also uh… consider, if you will… white pearl’s hair being up like that to look more orderly bc she had Big Poofy Fun Hair like pink
Okay, I don’t usually post about su a lot but I see people talking again about how pink’s pearl was probably originally white’s and they usually just mention appearance but???
1) personality. pearl is nothing like pink, at least not by default. she is order and organization and pink is about just. finding good in things and being a little impulsive and reckless about it
2) when we saw pearl interact with pink diamond, asking her what she wanted, asking for specific orders she could carry out to please her. she was new to pink then, you can tell. pearl was expecting simple demands, and was concerned when her diamond wasn’t easily pleased. pink seemed a little put off by pearl’s tone and how every time she spoke casually to pearl, pearl turned it into an order for herself and carried it out. they weren’t used to each other at all.
pink probably did something in her desire for a planet that was blamed on the current white pearl and then white gave her a “more proper” pearl to keep her in line while actually in charge of the planet. or at least, that’s when the swap happened
Sadly I think the Zine fell through that this was supposed to go on but i might as well share it right now considering i shouldn’t leave work in the files I put effort on
though it seems already pretty dated to me because this was made last year around November to December or maybe a bit earlier? I dont remember but it was for a diamond zine
