Many women have contacted me recently seeking protective jewels, and I have listened carefully to your wishes. The next shop update will contain some darker pieces meant to shield and protect. The Obsidian shards are precious to me, set in all Sterling Silver, these were unearthed by hand from a gemologist friend and elder. Like Odin traveling with his one eye and a slight limp he seeks and finds crystals and minerals in a respectful manner, and has many stories to tell. These rustic and sharp! Obsidian shards came from a white mountain of ash far to the north. Also shown is a silver tipped goat horn and a faceted black rutilated Quartz jewel. Mini Wiconi ii. The second version of my “Water is sacred” jewel with Native Turquoise, shell heishi and Hessonite Garnet. Proceeds from the sale of this necklace will be donated to help aid the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and Sacred Stone Camp protect their ancestral land and the Missouri River watershed which supplies water to over 18 million people. A Mabon Black Phantom crystal sourced from snowy mountains, and set in a handmade bezel of all Sterling Silver. As we are on the cusp of the first day of Autumn it is a joyous time of change. It is said that Phantom Quartz helps to cleanse the Earth, renewing the spiritual health of the planet, while also creating a smooth transition during Earth changes. This crystal was chosen to lead the turning of the wheel towards fall in the Wildthorne family fold.

On my Facebook page this morning I just posted a video that Michelle recently shared of her unboxing and unwrapping this month’s Venus & Gold jewel that I created for the #fiercegracecollective. If you are new to my work this is a great preview of what I do.
I am so incredibly grateful for Michelle’s video, it warms my heart to see and hear the reaction of clients and friends as they open up their packages. I love to spoil and treat my clients, and feel blessed for every single order that is placed. This is why I love to give back and include extra treats, bits of floral bouquets, sea and forest treasures, and my own handmade art. These simple little treasures serve as reminders of the beauty that can be found if we take a moment to pause. They help me to ground and connect back to nature, and so is intuitive and natural for me to want you to have them as well. It made be beam to hear how Michelle places these small gems that I send as altars around her home and sacred spaces.
I created Wildthorne jewels because there was a void, and I could not find for myself and my family spiritual and energetic crystal adornment that is clean in energy, and made in a good and humble way. The boxes that I create are what l wish I myself could receive in the mail, but have never found elsewhere. Packages should be presents, and I am honored in the gift of your support, and so I reciprocate with gifts of my own to let you know how very much I appreciate you.

Black and gold is one of my favorite color and gemstone pairings. There is something very sensual and opulent about a bright gleam set against midnight dark velvet. I am so grateful to kind friends and spirits like Brandie who have made the choice to choose ethical and conscious adornment. I created the Mni Wiconi “Water is sacred” jewel to help aid the Standing Rock Sioux nation in their preservation of ancestral land and clean water for all people, plants and animals living in the Dakota regions. The big oil industry has since destroyed ceremonial and burial sites of the Sioux over this past weekend, and also used attack dogs and mace against the peaceful protectors including women and children.

Injustice I am saddened to say happens daily in this world and to many people. Change happens when understanding, an open heart, integrity and compassion leads our choices and decisions instead of greed and selfishness. All too often in this world people are motivated to take thoughtlessly from others, without considering the repercussions of their actions. If we would all take a moment to pause and consider not only the words that we speak, (but also type and share) and our inner motivations. I truly believe this planet would be a kinder place.

A big thank you friends for your support in purchasing the Venus & Gold jewels this morning. I am sending out more packages today, and appreciate your kind messages in regards to my last newsletter. This was the quickest sell out of #annapurnaliving jewels ever, and I am grateful.
Beaded work comes naturally to me as I admire its sensual beauty, round fullness to the eye and touch, and symbolism as for some indigenous tribes seed beads are prized, and represent spiritual seeds to be planted. In our family we also use seed beads in our beadwork for our regalia, and so it is an intuitive choice that I reach for.
I use chain sparingly in my art as the earliest depictions of goddesses (whether it be Ix Chel, Isis, Hathor, or Kali ), and our ancient mothers and wise women of olde did not wear chains for adornment. Chains have their own symbolism that I do not delve into lightly, and prefer instead to use beads, crystals and gemstones, or other natural materials including Vegan cording. I admire the free and wild dance of unfettered women, and would have my jewel work compliment, enhance and empower your auric field energetically rather than restrict.
