Twitter’s main character yesterday. I get that ‘emotional labour’ is a neutral term in its own right, but if you choose to foster children and you then complain about the amount of emotional labour you’re doing then you can get fucked.
Kids in the foster system deserve better than narcissistic dickheads making it all about them. And I’m sorry but being a crisis counsellor and a ‘therapist’ comes with the territory of being a parent/guardian.
You don’t get to complain like that about having to perform “emotional labour” if that’s literally the job you signed up for…
