You got up very late, at least you had the feeling you slept for a long time, but maybe it was because of the dreams you had. You did not understand half the things you dreamed about, so you thought about them when you got out of bed. You didn’t even notice that you regained feeling in your legs. The most important things now were the information they had acquired and the otherworldly smell that was coming from behind the door.

You got out of bed and headed downstairs, still in your pajamas. You kept your eyes closed all the way and after entering the room, so you didn’t notice that everyone is looking at you with surprise and a smile.

You sat down at the table and put your head on it, from this crowd of thoughts, your head started to ache, and you just got up.

“As if I saw Sabrina getting up for an unwanted test at school.” You didn’t even respond to Hilda’s taunting, weighing the pros and cons of the plan forming in your head.

Zelda watched you from behind the newspaper, she still couldn’t believe you were the daughter of Hecate, but the power that surrounded you was undeniable proof of that. Even now, sleepy and unconscious, you had more power than most likely the three of them put together.

Purple and pink soap bubbles started to appear around you, it was always like that when you thought about difficult magical things, and this one was one of the harder things you came up with.

“If only that soap didn’t get into my coffee because …” She broke off as you jerked your head up and looked into her eyes. All the bubbles burst simultaneously and turned into butterflies that flew away and disappeared into the air. “Are you okay?” Not that Zelda had ever admitted it, but it was weird, such a discharge of power.

“It was you I heard in my dream.” You said softly, but didn’t elaborate on the subject, staring at the red-haired witch who huffed and hid behind the newspaper. “Could you lend me the books you used to challenge my mother to? By the way, strange that you didn’t get hit for it, the gods always hear when someone insults them, especially with such harsh words as …”

“These are private prayers!” She put the newspaper abruptly on the table and stood up, wanting to leave, but you grabbed her hand.

“It’s not my fault that I hear them. Hecate sends them to me to help you.”

“There is no way to help, and I wish you …”

“What if there is?” You interrupted her. You were still holding her hand, but neither of you noticed it, you were staring into your eyes.

“What are you talking about?”

“About bringing Sabrina.” You saw the change in her face. First the anger, then the uncertainty and hope to return to anger again. She broke free from your embrace and headed for her room, but you teleported in front of her, blocking her way. “Give me a chance to help where my mother failed. I can’t promise you it will, but it’s always worth a try, right?” She was staring at you with a poker face, you could feel the tension between you, as if there was about to be a storm in the building.

“Come see me after breakfast. And better dress.”

She passed you, and only then did you notice that you were still in your pajamas.

“Shit.”

You ate your breakfast at an express pace, telling Hilda that you would explain everything to her later, when you understand the things in your head.

You went to your room to get ready for the day and to talk to Zelda. You decided to use your charm and put on tight black pants and a matching shirt of your favorite color that emphasized your eye color.

So you were prepared, you headed for the door behind which the red-haired witch had disappeared. You knocked on the door and waited for permission until, you’re not that stupid.

You entered, as it turned out, the office, where you found Zelda with her cheeks wet with tears and a glass of scotch in her hand. This sight surprised you so much that for a moment you stood motionless in the doorway, but you came to your senses. You closed the door and sat next to her on the couch. You didn’t know how much you could afford, but you really wanted to cheer her up. Seeing such a powerful witch in such a state has made your heart feel sad.

You reached your hand toward hers, but before you touched her, Zelda spoke.

“The books are on the desk. Find what you need.” Her voice was empty of emotion, and she didn’t look at you when she spoke.

“Zelda, I …”

“I know there is little chance of success.” She looked at you, your eyes sparkling, and for a moment she stared at them without saying a word, feeling the peace flowing from them. “But since there are any, I want to try. I want you to try.”

“I’ll do my best.” You smiled at her.

You spent the whole day reading books about the Salem witches, about their religion, and about where Sabrina might be. You really wanted to help this family, even though you just met them.

Hilda sent you dinner during the day, for which you were very grateful because when you do something, you find it hard to distract you, and you often forget your basic needs.

In the evening, you finished reviewing all the materials and finally decided to share your discoveries with the Spellman family. You rejoiced when all three were present in the living room when you came down there.

“Sorry it took so long and kept you in suspense so much, but these books were really fat and …”

“Have you read them all?” Ambrose was surprised, because until now he thought that he was reading quickly.

“Yes, more or less. What I needed most.” You stood in the center of the room and straightened your hair. “As I said. I have reviewed everything you have about where Sabrina ended up, but as you well know, it is not enough information. So I contacted someone who is more knowledgeable about these matters. He promised he would try to help…”

“So when is he coming? And who is he?” Zelda was impatient, you didn’t expect this trait from her, but you smiled to yourself.

“Nico de Angelo, son of Hades, who loves challenges and walking in all kinds of worlds of the dead. Unfortunately, he is currently on vacation with his boyfriend Will, but he’ll be there as soon as they get back. Hope you don’t mind, but Nico has promised that in his spare time, he will learn as much as possible about your dead lands, but he also has a task for us. ” You paused for a moment, looking for the anger of waiting in the faces of those present, but found nothing, so you continued. “You know someone who has experience in navigating the land of the dead?”

“Maybe someone who rules it?” Ambrose asked, and you notice Zelda is giving him a murderous glare.

“You mean Lucifer?”

“Oh no, someone else. Hell recently changed steward.”

“I’ll send her a question if she can show up tomorrow.”

Hilda got up and headed downstairs, and Ambrose went upstairs, wanting to look for more books on the topic of interest to you.

You were left alone with Zelda, who was drinking some alcohol again. You sat down next to her and you both stared at the fire in the fireplace.

“Don’t you drink too much?”

“Don’t you meddle too much in not yours things?” She’s right, it’s none of your business how Zelda treats her body. That’s why you took the glass out of her hand. “What are you doing?!”

“I help myself because I know you won’t even propose some to me.” You smiled at her, and she looked away, that’s something new. You drank the entire contents of the glass at once and put it on the table in front of you.

“Are you allowed to drink at all? How old are you?” She spoke. You started laughing.

“Really? That is your question?” You looked at her, but she still didn’t look at you.

“I’ll be 30 soon.” You sighed. “Compared to you, I’m probably a child, but age is just a number. Experience counts.”

She looked at you. This time it was you who didn’t want to argue with her, you stared at the fire that started to create images of your memories, but shook your head to chase them away.

“You probably have it above that, right?”

“You could say.” You looked straight into her eyes. “Keep so nice to me, and maybe I will share it with you.” The sound you heard was perhaps the most enjoyable sound you’ve ever heard. “You should laugh more. It’s suits you.” Zelda blushed. You wondered if she always reacted this way, or only if she had drunk some alcohol beforehand.

“Don’t be silly.” She got up, but instead of heading to her room, she put her hand next to your shoulder and leaned slightly over you. “You better watch out, or you could burn yourself if you risk it so dangerously.”

“I have a cream in my room that makes me immune to fire, so I guess I’ll take a chance.”

“Huh.” She leaned even lower so that her mouth was next to your ear. “Then you better watch our experience.” She bit your ear and you groaned softly. “Mine is definitely bigger than yours, and it’s supposed to matter the most.” As soon as she appeared above you, she vanished just as quickly, and after a while you heard the door upstairs close behind her.

You loosened your shirt collar, suddenly felt hot in the room. You decided to follow Zelda’s example and went to your room as well.

Guilt

requested by @stayevildarling  I really hope you like it! I kinda missed writing about Zelda

You’ve not been yourself lately. The energetic, talkative, social girl you used to be mutated into a shy and tongue tied one. Staring outside, you noticed how the sky perfectly mirrored your frame of mind. It was dark, sinister, but somehow still relatively benevolent: heavy rainy clouds were bursting, scarring the poor blackbirds that chirped and desperately flew back and forth in order to find a refuge into the woods. The melody coming from outside was better than the loud silence in your home. It matched the turmoil inside your head. With your fingertip you traced the run of those big drops that violently pounded against the closed window, only to disappear as if they never existed. The rain was keeping you from sleeping, it was nerve-raking, yet so relaxing. It was like you took pills to loosen up, while instead the only thing you really did during the past few days was shutting down your emotions and feeling numb. You needed a twist, a push, you felt like doing something stupid, yet liberating. You’ve been avoiding Zelda for a couple of days now and you felt terrible about it. Prudence’s words still echoed in your head, accusing you of being a friend for convenience, accusing you of having changed. But you weren’t, were you? You were just so in love with the redhead, you’ve become stupid.

“You’re never here anymore. For as long as she’s been yours, you forgot about my existence. I’m nothing to you. How could you?”, she shouted at you, and you couldn’t say anything to object, since you had no excuses. It was true. You neglected Prudence, but you never stopped caring for her, or loving her for the matter. Yet you lowered your head and bit the inside of your cheek, feeling so small. Big tears started to stream down your pale cheeks. “Pru…”, you chocked on a sob, and tried to reach out to her, desperately in need of a contact from your best friend, but she immediately pulled away.

“Is she fucking you good, at least?”, her voice came out as venom, and you knew right away her intention was to hurt you. You tried to ignore her words, pretend she never spilled them out, but the reality of the situation hit you hard. Your face turned pale, and your lips slightly parted open in shock. “Is she a nice sugar mommy, hmm? I bet she likes her new toy”, she bit her bottom lip in a mocking way and you felt sick in your stomach at such words. She stared at you as you were a commercial good, you felt exposed when her gaze lingered on your neckline.

You rapidly took a step back. She couldn’t be serious right now, she knew how important Zelda was to you, and sure as Hell she wasn’t a game to you and neither were you to her. She was just trying to hurt you, get back at you for not spending time with her anymore. “Prudence, you’re talking nonsense”, you tried to make her reason, folding your arms around your chest. “That’s not fair”

Prudence let out a short, deep laughter and shook her head while doing so. “You’re in no position to tell me what’s fair and what’s not”, her eyes were darker than usual, no hint of affection in her orbs. “Go back to your bitch, but don’t come crying to me when she will replace you”

You couldn’t hold yourself anymore and cried all the tears you were resisting. She had no right to treat you like that, you never meant to hurt her, you just found yourself deeply wrapped up in a new love, something you had craved all your life.

“What is wrong with you?”, you pushed her, shaking violently as you did so.

“With me?”, she laughed bitterly at you. “What is wrong with you?”, she corrected you, pointing her finger at you.

You shook your head in disbelief and turned around a moment, to contain all the rage that was boiling in your veins. You clenched your fists in order to keep in place the power of your magic flowing through your body. “Look, I’m sorry if I haven’t been there”, you tried again, in a soft whisper. “I should have never-”

“Oh, save it”, Prudence cut you off. “You’re pathetic, Y/N. Stop looking for excuses! Take the blame and have the decency to shut up!”

You turned around, looking directly in those eyes you used to love so much. “I can accept the fact that you’re mad at me, but you have no right to talk shit about things you don’t fucking know!”, you never really raised your voice, neither with friends even less with Zelda. It was out of your character.

Prudence clapped her hands and laughed at you. She approached closer to you, making your stomach turn upside down. “You’ve got some balls now. I get why Madame Spellman is so tangled up with you”, she kept teasing, cupping your cheeks. “I knew that deep down you liked it rough”, she was so close to you, you could feel her breath tickling your face.

Your breath quickened. You felt like exploding. “Enough of your bullshit!”, with a flick of your fingers, Prudence flew in the air only to crash on the ground, sever meters from you. Her eyes widened when she realized what you just did to her. You stiffened as you pictured the same expression of pure shock on your face. But you didn’t bother to run to her, check if she was alright, you were just so angry, you feared you’d have hit her again and again. A splatter of blood slid from Prudence left temple. She touched it with her fingers and hissed in pain. “What the hell, Y/N? Have you lost your mind?”

“It’s on you”, your tone was anything but firm. Your eyes were glossy and puffy with tears. “Stay away from me”, you left her here, disappearing only to transmute in your house.

“Oh, fuck it”, you muttered to yourself and rushed downstairs. The house’s never been so quiet before, you felt like going crazy if you hadn’t done something to change that unusual quietness. You opened the front door and timidly folded your arms around your chest, before stepping out. The air was chilly and as consequence your hair started blowing in the wind, going into every direction. You felt shiver run through your spine and your body was soon covered with goosebumps, but you didn’t turn back to get inside. On the contrary, you moved a step forward realizing too late you were barefoot. You grimaced when the damp ground met your soles. You tried so hard not to let out a chuckle. You had no idea what you were doing, and you thought that if Zelda had seen you wearing nothing but your underwear, in the early morning, and most of all in the middle of a thunderstorm, she would have questioned your own mental health.

You stopped in the middle of your small yard, without bothering of the rain soaking your hair and clothes. It was like stepping into a cold shower, and at first it made you freeze, but then you welcomed the storm, lifting your chin up to the sky.

“What the hell are you doing?”, it took you a moment to distinguish her voice. You managed to separate it from the deafening sound of the rain and you slowly turned in her direction. The woman you missed terribly. “Satan in Hell, give me the strength”, she muttered to herself as she quickly approached you. Her voice sounded stern, yet her eyes were as soft as a velvet cloth.

You blinked a couple of times. “Zelds?”, you half whispered and rapidly rubbed your eyes to wipe the drops of rain away. But it was of no use since the intensity of the storm going on and the tears mixing to it. “I’m so sorry, Zelds”, you shook your head, tempted to make a step back as you felt ashamed for having avoided her for two days in a row, but the witch was ready to hush you, placing her finger upon your lips. “There’s no need to apologize”, she knew you were hurting. She could feel your heart aching just by looking into your eyes. She had kept an eye on you from her office, she had secretly casted a spell around your house for that purpose.

She guided you inside, and then she made you sit down. She muttered words to herself, hating to see you so miserable. She bit the inside of her cheek, when she noticed your small figure trying to keep from shaking. “What am I going to do with you, hmm?”, she gently cupped your damp cheeks and you offered her a small smile, before lowering your head on the floor. The guilt was eating you from inside out; you felt so ashamed of your behavior. You seemed to do all things wrong.

“I wasn’t expecting you to come”, you muttered and then sniffled. You expected her to be mad at you, to yell at you for being a careless person, irresponsible and so on, but to your surprise she only snorted and rolled her eyes at you. She touched your shoulders and a wave of warmth rushed through your body, and you closed your eyes for a brief moment.

She placed her palm over your cheek and you leaned to the touch, holding her wrist with your hand. “But I’m glad you came”

“I was so worried about you. I sensed you were about to do something silly and I was right”, she chuckled a little bit and so did you. She moved a lock of your hair behind your ear and lightly touched your forehead. “Prudence told me everything”

“Is she still mad at me?”, you asked timidly. “What did she say?”

She placed her hands over your thighs and sighed softly. “She came to me because she realized her mistake, she couldn’t find the courage to come to you personally, because you.. well, you know”, you bit your bottom lip, remembering to have warned her to stay away from you. Unholy Lilith. “She messed up and she is sorry about it”

You shook your head and lowered your head once more, absently playing with her hands. “No. It’s my fault. I should have never hit her”, you felt on the verge of tears once again. You angrily wiped your tears away, while Zelda frowned at you. “I can’t forgive myself for what I did to her. For what I did to you

“Listen to me”, she lifted your chin to meet the beautiful eyes of yours, she fell in love with. You felt butterflies flutter in your stomach when she beamed down at you. She grazed your cheeks with her thumbs, gently wiping the rest of your tears and your heart warmed once more at the tenderness she showed you. “Prudence is fine. She deserved the little lesson, if you ask me”, her mischievous smile made you chuckle. “As for myself, I had the hardest time staying away from you, but I knew you needed some time to sort things out”, she tenderly stroked your hair. “I may or may not have casted a spell on your house to keep an eye on you”

You faked a shocked expression. “No, you did not!”, it was so of her, you weren’t surprised at all. “I should report you for such a thing”

She playfully pushed you and your back met the soft fabric of the back of the sofa. “Don’t be so dramatic, Y/N. You’re not sixteen anymore like my niece”

You nodded, amusement evident in your eyes. “Sadly”, you fake whined. “But I still look great”, you joked.

“You really do”, she muttered, making you blush. If only people knew the real Zelda, they would stop making false assumptions about her. You knew her true colors, she showed them to you. She wasn’t just a stern, impassible, sometimes cold -hatred witch. Nothing of the sort, actually. It made you chuckle such a wrong preconception. Zelda Phiona Spellman loved like no one else. She was the most caring person you had ever known; she could turn into a fierce lioness to protect her loved ones, but also into an adorable teddy bear for a cuddle.

You reached out to grab her hand, and she immediately intertwined your fingers together. “I’m still sorry for avoiding you. I’ll make it up to you and-”, she lifted your knuckles to her mouth, kissing each of them. Your heart raced and no speech was left in you. She enjoyed your reactions; how adorable you were every time she showed some affection towards you. She lived for those sweet expressions of yours.

“Come to my place”, your eyes glimmered with emotion at her suggestion. “I’ve missed you terribly these days. And Hilda is not making it easy for me”, she muttered, amusement evident in her tone.

You couldn’t help but laugh. “Zelds, leave your poor sister alone!”

She groaned and with a wave of her hand, she dismissed the subject. She wasn’t smiling, but her eyes were laughing along with you. “I’ve not killed her in about a month. I need you to keep me sane”

You lightly shook your head. You knew Zelda had stopped murdering her Hilda for fun, since that little accident that happened with Batibat, where she experienced one of the worst nightmares she had ever had. The loss of her sister. She just pretended to be missing the feeling of hitting her head with a baseball bat or a shovel.

“I’ll come at your place then”, you nodded. “To protect your sister”, you pointed out.

Zelda’s brow quirked. “Is this the only reason you’re coming?”

“Is there a better one?”, you teased.

She chuckled at you and then pulled you by the fabric of your shirt making you hop on top of her. Her hands started wandering around your body, behind your shirt, and you slid your fingers through her hair, lightly rubbing her scalp. “Do I have to reformulate the question, my darling girl?”, her palms circled your breast, which were freed of the bra. You tried to suppress something in between a moan and a whimper, but failed miserably.

“Come again?”, she bit her bottom lip, grazing your nose with hers.

“Kiss me”, you hotly whispered into her mouth and she melted at your needy tone. “Please”

She ran her fingers along your spine, while with the other hand she kept teasing your breast. “This can be arranged, my sweet girl”, she replied, closing her eyes while placing her plump, red lips upon yours.
