It’s been on my to-do list for over a year, but I finally got around to it. One of those things that probably no one needs but me.

I love these low poly trees by Silent-Dragon, but they weren’t seasonal. So I made them seasons-friendly and repositoried textures to a single mesh.

9 meshes in this set, all of them are extremely low poly. Sure, they may not be very detailed up close, but they make pretty birch forests and can create interesting combinations when you put several meshes together.

I used original Silent-Dragon’s GUIDs, so you can’t have this and original set in your game at the same time.
Just so no one gets confused - these trees are for build mode, not for nhood.

I only wanted to convert a palm tree from ts4 wedding pack, and then things escalated…

“All-Purpose” Palm Tree

I know what you’re thinking: haven’t ts4 palm trees already been converted to ts2? Why do we need it?
With this set you get palm trees in 5 sizes with all textures repo’d to one mesh. It comes with several recolors and each tree has two recolorable subsets, so you can mix and match different bark and leaves textures. If you don’t like my recolors (especially that questionable banana leaf one…) you can always make your own, and all repo’d meshes will pick it up.

Technical info:

• polys: 2.9k for palm from weddings pack and 1.8k for BG palm tree. Polys are higher than original because I smoothed edges on trunks a little bit and added undersides to foliage
• textures: trunk 128x1028, leaves 512x512
• won’t change with seasons, because these are palm trees, why would they?
• compressed. GUIDs randomly generated.

I’ve added second subset to each of these. Two planters using identical textures were repositoried. Plus I’ve replaced the hooks and moved the hanging plants up to ceiling level.

Fountain of Grass - 100 Recolors in Watchmen Color Combinations - Seasons Enabled!

It’s finally finished!

This started as a request by @tvickiesims, but once I discovered that recoloring seasons-friendly plants is not a straight forward process, it turned into a collaboration. Vickie was gracious enough to help me out by creating a seasons-enabled template, so many thanks to Vickie for making this possible! <3

So here are 100 recolors of Maxis’ Fountain of Grass in Watchmen! Each leaf color comes with four flower options, for a total of 100 choices for all your landscaping needs. Swatch, details and download below the cut!

Here are all the included color combinations. I tried to vary them as much as possible:

There is a labeled version of this swatch included in the download. I used the color numbers for these since the color names would have resulted in really long file names, but the swatch should make it easy enough to keep just what you like.

And here is a preview of the plants in the snow (I used these brushes from Brusheezy for the snow textures):

Gabe isn’t impressed, but I sure am. XD Vickie was also kind enough to give me permission to share the template in case any other creators would like to make their own seasons-friendly recolors, so that is also included in the download.
