Summary: (Set early season 4) Daryl and the Reader are on a hunt, tracking down food to bring back to the prison, when they find themselves caught in a raging storm.
A/N: So, here is the long awaited ‘Collective Author Oneshot’ round 2! (If you don’t know what that is, I started this series on my page where I get a bunch of author’s together and we all write a one-shot together!) It’s really fun to mesh together everyone’s different writing styles and see how the story unfolds.
The order in which we wrote was chosen by a random number generator. After all the participating author’s sent me their pieces, I edited them together – some stuff was changed or cut for continuity purposes/length. The only thing the author’s had to go off of was the summary – the story itself was up to us, also depending on how the person before who wrote previous left off!
Each author will be tagged after their correlating piece, so be sure to give them all some love!

That would probably be the word you’d use to describe your food situation — scarce, dry, and lacking.
Any houses or stores you came by had already been ransacked, leaving little to nothing to be found. Animals seemed to know to stay away from the prison that you and your family called home — which was why you were now further out in the woods with Daryl. You’d been out for hours now and the only sign that your hunting trip wasn’t a complete waste of time was the line of squirrels hanging off his belt.
“Psst!” you called out, catching Daryl’s attention as you gestured over to a rabbit a short distance in front of you.
His eyes narrowed in on the small animal and he quickly raised his loaded crossbow. He pulled the trigger and in an instant, the rabbit was killed — quick and painless.
Daryl nodded at you before going over to collect his catch.
this was absolutely phenomenal!! it was so fun participating in this for a second time, tysm! i would definitely do this again if given the chance!! all the writers that took part in this, ur all amazing and this came out beautiful and took a lil spicy turn EHEHE
