I think the drawing is pretty self explanatory. I tried to give a fractured, unsettled look to the whole image as Doppio struggles to grasp with his identity. Here’s a thought- image Doppio starts to realize that there’s something off about himself- that his mind is split between two people. In the show, he’s oblivious to this but I wonder how he’d react if he were to realize he IS the boss he so greatly idolizes; that they are one in the same. I wonder how he’d handle it…. When he was dying, he said he was “so lonely” as he begged the boss to call him again. Would loneliness crush him if he realized he had been all alone with his own mind this whole time? And as a side note, I head canon that Doppio was the first personality to develop. I like to think Diavolo had always been within him but it branched off of Doppio and morphed into a separate entity over time.
