i finished life is strange true colors for the second time today and i cannot think about the ending of this game without crying. alex’s goal after everything she endures is to live a happy, normal life. not to be famous or a superhero. just to have an existence she can be content with.
and the game really says now wouldn’t that be beautiful? if alex was able to stay in a place she loved, surrounded by people she loved, doing things she loved, and even just doing the mundane tasks of daily living, wouldn’t that be beautiful? if there were never any threats to her like typhon or jed ever again, if her routine became so familiar and secure that she would stop questioning it, wouldn’t that be beautiful? wouldn’t that be the most wonderful, freeing, healing thing you could imagine for her?
so many video games end with the promise of more adventures for their heroes but for alex, this contentment is enough. and isn’t that beautiful?

#this is why i chose the stay in haven ending #because from what we gleam of alexs past decade #she didnt have a stable place to stay #or people who properly cared about her #and she found it in a whole community #of people who she helped and who stood up for her #in my playthrough i guess #but even if someone didnt support her during the vote #they are genuinely sorry #and no matter what shes welcomed there #but the seek adventure ending is also good #i also love the idea of alex becoming a famous musician #but she can have both endings at different times #basically its whatever she wants on her terms #because either way shell be successful and happy #true colors spoilers #true colors #life is strange

After seeing true colors i had to draw something. I also had the chance to play with new brushes for the aura. Turned out better than I thought @amphibi-crew
