture you. God, you’d kill to have your family here with you.

The SUV pulled up to the lot, getting access to the private area where the meet-up was happening. You made sure to thank the driver before you met up with a shorter, plumper lady, who obviously seemed like she was expecting you by her greeting.

“Welcome to the studio, (Y/N). My name’s Angela, I’m the production manager for Silent Britain.” She spoke, the Californian accent very prominent in her voice.

“Nice to meet you.” You responded,

“It’s nice to meet you too, if you could just follow me, I’ll take you to the room where everyone’s meeting.” She said with a smile.

“Sounds good.” Angela walked you to the huge garage-type room. Well, it wasn’t actually a room, it was just an empty stage on the lot. The 12 ft tall garage-like door was open to let natural light illuminate it. It was full of people, most of whom you’d never seen in your life. Everyone from the special effects men, to the boom mic operators, to the assistant director were packed in. Luckily it was a huge area. Angela told you to follow her further, taking you to a separated room down the other end of the stage. This was the room full of actors. God, we’re pretentious. Needing a whole other room to ourselves. Not only did it have the main actors, it had quite a few background actors. Which, admittedly, you were slightly thankful for. If it was just the main actors you’d be the least famous person in the room, and that’s never the best feeling.

Angela let you know that the meeting would be happening very soon. By meeting, she essentially meant the presentation about the film, and how production was going to work and such. And with that flow of information, she left. Leaving you to fend for yourself in a room full of actors.

Who the fuck am I supposed to talk too? Why does everyone seem to know someone already? “Hiya!” A loud, high pitched noise rang behind you. You turned on your heel to see a slightly shorter girl with long, wavy brunette hair.

“Hi?” You returned, not sure if she was mistaking you for someone she knew.

“I’m Allison.” She introduced, extending her hand out.

“Oh, right. I’m (Y/N).” You smiled back, shaking her hand.

“Yea, I’ve actually seen you in quite a few films before. It’s really nice to meet you.”

“Wow, I’m really not used to actually being recognised.” You somewhat laughed, feeling some of the tension leave your shoulders.

“You’re playing the lead role in this film though, aren’t you?” She queried.

“Yea, Elizabeth Baker. I’m still not entirely sure how I landed that. Do you mind if I ask who you’re playing?” You responded.

“Of course! I’m playing Donna, which is one of Lizzie’s school friends.” She explained. It was only a very minor role, with maybe one line of dialogue. But she seemed happy enough to be here.

“Oh, well, thanks for introducing yourself. Now I’ll finally know someone on set.” You joked.

“Do you not know the other actors already?”

“Honestly, no. I haven’t really had the chance to meet anyone yet.”

“You should go over and introduce yourself. You’re the lead role! And maybe you could introduce me to some of them.” She laughed, trying to slightly play off the words she just said. Ah, lovely. Someone trying to use me to their advantage.

“Hm.” You simply smiled. “I think I’ll just grab a coffee first, then maybe I’ll socialise.” You added, taking almost no time to venture away from her.

You moved towards the small tables set up with coffee, tea, water and small snacks. You couldn’t help but notice the divide in the room. There was the big-time actors to one side of the room, and the lesser-known, mainly extras to the other side. You also couldn’t help but notice that you stood on the extras side of the room. In the moment you didn’t particularly care. You spent time fiddling away with the sugar packets, not even making a coffee as you thought about your next move. You needed to go introduce yourself, to at least one person you were going to be acting beside. But who were you supposed to choose? I bet Daniel Craig wasn’t this nervous introducing himself. Fuck, I wouldn’t be if I was James Bond.

Without thinking past James Bond, you walked over to the ‘A-list’ actor area. Fuck it, I’m the greatest. It’s an absolute pleasure to meet me. You repeated, entirely trying to sike yourself up. Daniel Craig, Michael Fassbender, Christian Bale, and Rachel Weisz stood in a small group, chatting amongst themselves. Oh, this is definitely the most threatening group. You thought, diving straight in.

“Hi there,” You interrupted, “I just wanted to introduce myself, I’m (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” You spoke, confidently. Good thing I’m such a good actor.

“Nice to meet you,” Michael responded, his Irish accent thick as he spoke. Daniel, Rachel, and Christian all introduced themselves after, breaking into a conversation about Martin Scorsese.

“I actually haven’t had the chance to meet him. Not properly at least.” You stated, referring back to your audition were you simply spoke in front of him, without him engaging in much conversation.

“He’s great. He’s incredibly intelligent at what he does, but he is really fast paced. He seems to constantly be thinking about the next thing to do.” Daniel began speaking, “But try not to be nervous, he’s pretty good at sensing nerves.” He smirked. Awesome.

“As if the cast wasn’t intimidating enough.” You joked, earning a chuckle from the group. The five of you continued to discuss past acting experiences, and working together on other films and such, with yourself not having much to bring to the conversation. Simply being happy enough to stand with these four god-like actors.

Angela seemingly appeared out of nowhere in front of the crowd of actors, earning a hush amongst the group. She began by thanking everyone for being here, and introducing herself once again as the production manager. She explained the outline of what was going to happen, and when production was due to start, most information of which you’d received in emails earlier. All and all, it was a very quick meeting. I guess it was more about getting to meet everyone. Angela finished her statement and the crowd sparked conversation again, most of the background actors dispersing off. As you were about to say your goodbyes, a smaller, younger gentleman walked up to where you and your newly formed actor friends stood. He handed each of you a small envelope.

“These are from Martin, inviting you to dinner with him tonight. All the information is on the letters. Please RSVP as soon as possible.” He stated, scuttling off to the next group.

“The theatrics,” Christain stated, waving the envelope, “that’s very Scorsese.” He finished.

“Who was that kid?” You asked Michael,

“Would’ve been Martins PA, probably.” He replied, opening his letter. You shrugged and opened yours. The beautiful calligraphy hit you first, each letter individually addressed to each actor. By the looks of it, the main cast of about 12 of you were invited, along with the higher up crew members. It was being held at his property in Hollywood. Well, this should be fun.

“I guess we’ll see you all there.” Daniel stated, earning a cheer of goodbyes from the rest of you as him and Rachel walked off.

“I better head off too,” You smiled, leaving Michael and Christain behind you as you strolled towards the door, continuing to read over your letter. The handwritten note occupied so much of your thought, that you’d forgotten to look where you were walking. All of a sudden, you were stumbling straight into someone’s torso. The first sense to hit you was the scent, the only way you could think to describe it was the smell of the wealthy. It was an incredible cologne that you could only imagine A-listers would wear.

“Sorry, love.” His voice sung, the thick British accent very apparent. His larger hands came up to grab your shoulders, steadying your body. His grip was firm against you arms. You could feel the heat of his hands through the thin material of your shirt. You couldn’t help but notice the veins slightly bulging from his tanned forearms. You face moved up so your gaze aligned with his. Brunette curls, light brown eyes, glowing smile, a jawline that looked like it was carved from stone.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry. I wasn’t looking where I was walking.” You awkwardly laughed as Toms taller frame stood right in front of you. Do not freak out.

“Don’t worry about it.” He responded, “I was meaning to come meet you earlier, but I got a little caught up. I’m Tom, by the way.” He added, his grin not leaving his face. Yea, I fucking know.

“It’s nice to meet you, I’m (Y/N).” You replied, politely.

“Yea, I’m actually a bit of a fan. I’ve seen some of your work in the past, I’m really glad you got this role.” He added.

“Oh, wow. I thought we we’re going to play it cool, but I’m a huge fan of yours too. I love all the Marvel stuff.” You broke out of your ‘big-time actor’ persona. He chuckled at your comment.

“I see you got an invite, too.” He pointed down at your letter, holding his in his hand too.

“Oh yea. Have you ever done this sort of thing before? Like this whole dinner with the cast thing?”

“Yea, a few times actually. Robert Downey Jr loved doing this stuff for the Marvel cast.” He returned, “with the directors, and the crew and everyone.”

“Right, well I’ve never done all this before. It’s pretty crazy.”

“Yea, I know. The cast of this movie is fucking insane. I’ve never seen so many stars in one room, honestly.” Tom acknowledged. “You seem like you’re holding it all together pretty well.”

“No, I’m just a really good actor, internally I’m absolutely freaking out.” You stated in a joking manner, earning a laugh from Tom. I mean, it’s true.

“That’s great practice for the film them.” He replied, his eyes looking deeper into yours. You could almost feel your knees turning to jelly.

“I’m so sorry to leave you stranded like this, but I really need to get back to my hotel and sort my shit out for this dinner tonight.” You spoke, truthfully.

“Oh, yea. I should probably go do the same. I guess I’ll see you there.”

“Yes, you will. It was really nice to meet you, Tom.” You expressed, your hand moving to rest against his bicep as you cocked your head with a smile. He returned the good-bye and you waltzed out of the stage. Your heart was pumping in your throat and you had to bite down on your lip to suppress your awfully huge grin. Maybe this wasn’t going to be so bad.

A/N:Sorry, it’s been a hot minute since I’ve posted! Anyway, this is basically going to be a whole series. I have no idea how many parts it’ll be, and I’ll be updating at least every two weeks (but I’ll aim to update it weekly!) I thought it was kind of a fun idea so essentially in the film Tom plays a bad-boy mob members son, while the reader plays the opposing mob members daughter. Please enjoy! (This chapter is a bit of a slow-burn, but it’s essentially just setting up the plot and everything!)

Prologue

The uncomfortably loud alarm buzzed through your tired mind. A glance to your left told you it was 7:00 am. Time to get up. One arm reached out to turn your alarm off, while the other went to wipe your eyes as they opened sluggishly, adjusting to the illumination in your bedroom that crept through the blinds. Wasting no time, you moved your body from your large bed and stumbled your way to the kitchen. The house was quiet, no music playing, no TV’s on, signalling to you that your roommate/best friend, Evie, hadn’t woken up yet.

The thick script left on the dining table caught your attention. It was for an upcoming, untitled Nolan film. You’d been asked to read the script to audition, however you only made it about half-way through it last night. Looks like thats on today’s agenda.

Acting was your absolute passion. You’d been lucky enough to start your acting career about 4 years ago, acting in 2-3 bigger films, every-so-often working alongside a well known celebrity. Working alongside Robert Pattinson in dramatic indie film was pretty cool, considering you’d grown up around all the Twilight hype. Playing Brad Pitt’s daughter in another film was also a big moment in your career. Not to mention your recent role in the Emmy award winning show Big Little Lies really helping define who you were as an actress. Ever since then you’d been asked to audition for quite a few more roles. Shockingly, it actually took a bit of a turn on you. People recognised you more often, which meant it was harder to leave the house. It also meant you started comparing yourself to other actors your age, to which you never thought you’d live up too. Being rich and famous really wasn’t all it was cut out to be.

While mindlessly making breakfast, your phone began buzzing on the hard, marble bench top. It was your agent, Melissa.

“Hey, Mel.” You quickly answered,

“Morning, (Y/N), how’re you doing?” Her thick American accent sung through the phone. Melissa was from California. You weren’t, you were born and bred in England, and you’d continued living just outside of London throughout your career. It was just much easier having an agent closer to the action of Hollywood.

“Good, I’m a little tired, it’s like seven AM over here.” You responded,

“Well it’s 11 at night over here, but I’ve just received some fantastic news and I couldn’t wait to tell you.”

“You’ve got my attention.” You chuckled slightly, leaning down to rest on the kitchen bench, ready to intently listen to whatever Melissa had to say.

“You remember that Scorsese film you auditioned for a while back, Silent Britain?”

Oh my god. “Yea, of course I remember, what about it?” Your palms became clammy and your voice shook slightly.

“You’ve been offered the role! You’re playing Elizabeth Baker!”

Your head immediately fell to your hands. You were just unbelievably over-joyed, you didn’t even know what to say. This would undoubtedly be your biggest role to date. “Mel, oh my god, this is such huge news, I really didn’t think I’d get it. This is so, so, so incredible.” You stood and began pacing the kitchen.

“It gets even better, guess who else is already signed on?”

“Who?”

“Tom Hardy is playing your father, Anthony Hopkins is playing your grandfather,” Your jaw had already hit the floor at this point, “Chrisitan Bale is also signed on, and Jude Law’s set to play one of the detectives.”

“Melissa, holy fuck.” You paused, “holy fuck. This- that’s so many actors, incredible actors-”

“And there’s plenty more to be signed on. So I’m assuming you’d like the role?”

“Of course I’d like the role!”

“I’m sending through all the paper-work and details for you to flick through, I’ll also mail over a script ASAP so you can go through the whole thing. You’ll have to fly out here in about 2 weeks for the initial meet up with Martin and the cast, so I’ll book that in now, and we can work out the rest of the details when you’re here, how’s that sound?” Melissa explained quickly,

“Yea, yea that sounds perfect, when’s filming set to start?”

“It says mid-June, which is in two months, if all the actors have been accounted for by that time.”

“Okay, I’ll get all my shit sorted out and I’ll see you in two weeks! Thanks so much Mel.”

And with that, the two of you hung up. Leaving you alone with your thoughts. A fucking Gangster Scorsese film. It doesn’t get better than that. That’s peak-of-the-career shit right there. Everything you did the rest of that day was purely in order to be organised for your flight. You hadn’t been this excited since you landed the role of Reece Witherspoon’s daughter in Big Little Lies. After screaming in pure bliss with Evie about the news, you went to your nearest shopping centre to get any possible supplies you may need. Shampoo, conditioner, dry shampoo, toothpaste, a power board, a charging cable, new comfortable clothes, not that you really needed anymore, new nicer clothes, not that you fucking needed anymore, the list went on. Evie even came with you, as if your impulse control wasn’t already low, Evie made it plumet, suggesting you needed every second thing she laid her eyes on. You even bought a notepad with the Taxi Driver movie poster on the cover because Scorsese directed that too, and it’ll be funny incase I ever need to take notes.

You shut the boot of your car, hopping into the driver’s seat next to where Evie sat comfortably in the passenger’s seat.

“So who else is in the film? Besides Venom, Hannibal Lecter, Batman, and John Watson.” Evie smirked at her own joke,

“Ha ha. Very funny.” You stated, pulling out of the car park. “That’s all I know about at the moment, here” you passed her your phone, “check my emails, I might’ve gotten an update.” Evie took the phone from your hands and held it to your face to unlock it.

“Melissa Bradd sent another email, with attached file, more details…” Evie muttered, mainly to herself as she opened the document. “Hmm, Anthony Hopkins, Tom Hardy, you-” Evie gasped heavily.

“What, what is it?” You quickly interjected.

“I’m going to shit my pants, I’m gonna actually die right here, right now-”

“Evie, what the fuck!? What is it?!” You almost wanted to pull over the car.

“Timothee Chalamet is playing Joseph Baker, your brother!” She practically shrieked. Christ. Obviously you adored Timothee’s work, he was incredible and so devoted, but Evie absolutely adored him, for a long time now.

“Oh my god,” you uttered, just above a whisper. Reacting to not only Evies reaction, but also that another big name was going to be on screen beside you. “Anyone else?”

“It doesn’t even fucking matter who else is in it!” Evie sung, flailing her arms in the air.

“Evie, who else is in it!” You repeated, feeling a little on edge. Her gaze returned back to the phone screen, her excitement still clearly coursing through her veins.

“So far, Finn Wolfhard is set to play your younger brother, and Michael Fassbender and Christian bale are signed on as your uncles,” She read.

It was at this moment, your hands really started shaking. You tried gripping the wheel as tightly as you could, but it honestly felt like most of the blood in your body was vanishing, you didn’t seem to have control over much of anything, especially not your breathing. Evie looked over at you.

“Hey, (Y/N/N), you okay? You’re kind of looking a bit pale.” She spoke quietly,

“That’s a lot of big actors, Evie.” You responded, your mouth entirely dry.

“Yea, but you’re a big actor too, you know. You’ve been in some big films!” She lightly tried to reassure you.

“Eve, I’ve been a background character in like 3 big films.” You peered over to her, quickly returning your glare back to the road.

“You’re in Big Little Lies, that’s a big show.”

“I’m a daughter, I’m not a main character at all. This movie, I’m a fucking huge character in this movie. This movie practically fucking revolves around me, Tom Hardy, and Hopkins.” Your voice elevated as you spoke.

“Let’s just get home, and then we can talk it all through.” Evie said calmly, clearly not paying much mind to what you’d just said. You nodded in response. And, as if on cue, your phone chimed.

“What was it?” As you asked, Evie began scrolling through your phone.

“Another email from Melissa.”

“And?…”

“A couple more actors signed on.”

“And?…” Your head was far too close to exploding.

“Well, Rachel Weisz is playing your mum, and Daniel Craig is another uncle,” Evie was speaking softly, “Idris Elba is a detective, and- uhm- Tom Holland is your love interest…”

And there goes the explosion. “I need to pull over. I’m about to have a stroke.”

Pairing: Tom Holland x Actress!Reader

Summary: You play the role of supportive girlfriend at the Far From Home premiere with your long time boyfriend, Tom.

A/N: This wasn’t requested, but after watching the stream of the Far From Home premiere I decided to write a little about it!

Word Count: 2,657

Warning:Some swearing, that’s it! bit of fluff too

You’d touched down in Los Angeles around 2 hours ago. Those 2 hours were mainly filled with hair dressers, make-up artists, and designers, along with small happy moments with your boyfriend. You hadn’t seen him in almost 3 weeks, but your flight was delayed from London so you arrived late. Meaning you had to start getting ready for the premiere the minute you made it to the hotel.

You sat in a large hotel room, Zendaya was sitting to your right, getting her make-up finished. Tom was slightly behind you, Law making him try on a variety of glasses. While Jacob was on the other side of the room, sitting on his phone with Harry next to him. The room was filled with laughter and talking from the cast, all of them extremely hyped up for tonights big moment.

Your make-up artist turned away for a few moments to rummage through her supplies. Tom waltzed over to you and stood next to you.

“What’d you think?” He asked, eyebrows raised while doing a cute little pose in his outfit.

“Maroon is definitely your colour, Tommy.” You smiled, looking up at him. His soft brown eyes looked down at you through the thin lenses of the glasses.

“I know.” He joked, he began to lower himself down, about to give you a peck before the make-up artist swatted him away.

“Don’t you dare, Tom. The lipstick isn’t dry yet.” She stated, earning a loud laugh from you and Zendaya, along with a big pout from Tom.

A large group of you all met down in the lobby of the hotel. There wasn’t really any fans lingering around considering everyone was at the premiere. The group split up and all jumped in different black Audi SUV’s to make your way to the premiere. The particular car you jumped in with Nikki and Tom was decked out with webs painted all over the car, along with a large image of Spider-Man, which you all laughed over.

Tom was clearly nervous, his leg bounced and bounced, shaking against yours. You calmly put your hand on his thigh. “It’s okay. You’ve done this before and you can do it again. You’re a pro babe.” You spoke softly. He turned to face you and smiled.

“I’m just so nervous, and excited. It’s just a lot to process y’know. I feel like I’ve been waiting for months and the moments here. Right now.” He stammered.

“And like (Y/N) said, you’re going to nail it.” Nikki stated. The three of you continuing to chat to aid in easing Toms nerves.

The car finally pulled up to the premiere. The road was barricaded off, with seemingly thousands of fans shoved against the metal fences. You looked on in awe. Being an actress, you’d been to many premieres, you even had the joy of going to the Avengers Endgame premiere, but this was on a new level. It was absolutely huge.

The car pulled to a stop and the three of you got out. A roar of screaming and shouting waved over you. Everyone was very excited to see Tom. You quietly moved towards Harry, Harrison, and Sam, who had arrived only moments earlier. Tom took a moment to wave at all the fans, only causing the screaming to escalate.

“How fucking crazy is this?” Sam stated, almost having to yell even though he stood right next to you.

“Homecoming was nowhere near this big.” Harrison replied.

“It’s because they heard I was coming, people love me.” Harry laughed, earning a punch from his twin and a chuckled from yourself and Harrison. You turned around to see Tom walking towards the fans. You genuinely thought some of the fans might pass out by the looks on their faces.

“I’m so proud of him.” Nikki spoke, not really to anyone in particular. She was definitely having a mum moment. Tom was surrounded by a team of security guards, more than usual. It always made you slightly nervous. You looked away, turning towards the set up of the premiere. You and Harrison chatted about the gigantic Spider-Man in the middle of the walkway, and about how many fans there were. You were interrupted as Tom finally made his way back to you.

His hand grabbed you waist, yourself and his family in a little huddle with security guards circling you.

“This is fucking insane!” Tom shouted, his grip on your hip tightening.

“We have to move in.” A security guard told the cluster of you. You very quickly grabbed Toms face, giving him a smooth kiss that he happily reciprocated.

“Go to the front.” You smiled. He looked down at you, completely in awe. For that very split second, you felt like the screaming stopped. All the buzz happening around you stopped and the two of you gazed at each other. The bright sun accentuating his sharp features. This was his night, and you were so unbelievably proud of him.

“I love you.” He softly grinned.

“I love you too, Tommy.”

He moved to the front of the pack and you snuck in between Sam and Harrison. It was a good thing you were used to premieres, otherwise this would’ve definitely been too much for you to handle.

You all made your way through the ‘red carpet’. It was completely bustling with people that you’d never seen before. Everyones phones out taking a thousand different photos. Tom had made his way over to the first interview of the night. A roar of Toms name began as he was speaking, and you couldn’t see his face in the moment, but you could imagine the giant grin he would’ve been wearing. You and Tom usually lived in your own little bubble together. But it was nights like these that truly made you understand the effect he had on people, and just how famous he’d really become over the years.

The crew of you moved down the red carpet following along Tom in the background. He was immediately in the spotlight, photos being taken from every angle. Tuwaine quickly approached you giving you a kiss on the cheek and a sweet greeting. You’d been with Tom for so long now that you quickly became friends with his friends.

“How crazy is this?!” Tuwaine expressed, eyes wide.

“I know bro! It’s fucking mental.” Harry replied,

“Stop swearing so much, Harry.” Nikki quickly interjected, earning a laugh from Sam and yourself.

“You’re spending too much time with Tom, he’s a bad influence.” You joked.

The five of you moved further down the carpet, the swarming crowd attempting to move with you. It was definitely strange not being in the spotlight tonight. It wasn’t bad, but it was just so different.

You all finally made your way under the giant blow-up Spider-Man.

“Dude, the dick on this must be huge.” Harry commented, snark in his voice.

“It’s clearly actual size.” You retorted, trying to hold your composure.

“You’re vulgar!” Sam quickly added. Causing the three of you to laugh out. You’d always got on with the twins so well, and you were endlessly glad that they were here tonight.

Tom suddenly arrived in front of you. “Come.” He said quickly, his hand grabbing yours and dragging you out from your group, without time to reply.

Without a moments notice, you were in the spotlight. Tom’s hand has resumed its usual position around your waist. A smile immediately hit your lips. You would’ve cursed Tom out if you weren’t so used to this.

“How crazy is this?” He spoke, his head still facing the cameras with his usual smouldering look.

“You’re clearly a very popular man, Holland.” You replied. Paparazzi were yelling from every possible angle.

The two of you furthered your way down the carpet. Eventually he branched off, and you returned to the family. He began doing interview after interview. The family and yourself were pushed further towards the barricades and you watched as people took photos of all of you, the twins and Harrison all taking their moments to smile and pose.

After a moment, you noticed an interviewer you recognised. She was from ET and she’d interviewed you a few times for movies before. You quickly swooped over to greet her.

“(Y/N)! It’s so good to see you.” She exclaimed,

“You too, Keltie, how are you?”

“I’m fantastic, do you mind getting an interview with us!”

“You know I’m not in the movie, right?” You joked in response.

“Yea of course! But we love you at Entertainment Tonight and we always love speaking with you!” She grinned from ear to ear.

“Alright, sure, just because I love ET.” You responded.

She made a few motions to get the cameras rolling and everything set up.

“Alright! We’re here with (Y/N) (Y/L/N) at the Spider-Man Far From Home premiere!” She spoke enthusiastically, turning to face you, “obviously you’re here playing the role of supportive girlfriend for tonight, how is it being at a premiere for a movie you’re actually not featuring in for once?” She asked, pointing the camera towards you.

“Well, I’m loving being the supportive girlfriend, it’s definitely a very easy role to play when you’re supporting someone as fantastic as Tom Holland. And it’s kinda nice not having the pressure of the movie on my shoulders, y’know? I can really just relax and enjoy my evening.” You laughed.

“Are you excited to finally see the film?”

“Of course! I’ve always been a Marvel fan and I’m super excited to see where they’re taking the universe in this film, and I’m really excited to see how the movie turned out. I know Tom and the rest of the cast really put their all into the movie and I know it’s going to be absolutely amazing, so I’m super excited.”

“And we saw some Instagram posts last year of you in Venice with the crew, what was it like being on set with everyone?”

“Oh it was amazing! Venice is such an incredible place and I was super lucky to get a break from work to go hang out with everyone for a few days. I’ve known the cast since Homecoming so it’s really just like hanging out with a bunch of my best friends.”

“That’s awesome! And finally, we have to ask, with all the new Spider-Man suits in the film, which suit is your all time favourite!?”

“Some heavy hitting questions here!” You laugh, “I mean, I love the Iron-Spider suit because it just looks so awesome in the films, but honestly I’d really have to say I love the original, like, sweat suit thing that Peter Parker makes. I just think it’s so authentic, like obviously a 15 year-old isn’t going to make a super flash, intricate suit. Like it’s really just a jumper, some sweat pants, and some finger-less gloves, which I think is so hilarious!” You grin as the interviewer laughs along.

“I love that! Thank you so much for talking with us (Y/N)! We’ll let you go continue to smash the supportive girlfriend role!”

“Aw, thank you for having me!” You drift away from the interviewer, noticing Tom’s family had moved further down. You couldn’t even spot Tom. You slowly moved through the crowd, trying your best to stay away from cameras.

“(Y/N)! (Y/N) (Y/L/N)! (Y/N)!” People were yelling your name left and right. Another interviewer popped up in front of you, she was someone you’d met before, and she’d interviewed you on very short occasions at other premieres.

“(Y/N) (Y/L/N)! Do you mind if we steal you for a quick interview?” She asked, politely enough.

“I really didn’t think people would want to interview me, I’m honestly not in this movie at all!” You laughed back, not really wanting to do an interview.

“Of course we want to interview you! You’re the woman of the hour tonight!” She stated back, pitching very hard for an interview.

“Well, I would definitely have to say Zendaya is the woman of the hour, but sure, let’s do a quick interview.” You smiled softly, knowing that it would be a 3 minute interview, and she would stop pestering you if you did.

“(Y/N) (Y/L/N), it’s so good to see you, you look absolutely stunning tonight!” She complimented, the mic gripped tightly in her hand as the camera filmed the two of you.

“Thank you so much.”

“So, Spider-Man Far From Home, how excited are you?”

“Yea, super excited. I truly do know how hard the cast has worked for this, and I know how much effort and time goes into a Marvel movie, so I’m just really excited to see how the film turns out.” You smiled,

“Do you know much about the movie already?”

“I wish I could say I didn’t, but I do know probably most of it. I think Tom tried to hide it from me for a while, but he just wasn’t good at containing it and ended up telling me pretty much all of the plot. But it’s definitely better that he tells me instead of letting it all out in an interview or something.” You laugh,

“Of course! Oh and speaking of-” She was cut short by someone grabbing your hip, you turned slightly to see Tom behind you,

“She’s getting interviewed! She’s not even in the movie!” A loud British voice joked. He shuffled so he stood next to you, the smooth fabric of his suit against your arm, his palm lightly rubbing your other hip as he held you close. “Hey darling.” He whispered.

“Tom Holland has just joined us! How are you feeling for the premiere tonight!?” Her attention was immediately moved to him.

“I’m so excited! This is huge! I didn’t realise there would be so many people, no one told me how big this was gonna be!” He answer, you watching him with a soft smile.

“How is it having so many people here supporting you?”

“It’s incredible, I mean, pretty much my whole family is here and so many of my mates came tonight, and obviously my beautiful girlfriend is here with me,” he looked at you with loving eyes, “and it’s so nice to share this film with all of them because they’re all obviously my biggest support system, so it’s really nice.”

“And when are we finally going to see a movie with the two of you together?”

You both chuckled at the question, “who knows!” Tom quickly stated,

“At the moment I think we’re happy enough with the off-screen romance, but maybe one day.” You added, with a shrug.

“What’s it like having to see your boyfriend having a romance with someone else on-screen! Obviously with the MJ and Peter romance in this film, is there any jealousy?” As she spoke, you felt Tom gripping you tighter, you even saw his jaw clench out of the corner of your eye.

“Of course there’s jealousy! I’m so jealous that Peter gets to be with MJ! I mean have you seen Zendaya? Have you seenher!? She’s literally the most beautiful person ever! I’d love to get to have an on-screen romance with her!” You joked. You knew the interviewer would want some stupid ‘scoop’ about it all, but you were a seasoned professional at this point. Tom relaxed quickly.

The interviewer laughed along and you two quickly moved away, furthering yourself down the carpet.

“I really, really love you.” Tom whispered, his head right next to yours.

“I really, really love you too, and I’m so proud of you. All this-” you motioned towards the giant red carpet, and fans, and cameras, “you worked so hard for this, and you really deserve it, babe.” You smiled, he grinned back.

“Thank you, darling.”

The Oscars were that one night of the year when tons of celebrities gather in a big theatre to award the outstanding performances in that year in Hollywood. For (Y/N) (Y/L/N), it wouldn’t be the first time spending the whole day getting ready to pose on the red carpet for the whole world to see. Being a child actress dotted with a lot of talent, she has always been in the spotlight, meaning she would always attend every event in the Awards Season. This year it was special: she had been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series at the Emmys. And while the award night doesn’t arrive, she’s been jumping from ceremony to ceremony as a publicity stunt to make her name appear even more in the media. Even if she doesn’t win that award, it was still important to take this opportunity to promote herself. That’s why she had been putting a lot of effort to get among the best dressed at the Oscars list.

Tonight she was feeling herself. Her stylist dressed her in a bold transparent dress covered with crystals that made her feel like a silver version of the tiny man placed on the Oscars statuette. She was getting some final touches in the dressing room before heading back to the green room when someone entered the door: the last person she wanted to see right now.

“Finally found you.” Tom Holland leaned against the door frame while he was wearing a fancy Italian suit that only added to his Hollywood heartthrob image. “You haven’t been answering my calls.”

“I’ve never saved your contact on my phone.”

“You know we can’t avoid that conversation forever.” He said, this time firming his voice in order to convince her. “We need to talk about our rings.”

“There’s nothing to talk about, Tom.” (Y/N) glanced down at the ring placed on her right hand where the stone was burning in red from anger. For people outside the two of them, that would be only a clear stone placed on a beautiful silver ring, but for soulmates, the stone would burst into the colours of whatever emotion the person that was wearing the accessory felt.

“It’s been a full week, (Y/N). You’re gonna have to talk to me eventually.”

“No, I don’t have Tom.” She shouted at him.

“Of course we do. We’re soulmates, for fuck sake!” He stated, making her fall into silence. (Y/N) glanced at the ring on his right hand that showed a faint colour of green, which meant mixed emotions. The evidence was clear and there was nothing (Y/N) could do about it.

In the world, everyone starts to constantly wear rings right after they turn eight, when they are old enough to know they shouldn’t remove them from their hands. It’s not like it’s mandatory, but not wearing a ring all the time could easily make you look like a freak in society. When you and your soulmate touch hands for the first time, whatever ring you wearing would immediately turn into a mood ring where only your soulmate could see the colours.

(Y/N) grew up touching a lot of people’s hands due to her strong presence in Hollywood. She would always shake hands at events and acting involves a lot of touching most of the time. But it wasn’t until she was 25 years old that her ring finally burst into a shiny light, meaning that the soulmate connection had been made - and it happened with the worst person she could wish to have as a soulmate.

Tom Holland was new in the movie industry, but his role as Spider-Man set him on top of the world where everyone wanted to work with him in Hollywood. Even though the whole world was in love with him, Tom didn’t end up pleasing the industry’s princess (Y/N) (Y/L/N), known by everyone for starring in a big drama movie at a very early age, making her one of the youngest actresses to be nominated for an Oscar.

It only took a small modelling project together to make the whole world force them into the “besties” position, and some of the media took a step further into calling them “possible new Hollywood it-couple”, even though they haven’t been spotted together ever since that magazine cover. She didn’t like that all of her years working her ass off to be the best actress possible was overshadowed by an industry newbie white man. And what everyone thought was a beautiful friendship was actually a big lie behind the scenes.

“Look, I don’t wanna talk about it tonight.” (Y/N) said. “I am nervous enough to be presenting an award and I don’t want this talk to get in the way of my presentation.”

“I’m staying at the Chateau and they always host the after-party there. Maybe we could sneak out to talk?”

“I’m just making a quick stop by the party.” (Y/N) said. “And I’m going home right after.”

“You know we need to talk, (Y/N).” Tom pleaded. “I won’t say it will be a quick conversation because it won’t. But I think the sooner we do it, the better.”

“Not tonight. I’m sorry.” (Y/N) excused herself to go to the green room, where everyone who would step on stage tonight was waiting for their turn while sipping on their drinks and eating canapé. Tom popped in the room a few seconds later only to catch her by the bar. “Stop following me.”

“I’m not. I’m just presenting the award after yours.” He sighed. “And since you won’t talk to me, I’ll get myself a drink to wash all the tenseness away from my body.”

(Y/N) looked at the ring placed on his right hand, painted in black, meaning he was stressed and anxious. She felt bad for him, knowing he was going through a lot at that moment. But once again, her own ring was painted black - and it only got deeper the closer it got to her time to step on stage. Although she didn’t have to be worried at all considering she did great up there, getting her to be on top of the trending topics during a big night for Hollywood. Her PR team would be proud.

After she left the stage, (Y/N) went straight out of the green room to join a few friends in the crowd just to enjoy the rest of the ceremony for once, which meant she didn’t meet Tom after going on stage. Her strategy didn’t work very well since Tom appeared a few minutes later to present Best Original Song, taking a quick glance towards her, who was sitting at the front table. Luckily, no one noticed them exchanging glances all night

“Ready to go?” (Y/N)’s stylist asked once Best Picture was finally presented, meaning that the ceremony had come to an end. She simply nodded and said a few ‘see you at the afterparty” to a few people. Her conversation with Tom set her mood down, but she wouldn’t let him ruin the opportunity of getting the spotlight for her.

Her stylist prepared an extra dress that was more comfortable and just as beautiful as her Oscar dress. This time she showed up in a gorgeous midi dark pink dress that grabbed everyone’s attention as she walked by - including her soulmate’s, who was standing by the entrance just to see her arrive. (Y/N) could see from far away that his ring was shining in pink, which meant “love”. She tried to ignore it, but her ring was still black due to anxiety.

(Y/N) got to take a few pictures, did a few interviews before going into the event. As always, she had a casual small talk with most of the people around. Those parties were a great way to make connections and do your own network. That’s how she got a few of her Hollywood jobs through the years. But as the clock got closer to one in the morning, all she wanted was to sneak out of the party to go home.

“You look beautiful, by the way.” A voice she could recognize from anywhere commented, making her turn around to meet Tom with two glasses of whisky in hands. “I got for us both. Fancy one?”

“Actually, I won’t decline it.” She took the glass from his hand, taking a big gulp right after. “What a fucking night.”

“Pretty boring, isn’t it?” Tom shrugged. “As a kid, I thought the Oscars were magical. I’ve always wanted to attend. But it looks like it’s just a place where people from the film industry get to be pretentious.”

“It’s full of shit, right?” She asked with a frown. “I remember a stupid lady saying I wasn’t skinny enough to fit in the dress I was wearing to my first Oscars. I was only 9.”

“I guess the industry hasn’t been kind to you.”

“Not even once.” She sighed. “I’ve been working my ass off for years now and they reduced me to ‘Tom Holland’s allegedly new affair’. Awesome.”

“I despise how the media treats you,” Tom said. “And it’s bad that it got in the way of a potential friendship.”

“You don’t get to be nice. Not tonight.” (Y/N) shook her head and exited to the balcony, where she could have some fresh air to breathe. Tom followed her shortly after.

“I wanna go to my room.” He said. “And I think you should come with me.”

“I’m tired.”

“No, you’re not.” He said. “Look, my family is staying in their own room, so I have the place all to myself.”

“I have my own place, Tom.”

“Please.” Tom tried to hold her hand once again, but she took a step back. “I’m sorry.”

(Y/N) knew she couldn’t avoid that conversation forever, especially when she saw Tom’s ring changing from light green to blue, meaning was starting to feel sad. He watched her own ring turn green as her eyes softened in front of him. What was once black started to show hints of life right in front of him.

“Alright, but you’re sneaking food into your room. I’m starving.”

Tom led (Y/N) up to his room in just a few seconds, the loud music being left behind just to have a quiet place to talk. He was staying on the other side of the building, where the party seemed to be very far away. Since he was staying alone in a room, it wasn’t a big one. Still, it had enough luxury and space that any celebrity could need.

“You must be really uncomfortable in this dress,” Tom commented once the door closed. “You can borrow some of my clothes.”

“Not planning on staying long.” She said and Tom rolled his eyes.

“You’re staying the night, you idiot.” He said before tossing her one of his boxers and a shirt.

“God, you annoy me.” (Y/N) took a seat at his room’s dining table to try reaching for her heels, but the amount of fabrics was keeping her from getting to her feet. Tom finished removing his tie to kneel down and help her with the shoes. “Thank you.”

“Stop being stubborn,” Tom said as he took a seat next to her. “I don’t know why you are always like this with me. I didn’t do anything to you.”

“You know why we have this… between us. I used to be one of the youngest actresses to be nominated for an Oscar and now I’m reduced to Spider-Man’s possible new girlfriend. Guess what they are going to talk about us in the morning? About our performances on stage or a blind item about us sneaking to your room at the afterparty?”

“Yeah, I think you’re right.” He sighed. “But look, we know what we are. I don’t think we can ignore each other for much longer. Because I don’t know about you, but I can’t stop thinking about you ever since our hands touched.”

Tom was anxious. His ring turned into a dark shade of blue, almost turning black. (Y/N) wasn’t very far from that shade either. To say they were both nervous was an understatement, after all, it’s not every day that you meet your soulmate.

“Aren’t you scared?” (Y/N) asked him. “I mean, it’s scary to see your ring shine for the very first time.”

“I’ve never been more scared in my life.” He admitted. “I thought it would never happen to me because everyone around me had met their soulmates. But I don’t know, when our hands touched, it all made sense.”

“I guess I was angry that it was you. At least at first.” (Y/N) said. “And it triggered my anxiety as well. Every time I started to hang out with someone, the media would come all over me to ask if we were soulmates. I knew I wasn’t a match to any of them, but we were all just having fun. I didn’t want to take it to the public eye.”

“I guess you’re always harassed by the media. More than me, at least.”

“It’s all downhill when you’re a woman in Hollywood, Tom.” She sighed. “Yeah, it sucks most of the time. But my love for acting makes it all worth it.”

“I know what that is like.” He nodded in agreement and watched (Y/N) get up to see herself in front of a mirror.

“Zip me down, please.” She asked as she looked at him over the shoulder. Tom gulped but was quick to get to her. His hands flew to the zipper on her back where he slowly pulled them down. (Y/N) held the dress to her body and nodded as a ‘thank you’ before excusing herself to the bathroom to change. Tom just couldn’t believe how cold she could be around him, especially now that they both knew they were soulmates.

“I have micellar water in the bathroom if you want to remove the makeup.” Tom shouted.

“You have a full skincare routine in here.” She shouted back as her eyes went through all the products placed over the sink.

“I’m an actor, darling. I use makeup and I need my face to be perfect for the next day.” He said. “Are you dressed?”

“Yes, you can come in.” She opened the door for him and Tom already had his shirt unbuttoned, ready to be taken off.

“And skincare routines are like… really nice.” He smiled at her. “We should do face masks.”

“You have one?”

“Lucky enough, I have two.” He winked at her before taking two cotton pads and wetting them with micellar water.

“What a prepared boy.” She smiled at him, the first smile she genuinely showed all night. “I was mentally cursing you for not letting me go home to my skincare, but apparently you even have serums.”

“My makeup artist bought it for me. I have them, but normally I sleep too much and don’t have time to use them.” He admitted. “But it’s all yours, love.”

“Love? That’s new.” She commented. “You normally only call people the infamous British ‘darling’, right?”

“Yeah, but you’re not just anyone.” Tom shrugged. “I have to admit, I don’t know how to start the conversation we need to have.”

“I don’t know either.” (Y/N) agreed with a nod before turning to the mirror to remove the rest of her makeup.

“I mean, I thought I was one of those rare people that didn’t have a soulmate.”

“Me too.” He agreed. “Because I turned 25 and I saw everyone around me enjoying their life alongside their soulmates, but in a sea of people and a lot of amazing things, I didn’t have anyone to share.”

“I guess I felt the same. I think growing up as a child star made my life very lonely and I have only a few people that I trust and that I get to feel comfortable to be around. So seeing everyone I loved with a soulmate only made me lonelier.”

“We don’t have to feel lonely anymore.” Tom said before pumping the cleanser one time on his hand and another one on (Y/N)’s.

“This cleanser is the best! I used to have a lot of acne growing up, but this totally changed my life.”

“I use this one too.” (Y/N) said. “Did you know I lost a role because of acne once? The director said my skin had to be flawless because the character was supposed to be a lady.”

“What a whole lot of bullshit.” Tom frowned in anger. “I played Spider-Man with acne on Homecoming.”

(Y/N) shrugged before bending on the sink to rinse her face. Tom waited for her to come back with a towel in his hands, which she thanked with a smile.

“Yeah, I feel like the director did me a huge favour by taking me off the movie. The girl that got my role said he was very abusive on set.” (Y/N) said as Tom rinsed his own face. “But I guess that’s a trauma, you know? I had a lot of insecurities because of that one audition.”

“Well, I think you are beautiful just the way you are.” Tom kissed her cheek right after he came up from the sink. (Y/N) immediately cracked a smile at the gesture.

“We learned more about each other in half an hour than in five years of knowing each other.”

“I like that already.” Tom said before turning to get two face masks - one for him and another for her. “This is supposed to detox your face. And I have four pads for the eyes as well.”

“I love a prepared man.” (Y/N) giggled before ripping the package open. Both of them placed the masks on their faces and laughed at each other once they were done.

“We need to take a picture of us.” Tom immediately popped his phone and (Y/N) leaned into his shoulder so he could take a photo in the mirror.

“Send it to me afterwards.” She said to him. “I wanna remember this.”

“You do?” He frowned with a smile on his face.

“Of course, you’re my soulmate after all.” That was the first time she ever admitted he was her soulmate out loud and it made both of them euphoric. Were things finally falling into place?

“I like you, (Y/N).” Tom said. “I know we have a long way to go and that we never really got along, but I’ve always liked you.”

“I guess I like you too, Holland.” She smiled at him. “I’m sorry for all the fighting over the years.”

“Don’t worry about it.” He shrugged. “We have plenty of time now, don’t we?”

“I guess.” She shrugged. “Do you have anything to eat?”

“I have pizza leftovers from last night and a microwave to heat it up,” Tom suggested. “But we can always call the front desk to ask for food.”

“Nah, I just want something quick.” (Y/N) opened the mini-fridge and popped some pizza out of there. She was quick to put two slices in the microwave so they could share. “Can I take a can of soda?”

“Of course you can. Get one for me too, love.” Tom said as he prepared the bed for sleeping. “Do you want me to sleep on the couch?”

(Y/N) looked back at the bed, which was definitely bigger than the one she has back home, and shrugged. “I think it’s big enough for us. We have to get used to it, don’t we?”

“You talk as if we’re obligated to be with each other,” Tom said, now setting the pleasant mood down with just a few words.

“Well, isn’t it the whole concept of soulmates? You just have to accept that they are meant to be with you?”

“Soulmates don’t need to be this artificial.” Tom sighed. “They have an instant bond, a natural connection. They shouldn’t feel obligated to be with each other.”

“Tom, I really don’t want to fight right now.” She said. “I know we have a lot of issues and we still need to work this through conversation, but I had a long night. I’m sorry if I’m treating this like it’s an obligation, it’s just… so new to me.”

Tom closed his eyes and took a deep breath before nodding. Judging by the colour of his ring, he was very stressed. “You’re right, yeah. Sorry.”

Instead of saying anything, (Y/N) left the pizza in the microwave to give him a tight hug. She watched his dark ring turn into a pink and blue-ish colour, meaning he felt both loved and relaxed. Her own ring matched his colours and it was the very first time it showed any of those colours.

“Thank you for this.” He whispered in her ear. “I really, really want this to work. Because you’re special (Y/N), and I’ve known that for a while.”

“I know Tom. Just, give us a little more time, alright?” She pulled back, her hands never leaving his neck, just to see his face. He smiled before nodding at her words.

“More time. Yeah, I can do that.”

One year later

“(Y/N), wait for me.” Tom called from behind her through the current mess of Dolby Theatre during the Oscars. She stopped her walk just to see what he had to say. Just like a year ago, Tom’s ring was painted black for anxiety and stress.

“What’s wrong with you?” She frowned as her hand immediately flew to the one who held his ring.

“I’m nervous about the award.” He admitted. This had been the first time he had ever been nominated for an Oscar, let alone for Best Actor. Tom had been shitting himself ever since he found out he was nominated.

“You’re gonna be just fine.” She pulled him into a hug and his muscles immediately relaxed under her touch. Once again, as every time (Y/N) touches him, his ring turned blue with a faint hint of pink. “I’m already so proud of you.”

“Thank you, love.”

It had been one year since they shared a hotel room at the Chateau Marmont to talk about them being soulmates. Ever since then, a lot happened between (Y/N) and Tom. They became close friends, trying to build the best relationship after years of hatred. Now they were best friends who were very much in love with each other, but they were just waiting for the right time to take this to the next level. Both knew they were meant to be together, but the best part of starting to like someone is the butterflies in their stomach. They didn’t want to skip that.

So that means they never kissed, not even once. Although, (Y/N) and Tom have been inseparable lately, they just couldn’t have their first kiss right before leaving for work in the morning or drunk in the club late at night. They talked it through and they had their entire life to just be with each other, so it could wait until the universe said it was time.

But maybe both of them couldn’t resist for much longer.

“Will you sit with me?” Tom asked her, who this time was only attending the event as his guest. Last year she won the Emmys, but this year she was taking a break to focus on the following season for the show that took her name to television glory.

“Of course.” She nodded and Tom helped her get to the table.

People and the media were starting to get more and more suspicious about them being soulmates. Not only they were seen hanging out together all the time, a fan caught them one night playing with each other’s ring as they shared dinner to celebrate Tom’s Oscars nomination. After that photo went viral, people just couldn’t leave them alone. And maybe attending the red carpet together didn’t help the rumours at all.

But (Y/N) looked stunning, even if this was supposed to be Tom’s night. He was dressed in a double-breasted Prada black suit that made the perfect contrast with her champagne satin dress, which kept her outfit simple and classy, perfect for the Oscars. He thought she looked as beautiful as she ever does and he wanted to show everyone that that was his soulmate - even though they were taking things slow. And just to close the whole look, Tom gave her a brand new ring that has been shining in purple for adoration ever since he put it on her finger.

Both of them had a great time commenting on the ceremony, making bets about the winners and cursing the Academy every time a good movie lost an award. But as the night was coming to an end, the closer it got to the Best Actor category. As they read all the nominees’ names, Tom searched for (Y/N)’s hand under the table and she gave him tight squeezes to calm him down.

“And the Oscar goes to…” Uma Thurman, who had been invited to present the award, started. “Tom Holland.”

Tom felt so relieved that the first thing he did was pull (Y/N) into a sweet and brief kiss, the first one they ever shared. It caught her by surprise, but she wasn’t mat at all. Actually, she very much liked it. After that, Tom was greeted by a few of his cast members and family before heading up to the stage to receive the award. He was on the verge of tears and (Y/N) was the only one who could see his ring shining green for mixed feelings.

“I’m still a little bit stunned by this.” He breathed out as he held the award in his hands. “Because little Tom would never imagine he would one day be standing on this stage to receive such an honour as an Oscar. I have a lot of people to thank and I am grateful for everything all of them have done for me over my career. But the work that got me this award couldn’t have been done without the help and support of my beautiful soulmate. (Y/N), I love you. This award is for both of us.”

The whole crowd broke into laugh claps and cheerings for Tom, but (Y/N) was too stunned to speak. She only arched her brows and smiled at him, reassuring him that it was fine. He continued to thank a few other people on the cast and crew, never forgetting his family as well, before coming down from the stage. (Y/N) immediately got up from her seat to meet him in the green room before they presented Best Picture.

Tom, who was being congratulated by a few people around, dropped the conversation he was having with Uma Thurman just to hug (Y/N). They stood quiet for a few seconds, just enjoying each other’s embrace.

“You’re crazy.” She whispered in his ear.

“I know.” He giggled. “But I just couldn’t help myself.”

“The whole world knows about us now.” (Y/N) said and Tom shrugged. “You kissed me for the first time in front of the whole world.”

“I wanted to make this night unforgettable.” He admitted. “And it will always be the best night of my life.”

“I love you, Oscar Winner Tom Holland.”

“I love you too, Emmy Winner (Y/N) (Y/L/N).” He kissed her one more time before quickly pulling back, searching for two glasses of champagne to make a toast. “To happy years in our relationship and to many more awards.”

“And to us and every step we take from now on.”

“To us.”
