Yuri Is My Job Anime Rumored After Leaks and Website Domain Registration

On April 16, rumors began to appear online that Miman’s popular Yuri comedy series Yuri Is My Job! (Watashi no Yuri wa Oshigoto Desu!) will be adapted into an anime. The rumors originated on Weibo and were quickly picked up by users on Twitter.

Additionally, Twitter account Sugoi LITE, which regularly posts anime leaks, posted about a newly registered website domain for the alleged adaptation, watayuri-anime . com. YuriMother has verified that the domain was registered in Japan on April 14. WataYuri (わたゆり) is a common abbreviation for the manga’s Japanese title.

It is unknown when we will hear more about the possible anime adaptation. More news may come alongside the release of the manga’s tenth volume, which will be available in Japanese on May 18 and November 15 in English.

Yuri Is My Job! is serialized in Comic Yuri Hime. Kodansha Comics publishes the series in English. The publisher describes the series:

So when she accidentally injures a café manager named Mai, she’s willing to cover some shifts to keep her façade intact. To Hime’s surprise, the café is themed after a private school where the all-female staff always puts on their best act for their loyal customers. However, under the guidance of the most graceful girl there, she can’t help but blush and blunder! Beneath all the frills and laughter, Hime feels tension brewing as she finds out more about her new job and her budding feelings…SEE LESS
