I really like romance, and there’s not much in modern fict that captures the silly fluttery-heart feeling I get from classic 1930s-40s Hollywood romantic comedies and love stories.
The past couple years though, I’ve tumbled into manga and manhua again after pretty much sticking to western comics for ages. In particular the yuri (girls love) sub-genre. A few well done same sex romance comics really capture that same daydreamy fun I get from films like “Sabrina” “It Happened One Night” “Design for Living” or “Some Like It Hot”. With the benefits of lgbtqa+ inclusion and an absence of most retrograde racism and sexism found in those old stories.
A couple of my favorites have been:
“Bloom Into You”
“Crescent Moon & Doughnuts”
“Accept My Fist of Love” and
“Still Sick”.
All of these are available in manga form, getting US translations, but only “Bloom Into You” has an anime adaption so far (and that doesn’t look like it’ll ever get completed).

So, my last fic was light and fluffy and cute and had virtually no angst. This one is a super angsty drug induced fuckfest. See, you can’t say I don’t have variety to my work!
Wow, I’ve gotten so lazy with images for my fics… Anyway, backstory for this one is simple. I wrote a lot of angst lately, so I got stuck and decided I needed to write something light and fluffy. This was the outcome. ENJOY!
It’s been a year since Kaoru and Chisato met each other again as high school students. Their “relationship” has consisted of months of unhealthy habits between the two. Suddenly, Chisato takes the initiative on asking Kaoru out on a date… But there’s hidden motives to her invitation.
The anime for Gun Gale Online ended and I loved it. I had to write another fic for LLENN/Karen and Pitohui/Elsa after how it concluded, so here it is. Keep in mind that this is written without knowledge of the later light novels, so it’s probably super inaccurate to some details.
This one isn’t as NSFW or spicy as the last one, stopping at some foreplay and allusions to kinks. I have to admit, seeing LLENN bite into Pito’s neck in a scene with such romantic undertones may have stirred me up more than it should.
Did I just write a Sword Art Online ero-fic? Oh god, I did.
So this was fun, and long. I’ve really been enjoying Gun Gale Online’s anime so far and was disappointed how little LLENN x Pitohui content there was considering their wonderful chemistry in the show. So I decided to just go all out and write this and since we’re dealing with two adults I figured I would go spicier than usual - with a little comedy twist to it all to make it a bit awkward.
So I decided to write this in first person, which is generally not the style I go with. It made it a bit more challenging but I feel it fits the more monologue-driven narrative I wanted to achieve for Ran. I hope it was a satisfying read.
So, this is not exactly Part 3 of Hello, Happy Love, but it is a spinoff sort-of I guess? This takes place after my fic “Once More With Feeling” which is the story of how Kanon and Misaki become a couple after the events of the Phantom Thief story in BanG Dream! Girls Band Party.
It’s also my first published fic on here with an actual sex scene, though it’s not too explicit since the characters are technically underage (though above age of consent) and all. I’m not really experienced when it comes to writing sex scenes so I’m not sure if it’s good or not, let me know I guess.
This was not originally going to be how I brought Chisato and Kaoru together, but after talking to a friend about the characters I came to like the idea of them being former lovers and Chisato not being able to let go of Kaoru despite wanting to. And there’s nothing more I love than a good angsty fic to truly make my characters suffer emotionally. Because I am a monster.
