(Watch Out) Boy Music Video BTS: The Robins’ First Scene

In which focus was at an all-time low and director Michael struggles not to strangle us for mucking around. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ All joking aside, we loved every single minute.

(Watch Out) BoyMusic Video BTS: Cameron’s Scene

The second (and last) day opened to a similarly early start. A wonderful big breakfast was provided for the crew by catering legend Vašek, and thermoses of tea were prepared by cold hands. There were three scenes in between Skye’s first and this one - the Robins’ daytime scene, Skye’s bonfire scene, and the Robins’ bonfire scene - but unfortunately our cameraman’s battery was required elsewhere. Cameron’s character’s name was Arthur, a brutish, vain man who broke his ex’s heart and doesn’t know she’s after him until she catches up…

(Watch Out) BoyMusic Video BTS: Skye’s Scene

After a six-hour drive the night before, the crew woke bright and early on the first day to get to work. As we filmed this back in July, it was freezing cold (literally - sub 0 at points) and our poor actress Skye had to cop a couple of hours in thin clothing. Her character’s name was Ruth - a heart-broken young woman who sets out on a trail after her ex-lover to capture him and sacrifice him on a bonfire. You know, just normal girl stuff.

The(Watch Out) Boy Video Crew

These are the wonderfully talented and friendly people who brought our video to life. Each one of them worked long hours and still made us laugh along the way. It was a truly collaborative experience from the start and we feel very grateful to have made these new friends.
From left to right, top to bottom: Stephanie Stuart (producer), Cameron McCormack (director of photography), Arman McGrath (BTS photographer and COVID officer), Michael Perry (director), Austien Lie (1st AC), Kristen Russell (production designer), Cameron Spencer (actor), Skye Beker (actor), Vašek Wichta (caterer and all-round helper), and then us Robins, Sarah, Jess and Charlotte.
Not pictured are: Bella Saltearn (wardrobe), Christopher Bailey (editor), Claire Hanna (colour grader), and Jarka and Vince (who’s place we used for filming).
