Assignment: Beverage - Jones Soda
This is the second part of my beverage assignment. For this part we were allowed to choose the beverage that we wanted to photograph. I chose Jones because I have a little series of Jones photographs that I’ve shot over the past few years. I again lighted and photographed the bottle and glass separately and combined then in Photoshop.

Assignment: Beverage - Beer
I got to photograph beer for this assignment! This is the first part of my Beverage assignment. We were given the choice of either photographing beer or wine, and I of course chose beer. I photographed Rickards White because it’s me favorite beer but lighting the can was fairly difficult. I tried to get the highlights on the can to be as soft as possible but I couldn’t get them any softer. I lighted and photographed the can, glass, and orange separately and them combined in Photoshop to create the final image.

For this assignment I had to photograph a pair of hands interacting with an object. I shot my friend Billy Jean peeling a potato.

Assignment: Anti-Restoration
This assignment was basically the opposite of the restoration assignment. I had to take one of my own photos and make it look old.

If you’ve been following my work then you should be familiar with my Camera Profiles series. For those of you who aren’t, I have a growing collection of old Film cameras. Over a year ago I got the idea to shoot my cameras on a black background and use a flashlight to paint them with light. The series grew from there. Every time I get a new camera I’d shoot it in the same style. These are my 4 latest additions to my collection. I had been meaning to shoot them for a while but just finally got the time to do so. Assignment: Transparent
This assignment was pretty straight forward. We had to pick something transparent and shoot it. My beta fish, Messiah, lives in a crystal skull bottle so I decided I would shoot that since it seemed creative. The only difficult part of this assignment was waiting for Messiah to get in the right spot. Betas aren’t known to be active swimmers so he required a little convincing. All in all I’m fairly pleased with how this assignment turned out.

Assignment: Exploitation
For this assignment we had to pick an object and exploit one of it’s features. I choose to shoot my sunglasses and exploited the lenses. We had to use the large format to shoot this assignment which was a bit of a pain in the butt because of how large it is.
