I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I want a DD tv series. Party Poison would be good NB representation.
I created a whole ass DD alternative universe only because i accidentaly drew older Jet with both of his eyes and was too lazy to fix it. Turned out it was a wonderful mistake, Jet wears prosthetic eye and gets to grow old with Kobra
Well, Valentine’s Day is supposed to be a day to express love, right? I think for the killjoys, that’s not just limited to romantic love. I think joys would send letters or postcards or gifts to all the people they care about - their family/crew, their romantic partners, their friends. Maybe some even hire smugglers to send a message to their family in the city.

How would those in Battery City and the Zones celebrate Valentine’s Day?
I think we all know the food in the zones and on the run isn’t the best, so maybe they would actually try their hardest to have a good meal that year? A sign of good luck before another year of running begins!
I don’t know how’s in other countries but in mine there’s the tv doing the countdown for the beginning of the new year. Maybe in the Zones there’s the same, with Doctor D. doing all the countdown thing pumping up everyone through the radio and then playing the best of his records to party!
I’d love to imagine them having fun with not-so-legal fireworks but in the end probably they’d just blow up some s/c/a/r/e/c/r/o/w car or something and then shout “happy new year!”

How do you think they celebrate new years in the Danger Days universe?
i both like and hate val and i cant explain why like ive tried just hating him and for some reason some part of me is like “nah he has a funky design therefor you gotta like him”

I headcanon all the people who live in the desert are covered with freckles because the radiation is high and the sun is always shining.
idk if this is the right place to put this, but show pony is the reason i’m so confused about sexuality. if they didn’t exist i’d assume i was asexual, but they’re too damn hot :/
they spend the year making fireworks and light them in memory of their friends that have long become dust, the families they hold close, and the ones that never quite made it. they light them in memory of what they’ve lost and what will come, and they light them to symbolize the hope they so desperately need to keep fighting.

I think the killjoys would celebrate the 4th of July as a celebration of rebellion and community amongst themselves – they’d use it as an opportunity to help each other out, give gifts maybe, repaint masks and blasters and basically just have a party.
I think they’d consider it a time to reinvent themselves, and plan the next steps against BLI, maybe even carry out important raids on that date. I feel like they would be aware of the problems with it, but not know in much detail, since there is a lot of American history that would have been lost when BLI took over

How do US killjoys view or celebrate the 4th of July?
mod note: though i think the killjoys would resonate with and hold on to the concept of “freedom” in relation to the 4th of July and the US , there are lots of problematic things with the country and this holiday and i want to recognize that and link resources on ways you can help support indigenous people.

When I first watched the NaNaNa and Sing music videos, I knew Gerard had a daughter named Bandit with a woman named Lindsey, but not how old Bandit was nor what Lindsey looked like, so I thought that the Girl in the videos was actually his daughter. The way he hugs her when he rescues her in Sing just felt so real to me, I thought that must really be his daughter. (I know, I know, acting is a thing, but I really believed it).
I headcanon that Mike’s mom killed herself and that’s why Mike ended up being the way he is.
Cause if you look in that one panel of issue 4 of National Anthem, and see a young Mike crying as he stands in front of what is more than likely a casket bearing his mother’s dead body, you can also see a ray gun in his hand.
So I think because of his mother’s death, it’s why Mike turned out being the way he is. And also why at the end of the comics, he gave up the Killjoy lifestyle to be with Jaime and so Jaime could have a dad, rather than Mike continuing the Killjoy lifestyle and possibly getting killed at some point.
And he more than likely didn’t have a dad in his life either, so he wants to be a father figure in Jaime’s life. Not the perfect father figure, cause no one is perfect, but to at least be a father figure for Jaime
the killjoys have a few tapes that they play besides from madgear and the middle kid that they found in the desert from before BLI took over. Party’s favourite is Blondie, Jet is David Bowie, Kobra is Kasabian and Ghoul is the Misfits and he throws a tantrum anytime someone wants to play a different track in the car and he always rushes to the car to try get there first so he can play them inevitably falling on his face everytime.
