so i actually think what’s making me the maddest about the reaction to the season 2 announcement is … the number of people who are treating season two as if the only point of good omens is to confirm that crowley and aziraphale are in some kind of concrete gay/queer love.
the story is about so much more. it’s about the love of parents for children, the love of friends for one another, found family, how expectations can change you and how to find yourself within it, about love winning over everything; it’s about freeing yourself from abusive mindsets and being honest with those you love; it’s about saving the world by saving and being your best self; it’s a love story about all kinds of love, yeah, but there’s so much else to take from it. it’s about not giving up. it’s about how people can surprise you. it’s about being there for others. it’s about a happy ending
and the number of takes that are so focused on “proving” that crowley and aziraphale have some specific kind of relationship (as if they aren’t each other’s ENTIRE WORLD already?) because that’s the only important message Good Omens has for the world?
