First steps as of right now are contacting pre-accepted folks! I have a question for those involved about entry. I may have mentioned this, but those sheets are almost finished up!
Thanks for your patience! As usual, BLBR runs at the pace that works best for us here… and it’s been a brutal few months for our mod team. I hope that at least provides some reassurance to anyone here waiting to get in or planning on applying in the future that if you have hard times, we’ll give you that same understanding. BLBR will be there when you feel ready.
Spades (pictured here as a young adult) references pieces of a rough past– a cruel mother, a childhood spent sick and hungry, a series of mistakes and lies.
The Court is built of cats from similar walks of life. Spades sought to create the place of growth and love she needed in the past, and she hopes she’s succeeded.
Redacted is staying with the Court out of fear for their life. Whose to say what’s lurking around every corner? Whose to say they’re even safe in the Court?
You were said to be descended of his descendants, though no one who lives was there to see him born or raised. You know of his early life only because he told you stories of his youth. Threaded between the gaps in his recollections, the long pauses as he struggled to feel around for his memories, was his supreme age.
The Grandfather of All Cats, a mysterious figure seen in a recent and still developing vision by a few Court cats.
A new character, Havenshiver has already made a huge impact, even though they have only just joined the Court! In their introduction, she presented a somewhat motherly front, making a positive first impression on that cats she was met with while fleeing the storm.
I personally really admire Havenshiver and her ability to adapt and change! She grew up in a violent atmosphere, which likely shaped her worldview, but it’s still admirable that she instead choses to be loving and caring now! A mediator rather than an instigator, and I know for sure the Court needs a few more of what Haven brings to the table!
As one of the new arrivals to the Court, Havenshiver has only just started hinting to how good of an impact she will have on this group. I cannot wait to see her grow and develop in the future!!

Havenshiver has put herself out there for a council position as well! The re-election is happening as we speak. I love her immediate commitment to help things out, and goodness will she realize just how much of a mess the Court is. Delicious, I love it.
There’s an ask I’m very excited to answer in the askbox right now! Just so you know, I’ve seen it, I’m going to answer soon. If anyone else has any questions to send in, feel free to. I’d love to chatter about how things or any other updates once I get to answering questions.
As of now I’m prioritizing finishing up some commissions and teaching winter themed camps at the art school I work at, so I’m a bit busy at the moment… but! After this week I will be more free and able to give y'all some updates and answers here. If Buzz has the spoons, I may task him with helping spread some info as well.

A season known normally for its prosperity and rebirth, the clans have experienced little new life. While there was no announcement of illness and all the clans seemed well fed. But at first no queens were announced. Only Minnowbreeze of BoulderClan still expecting her kits that had been announced just before Newleaf. BoulderClan were the only clan to announce new apprentices. The first gathering of Newleaf, Rainfin was announced as a Otter Rusher apprentice and Eveningfin a new Warrior apprentice. Many cats continued to go missing. Pikefrost, Rushflower, and Shortfang of BoulderClan. Morningspark and Dustwing of CrescentClan. Then Mudbelly of RailClan were all announced missing during the first moon of Newleaf. All were said to have returned by the next moon. All except Shortfang.
The next moon was full of mixed emotions, tension overpowering joy. Pebblestar was excited to announce the birth of five kits in BoulderClan. The joyful news was quickly forgotten as thinly veiled threats passed between RailClan and CrescentClan. Instigated by Foxstar, implying the blame of the missing cats fell on the other clans, largely CrescentClan though she didnt say it outright. Yet RailClan had new missing cats this moon, it was unclear to the gathered cats where the hostility came from. Muddyseed of CrescentClan as well as Icetail, BoulderClan’s deputy, and Rapidfin of BoulderClan were announced to be missing.
With the last moon of Newleaf came a rather peaceful and generally uneventful gathering. Icetail had returned, leading BoulderClan to the Stepping Ponds. Pebblestar was not present with her clan and it was soon announced that her last life had been lost. Now Icestar, the new BoulderClan deputy, Willowfrost, was announced. Foxstar seemed off during the gathering, unusually quiet and possibly unwell. Apologizing unprompted during her announcement to Smokestar and CrescentClan for her accusations last moon. While Smokestar expressed acceptence of the apology he offered no further comments on the subject or relations of CrescentClan and RailClan. Icestar announced the confirmation that Shortfang’s return was no longer awaited. The BoulderClan elder confirmed to be with StarClan now, their cause of death unknown due to their disappearance. As well BoulderClan announced the disappearance of many apprentices, Rainfin, Elmfin, and Sharkfin as well as a warrior Azurepelt. RailClan announced the disappearance of Wetfoot. As well as Briartuft was announced for CrescentClan. With the ending of Newleaf, the clans feel no closer to finding the cause of their clanmates disappearances. StarClan be willing, perhaps Greenleaf will bring answers.
RailClan has grown too powerful! So many wonderful cats! Crescent and Boulder struggle to keep up! They need adults! The adultiest adults! All of the adults!
