#yes yes yes
Okay, so I tried really hard to resist the urge to post anything about it, and I even held out for over a week trying to process/calm my feelings about the ending to Lucifer. I’ve tried, I really have, but the more I try, the more I CANNOT rationalize that ending. As you may have guessed, I absolutely hated the ending, and I just really, really, have to get my feelings out about it. If you liked the ending (I really wish I could be you!!), you may want to skip reading any further (I recommend you do, in fact).
This is a reminder that your self shipping/self insert blog is YOUR blog, you don’t have to draw or write to have your brand of fun with it! Make a million different Pokémon teams for yourself, make a billion posts about your self inserts lore, go OFF about how much you love a character, make as many AUS as you feel like even if you dont go back to expand on them much, have F/Os that you don’t even know your relationship with!! It’s your blog and it’s FOR you, so don’t restrain yourself to just one thing, create whatever you want, or reblog whatever you fancy!! Your blog your canons!!!
Favorite thing about being a fic writer is the comments. No seriously unless you’re a fic writer you don’t understand the level of kindness and almost heroin-esque level high writers get from getting thoughtful feedback from loyal readers. It’s fantastic.
Oh readers, grant me the sweet sweet kiss of dopamine!
I kept seeing people saying what a fun idea this would be, and so I thought… eh, it’s jumping on a bandwagon, but why not.
Regular emails from your friend Dr John Watson about the adventures of his eccentric detective roommate.
Inspired by Mark Kirkland’s excellent Dracula Daily, Letters from Watson will let you read through the entirety of the Sherlock Holmes short stories over the course of one year via bitesize emails.
Keeping with the precedent set by Daily Dracula of reading classic literature in an unusual order, it will be following the chronological order of Holmes’ cases, rather than their publication order. This means we’ll start with stories about a young pre-consulting detective Holmes in the 1870s, and end with an elderly ‘retired’ Holmes getting up to shenanigans in WW1.
Emails will begin January 1st 2023. I’ve chosen this date to avoid conflicting with other ‘daily email literature’ projects, and because it is the date when all Sherlock Holmes stories will be in the public domain in the US for the first time!
I’m aware it’s a very long way ahead, but won’t be be a surprise when you finally get that first email? (Also you get a special email when you sign up and I think it’s pretty exciting)
Froggies so fat they have their own gravitational fields.
So uhhhhhh…
BLEACH IS COMING BACK!
You know a series has a successful finale when even though almost none of the main characters have a conventional happy ending, none of the main ships (Jonas and Martha, Regina and Aleksander, Noah and Elisabeth) end up together happily ever after, characters cease to exist and are erased from the universe with no one remembering them, and one of the most disliked characters actually has a happy ending and it is still a very satisfying ending that it is beautifully written, acted and edited.
