This dress was created by Willys Originals of Hollywood, found at the estate of Miss Willy herself, an interested figure in history. She was born in Europe in 1911. She began her work as a seamstress and furrier at the age of 16 in 1927. She and her husband got engaged in 1934. After aiding in the Underground Railroad of Europe during World War Two with her husband, she immigrated to California, USA. Miss Willy opened her boutique on Melrose Avenue in the heart of Los Angeles and designed custom gowns for the stylish ladies of LA until it closed in 1986 when she was 75. She worked with Edith Head at Paramount and with Debbie Reynolds for her Las Vegas show. She was custom making and altering garments until she was 88 and left this world in 2014 at the age of 103.
