He acknowledges everyone with what seems like a genuine greeting, naming each person personally as if he knows them—and he very well might. It doesn’t matter what they’re doing, when Nikolas says hello, people always say it back. ( cit. @evertidings)

oof, it’s been a while since i’ve done one of these. in all fairness, with the release of chapter seven, most of what i would have talked about was the editing process. not necessarily the most exciting thing in the world.
with the release gone and past, however, i am excited to say that i have begun working on chapter eight. i got the idea for the opening scene from a lovely beta-tester of mine and i think you’ll all really like it, especially if you’re romancing one of the ros. and if not, i still think it’s a great emotionally gripping scene that adds a lot to the story.
my only problem with chapter eight is how many variables it had. i wasn’t planning on chapter seven to end with so many outcomes and it’s coming to bite me in the ass now. not that i hate the variations—i absolutely adore the idea of people doing multiple playthroughs and discovering different scenes each time—but it does create a lot of extra work for me. on top of that, despite the (inevitable) big word count, many scenes will likely be left unread since people tend to drift towards the same options, which makes it even more bittersweet in some ways. still, i wouldn’t change anything about it, which is why i always encourage everyone to choose different things and play multiple playthroughs if you’re interested. if you want angst, it’s especially important for this chapter.
