This week I got to review these super fun Water Decals (Item ID #37996) from @bornprettystore-blog and I was such a fan! I have used other water decals from Born Pretty Store before and absolutely loved them (see the review here), and honestly these were even easier to use than before!

The basic process for using these was the same (cut out the shape, submerge in water for a few seconds, separate the decal, and apply to the nails) but these separated SO easily and only needed to be submerged in the water for about 5-10 seconds. I skipped the step when it tells you to damped your nail before you apply the decal as I find it makes the surface too slippery, and it still worked just fine.

The decals, like most others, are not entirely opaque (meaning they are somewhat transparent). This is very very minor though, as you can barely even see the gingham print through them even though it is a harsh pattern using dark and contrasting shades. I found this to be a strong point of these decals.

The photo of the product you see to the right is the entire product minus the packaging (you receive one sheet of the decals per package). This sheet gives you a good variety of images while still remaining consistent and taking some of the guess work out of trying to figure out which ones go together that you may get in a more varied pack of decals. I was a bit surprised that this was all you got, seeing as the past order of decals I received seemed to have much more in quantity and variety, but this sheet is exactly what was advertised (I think I had just embellished my expectations in my mind). I was really happy with the size of the decals as well! They weren’t too big that they wouldn’t fit on the nail, but not so small that you had to struggle with them. If I have enough left over, I would love to see how these look used in a collage-type look if I used a bunch of them to fill the nail entirely.

My nails this week featuring water decalsfrom@bornprettystore-blog ! For this look, I followed this tutorial I posted a while back. Luckily my line work has improved a great deal since I made that tutorial, which was so awesome to notice! I got the idea for these nails after seeing some fashion looks that featured patches and appliqué over gingham print, and these water decals paired with some rhinestones worked perfectly for the look!
