Help us make My Brother, My Brother and Me more accessible by creating transcripts of each episode! This is a super large undertaking that will take more than just one or two people working on it, so we’re hoping to get as many fans involved as possible.

You can find the transcripts that need work on the Master Tracking doc.
(hint: it’s pretty much all of them, as of right now. There are two that are finished though, yay!)

Anyone can edit these Google docs, so pick any episode you want and start transcribing! If you don’t want to transcribe and prefer proofreading and formatting, that will be an option too. Please check out the Resources and Formatting Guide for tips and tricks.

If you have any questions or tips on how to make this process easier and/or the end results even more accessible, please let us know. Follow us @mbmbamscripts for updates and clarifications.

If you haven’t heard, we’re over here trying to transcribe every episode of My Brother, My Brother and Me to make the podcast more accessible. You can jump in at any time, transcribe any episode you want, and keep track of the progress when you’re finished so that someone else can jump in. (This is our Master Tracking doc, which has all the details.)

If you don’t have the time or ability to transcribe yourself, we’re also looking for proofreaders! Basically, people to go through the episode and correct any mistakes and make sure things are formatted according to our Formatting Guide.

So if editing is more your speed, you can see the list of episodes that need to be checked here. There’s currently 13 episodes waiting to be finished.

Hi, cool babies! The effort to transcribe every episode of MBMBAM has been going so well, with 52 completed transcripts so far!

We’re always looking for more volunteers, as this is truly a group effort. You can get started by hopping on over to theMaster Tracking documentto see what episodes still need work, as well as to find a link to theFormatting/Resource Guide, which will give you helpful tips and instructions on how to transcribe.

There’s also quite a few completed transcripts that need proofreading/formatting. If you don’t have the time or desire to transcribe a whole episode and prefer the proofing side of things, you can check out this list of episodes waiting to be checked.

They used it as a way to add spam, memes, & other things no one said in the video.

Because of these people YouTube has decided to remove the option all together.

Over 130 fans of ‘Spring Awakening’ worked together using Community Captions to caption over 400 Deaf West’s Spring Awakening videos.

People all around the world worked together to make the videos accessible for EVERYONE. Not just for Deaf & Hard of Hearing people, but also people with sensory processing disorders, and people who’s language is not the same as the video.

Most the time a video is ONLY captioned because of Community Captions.

With the removal of this feature, billions of videos will not be accessible for ALL people. 

Sign the petition to tell @YouTube not to remove Community Captions.
