Here is my student Vera, she took some hours of her own studying time and gave me a chance to draw her. Thank you so much ladyyyyyyy!!!!!!

I had the pleasure to draw @ockpii a sound, video game, movies and art enthusiast. He was really generous on how many hours he posed for this drawing… without that amount of time the outcome would have been a trainwreck! “Offerings II”

On the first drawing of this series I used the skull of a male mammal as a symbol of ovaries, on this piece I used a sheep’s skull to represent… “masculinity”… really curious coincidences of patterns in nature… Graphite, white chalk and black wax pencil on hand toned paper.

Ceramics can be tough, but… it beats the heck out of casting, every day of the week without breaking a sweat! This is how my piece was a few weeks ago… After being modelled I sliced it into pieces, then, I assembled it back again and now with some luck it won’t explode In the kiln…

“Offerings”

Super cool how the head of a ram with no horns attached almost resembles the shape of ovaries and utterous.

Portrait done in a workshop with the great Patrick Byrnes. I got lucky and drew a famous Portuguese Actress. It was very challenging to draw with such dark paper. 

Side/back view on Anthony’s and Kevin’s night class. A few hours of drawing dessert after the painting torment… Hahahahaha

Another exercise done at GCA in an unistructed 3h portrait session. The model was on her cell phone… extra hard… Also, I finally tried blackwings pencils.

My last week of this winter’s bootcamp at @grandcentralatelier . I got to play around with some more perspective, had a great model and, I even got to draw two skulls! Had a great month full of drawing and painting… busy busy… I’ll have more time to update instagram from now on.

Started this one out in a workshop with the mighty Kathryn Engberg, I added some extra sessions on my own and dropped a skeleton to study the pose. The triceps, teres major, teres minor and gluteus minimus are there just because I like them. 

“The owl worshipping woman”

Based in arqueological Neolithic artifacts from the Iberian peninsula. The female goddess assumed many shapes, most frequently she was represented with the eyes of an owl. He is my interpretation on these findings. 

1.5 sessions on my student Sandra. It was great to draw a quantum physics student! Fast drawing trying to get fast tone.

Anne was super cool and gave me another shot at her incredibly hard to draw persona… I I hope next time it becomes a bit easier dang… thanks a lot Celtic lady!
