I don’t set writing goals. I just write whenever I feel like it and don’t beat myself up if I can’t manage to get anything done that day. Saves a lot of stress on something that is supposed to be a fun hobby for me.

I once tried to write at least a word per day, and ended up burnt out and hating my work.

So now I take it by day.
