So, I just binged Dragons: The Nine Realms, and I freaking loved it! Here are a few things I loved to counteract the negativity I keep seeing every time I try searching it up. Spoilers below.

Thunder’s design. Seriously. He has such a wide range of expressions, and the animators did a great job of having his whole body react when he’s feeling something, like how he tenses up when near danger. This goes for the other dragons too, but Thunder’s expressions are particularly vivid.

Alex has anxiety, and Tom treats her respectfully. In the first episode, when she could only manage to whisper “Here” during roll call, and Philip kept trying to get her to speak up, Tom cut in by mildly saying “She said here.” In Featherhide, he respects her fear of opening up to Feathers, reassures her, but ultimately leaves it up to her whether or not to reach out.

On the subject of Alex, she has two moms and they’re wonderful. They like watching fireflies and are thrilled when their daughter has her friends over.

The new dragon species, especially Wu and Wei, are gorgeous. And the Fault Ripper is genuinely terrifying.

The parents are flawed, but ultimately caring toward their kids. This is again shown with Tom and his mother. She cares deeply about his safety and tries to keep him happy, but her job and his recklessness constantly cause friction. There are multiple times when he considers opening up to her, but she ends up getting called away and dropping conversations entirely. I look forward to seeing that looked at more in future episodes.

There is real chemistry between the characters. I do feel like the show is trying a little too hard to shove Jun/Tom in our faces, but the friendship between all four kids is very believable.

Anyway, that’s what I think. I liked it, and I look forward to what comes next.

I’ve spent most of the last decade examining reality to better understand the problems we face. I couldn’t handle the pain of this world. I couldn’t believe the atrocities. And I wanted to do something about it all, but it was overwhelming. The current remedies didn’t feel good enough. So I searched for the deepest causes and most holistic solutions I could find.

Whether for my own personal problems, or those of the collective, I could only find one single recurring cause.

Here’s one way to explain it…

To be in your positive natural state (flow, alignment, unconditional love, inner peace, awakened, etc) is to be in tune with your inner being, satisfied from within, and radiating your inner beingness outward like a light. You are creative, powerful, inspired, confident, authentic, highly intuitive, and free from external influence.

To be in a negative state (fear, disconnection, lack, etc) is to be identified with the external, seeking to draw fulfillment from the physical world inward, like a vacuum. You are dissatisfied, reactive, uncertain, disempowered, easy to influence or exploit, and maybe even parasitic or controlling at times. This state is harmful to yourself and others.

All of the problems our world faces are due to the normalization of this negative polarity state and the resulting behaviour.

We are born positive, but are usually then taught to suppress it—to calm down, watch TV, ignore our inspiration, conform, seek material gain/worldly success, and submit to authority. We are traumatized by this and other life events, which creates further disconnection, and we don’t understand the consequence of the inner shift that’s taking place.

I used to live in a very dark and disconnected place. After I found a way out, I made it my life to help others do the same.

If we can collectively shift into a positive default polarity, everything will change. To overflow with inspiration and love becomes the norm. Loneliness and greed disappears. Toxic systems and structures will no longer function. We’ll no longer feel compelled to take from others or the earth to feed our lack. We’ll have no reason to compromise our values to get ahead. We’ll be content and free.

I realize it’s a big dream, but after coming to this conclusion I can’t choose another path. I hope you’ll give it some thought.

Does it seem like I’m against facing fear, taking risks, or breaking out of your comfort zone? I’m really not—it’s just that I believe in aligned, confident, empowered action—not wonky, fearful action. The more you level up and stop living safe and small—taking bigger risks, channeling more of your power, and with more people watching—the more crucial this becomes! The stakes can be high.

The stress of intentionally creating fearful situations is not good for your body, either. If you feel pressure to do this, I hope you drop it now. Save your adrenals for the fun times!

Be kind to yourself. Choose flow. Face fear and resistance safely and internally with self-honesty and compassion, BEFORE any important actions or decisions are made—with journaling, therapy, bad dance moves, meditation, or whatever works for you. And do an integrity check—fear and resistance is often caused by straying from your values!

Then instead of doing the thing you were afraid of, do what you are most excited about, in the most exciting way possible! That is the most aligned way to get outside of your comfort zone! It allows you to stay in your integrity and power, and will consequently bring you the most positive results possible.

When you’re aligned, fear is not even accessible to you. And what does that tell you? Why ever choose weak and disempowered action?

I take big risks all the time, but it’s not because I’m brave. It’s because I’m integrated and can hear my intuition. In fact, we recently bought a home after only having about an hour to make an offer, in a town we’d never been to before. Despite it being such a huge life decision, I felt no anxiety about it at all. Just a calm knowing—and we couldn’t be happier here!

No matter how big the risks are, when you are aligned, they don’t feel unsafe. They feel perfect. They feel guided. They feel exciting. And like with our new home, I know very deeply that I’m doing exactly the right thing, because my clarity is not shrouded by fear!

If you believe you need fear to grow, don’t worry, when you follow passion and inspiration it still shows up sometimes. You can still learn from it. But it’s not the path! The path is love.
