I recently finished this poster for a local museum, the Wilson Place Mansion, which is holding a live reading of War of the Worlds in honor of Halloween. This is the second year they’ve done a Halloween-themed event, last year doing readings of Victorian ghost stories in their parlor. I was really stoked to do this project, because I love old film posters and wanted to bring downtown Menomonie into it. I pulled from several War of the Worlds posters/covers to make sure the visual language was the right vintage. It was a really fun, quick project.
