No sé que cosas se van a poder y qué cosas no se van a poder. No sé qué quede de todo esto, cuánto quede, quiénes queden. No extraño la playa pero cuando el espacio me oprime en el cerebro y me vuelve oscura pienso en que floto en ese mar que conozco. Respiro hondo y me dejo llevar. Con mi mamá compartimos el mar pero no flotando, lo compartimos en lo profundo, en lo oscuro. Nos hundimos y nos fotografiamos. No sé escuchaba nada. El mar en lo profundo es silencioso como ninguna otra cosa. Desde la playa, en cambio, es ruidoso. A mí mamá siempre la vi salir desde lo profundo de ese mar. Nunca la vi flotando.
If you’ve been following my work then you should be familiar with my Camera Profiles series. For those of you who aren’t, I have a growing collection of old Film cameras. Over a year ago I got the idea to shoot my cameras on a black background and use a flashlight to paint them with light. The series grew from there. Every time I get a new camera I’d shoot it in the same style. These are my 4 latest additions to my collection. I had been meaning to shoot them for a while but just finally got the time to do so.
