Naruto-themed comission I did. I was struggling since I don’t draw on paper things this precise anymore. I just get used to draw wobbly individuals, not beautiful clean people

I was commissioned to make sort of portrait of anime loving friend. He turned out to be Naruto fan, so I made him ninja.  

It was first ink drawing on paper after longtime (like the pretty one, with sketch and everything). My linework is pretty stiff, need to draw more on paper. 

Friend of mine had a birthday and she likes Pokémon, so I did this “”Happy Birthday!” by Pikachu for her. 

Last time I attempted to draw a Pokémon was like 15-20 years ago, but I got a little better in drawing in general so I wasn’t afraid to try it again now.

Two pages from my new comics I did for XRX mag zine. 

Quite an experiment for me, I tried to combine the way I usually draw inktober stuff (no pencil and loose lines) and something so stric like telling a story with panels. 

For the first time I did not care how the result will the look like. So the form+story>illustrations

I did that mirrored piece and then I tried to make something bigger. But the simpler one is still better. 

I have decided that I need to fill my sketchbook since I don’t do that anymore and have one half-full ready. So one picture from it. 

Maybe I will start to post full sketchbook pages or something like that. We will see. (The thing is that I use instagram as a primary source for sharing pictures now and that is the one page per post thing which is its strenght and weakness at the same time. So probably no sketchbook pages there.)

My newest short story illustration for czech Forbes NEXT.

I tried to give it a retro sci-fi look. Something like John Carter. That guy travels to the moon on the wood horse, so that was obvious way how to do that.  And I was definitely influenced by Tradd Moore’s Silver Surfer for the moon people on the tardigrades.

Jislovka gave me colour-wise advice when I had 20 minutes till deadline and needed to make it look nice, so thanks for that! 

LUSTR teaser
I used inktober principle to make drawings for “LUSTR” festival of illustration during summer holidays. I did quite a lot of those (almost 50), but I failed at making one per day wich is very important part of that formula. But unfortuantely I had very busy summer so I am still happy that I manged to make at least something.

FOOD BATTLES 1-6/posters

I was requested to upload my older posters for “food battles”. Small events my dear friends “Happy Cookers” organize. So here you have it. You can see progress I have done in last 7/8 years. 

And I have to add that my graphic designer friend hates when I do something graphic like the whole poster :) Nevermind, the posters helped me to learn how to work with it and I hope that with every poster I learn at least something.

Poster for little vegan food contest event of my friends. I do posters for these regularly. I try to keep it fresh and change the style with every poster.

Definitely inspired by Farel Dalrymple. He’s the greatest. Just read his Wrenchies, you are not gonna regret it. 

Out of jars.

A picture for my grandma. I scanned it but the scanned version has completely different colours and I am not happy about it, so here are just two photos of it. 

I used two different types of colour ink and I like how it turned out. I try to use diffent tools more, it is fun.
