# Bad feeling.
She was always just a monster in everyone’s eyes. She has often thought of dying. She had even decided not to run away from death. Stop fighting. She was injured that day. She had fled the walkers for days. Alone. Leaning against a tree, she had chosen to stop there. But life did not see it the same way. That’s where she met him. Or rather, that he found her. He trusted her, helped her, saved her. She has often wondered why. Because he is a good person. That answer was enough for her at the time. She saw him as a friend. He was her family. Her reason for living. They were close. They spent all their time together. They were exploring the world. At least for a while. Over the years, he has moved away. The danger was less present. The walkers were no longer a threat. The communities had found peace. He no longer needed her. This is where the question came back to her mind. Why did he save her? Dozens of responses popped into her head the days her friend left her alone with herself. She only had him. The others saw nothing more than a monster. Maybe he does too? The more she thought about it, the more she wondered how he saw her. Was she just a pet ? A distraction ? A fair beast? A weapon ? Yet when she looked into his eyes, she saw a sincere friendship. She dared not show him this malaise. So she let him go. As many times and as far as he wanted. But not that day. That day, she knew he would not come back. She couldn’t let that happen. She wished she could hold him back. But he liked being outside. And there he had to rescue a friend. No one could have held him. He asked her to stay, to trust him, that he would be home before dark, as they had promised when they each left on their own. With a tight heart she accepted. But when she understood the extent of the danger he was exposed to, she fled in search of him. She found him at dusk. Alive. But this sinister presentiment did not leave her, until her life turned upside down. “
