Please don’t put slashes in your trigger warning tags. I just saw a post tagged both “epilepsy //“ and “flashing //“. The slashes at the end of the epilepsy tag did not prevent it from showing up in my epilepsy tag search. But the slashes in the flashing tag did prevent tumblr’s built in tag filters from recognizing it as a blacklisted tag. The only thing adding slashes does is make it harder for people who need to filter those tags to do so. (Also, I know xkit allows things to work differently, but people have different reasons for only using tumblr mobile. Like for me, as far as I know, there’s no good extension to disable autoplay on tumblr on desktop but the mobile app lets you disable autoplay, even though it’s not perfect. And you can’t add extensions to the mobile app so… please try to assume people are working with tumblr’s system, not that everybody has extensions to make tumblr work differently.)
TLDR;Don’t use slashes to try to censor tags, it just makes tags harder to filter, and don’t assume everyone uses xkit or other extensions.
