I have a devastating secret to tell you: I actually really love rattata. I think they’re adorable and I want like 500 of them. (Wasted all my pokeballs on them in Leafgreen.) I legit cry when I have to transfer one in Pokemon Go.

I tried to be sneaky and told @mollylionheart that because (at the time) @lizzie-doll ‘s fandom trade person hadn’t drawn anything or answered contacts, that I could fill in as a surprise. Halfway through drawing this they upload their piece. SO.

I DREW FALLON FOR YOU ANYWAY. With her girlfriend bff, Esmee. In Azteca. Because you just got to Ateca ….I think. Fallon the storm wizard, Esmee the Balance wizard.

In pics like this where I see Esmee in comparison to other characters Fallon really does have every right to call her a face painted freak. Magic that takes on the form of lightning and sand means together they can create glass. That is both somewhat humorous yet somehow terrifying.

Like a week ago my parental units and myself went to Zern’s Farmer’s Market and when I met mom on the junk side of the market she had this in her hands and was smiling ridiculously.

New painting project? New painting project. I’m going to be an expert Optimus Prime repainter if I keep repainting figures of him…

Going on a whim I’m like 89% sure it’s movie Optimus because of the obnoxious long legs but I could be wrong.

@explodingnebulae got me in the fandom trade and I felt like drawing her something in return! What do I love drawing more than wizards?? Wizards TOGETHER being wizards. So here’s Esmee and her wizard Rylee linking up.

My favorite part about making this quick piece was the ridiculous contrast in color schemes. Hope you like it!

Painted some matryoshka dolls today.

Requested by anon, more pictures to help their quest in repainting their same figure!

You can easily see I missed tons of places I still need to paint, but, I am known far an wide for being a lazy, sloppy painter. Starting I had great ideas of adding highlights and shadows to give the impression of neck cables and reflectors but alas, perhaps some day in the future.

I used plain, old acrylics from a child’s craft kit I had and gloss modge podge I got from my local dollar store. So, buy a pack of brushes from Wal-mart and you can get the same kind of repaint for… less than $7.
I spent about four hours I think in total doing the actual process. And this included chatting about with a friend and getting food and browsing the internet.

Legs were the weirdest because they’re not even the same design as actual Optimus. And I painted his pedes silver because they’re so small to begin with painting them black would’ve shrunk in on itself. (In the future if I retouch, like neck cables, it’ll be something I “shade” to add depth.)

So basically, if you think you “can’t paint for shit” don’t worry. It’s just blocks of color!

And I remind you I’m a sloppy painter. Honestly, everything I do is basically scribbles. Taking a closer look you can see my brush strokes in both the paint AND the seal.

When I do retouches I might find a way to create his exhaust pipes and attach them to his back. Ngl he looks pretty naked without them.

I made my mom a very special birthday card. Though, to be fair, this could also second as a very odd Valentine’s Day card as well. (My dad’s not impressed?!?!?! Like yo man calm them tiddies let yo wife have some young Tom Selleck.)

Repainted Optimus Prime! Cause really that hunk of plastic before? What even.

FUNNY STORY.

I got my mom to watch Transformers: Prime with me and now she’s got a serious robo-crush on Optimus Prime. Any Optimus Prime figure she finds at the thrift store she gets and gives to me as if it’s an excuse she’s not just getting it for her own entertainment. (Needless to say my mom still kinda struggles to tell them apart and brought home an Ultra Magnus and when I told her it wasn’t Optimus she was really disappointed… “But he’s blue and red!”) Anyway. I had ONE Optimus Prime figure, which I bought myself like four years ago and was perfectly content.

I now have five Optimus Prime figures (and an Ultra Magnus, we’ll include him as a bonus).
This one included! But man it just looked so sad. I don’t have any fancy art supplies so, basic craft acrylics and gloss modge podge will have to do. c: I’m also really sloppy in my painting I probably shouldn’t do any more robots and just stick to my dinosaurs…


ALSO, THOSE ARE NOT OPTIMUS PRIME’S LEGS ON THAT FIGURE. I HAD A HELL OF A HARD TIME INTERPRETING THOSE. AND HIS AFT. THAT’S WRONG TOO.
