I will be teaching one extra day for the Summer session at the @wattsatelier next term. I will be running two different Master Painting classes. One focused on a finished work in oils over the 5 week course and the other focused on shorter gouache studies with emphasis on mood, lighting, and texture. The paintings pictured are short gouache studies in various timeframes. Enrollment starts June 14th at 9am PST. Early registration is encouraged classes have been known to fill up in minutes. “I had the amazing opportunity to work on part of the concept push for the recently released Volo’s Guide to Monsters. Here’s my take on a Rothe, envisioned as a mount for the northern orc tribes. As I was working remotely and wasn’t in house to banter about the critters as I concepted them, I included notes for the team on what I was thinking. It was a blast trying to come up with a mount beefy enough for the orcs that @tylerjacobsonart designed.”
