#zero waste lifestyle

LIVE

I think this is such a good idea for Zero Waste beauty! Cotton pads, make up wipes, and make-up removers are quite wasteful and can sometimes cause issues for people with sensitive skin because of all the chemicals in those products. This is not my video and all credit goes to Lauren Singer from Trash is for Tossers. I just saved the video to my blog because it’s a good idea!

Hi everyone, I’ve had this blog for a few years when I first became interested in becoming healthy, however, at this point of my life I was becoming obsessed with losing weight and being skinny whilst comparing myself to other people who have bodies that would be completely unattainable and my outlook on this became more about losing weight as opposed to living a healthier lifestyle.

I’ve decided to redesign this blog and use it as a personal record of a health journey I plan to take for both my body and my personal mindset. This includes:

> moving to vegetarian diet and eventually, a vegan diet.

> slowly moving away from dairy products.

> continuing a cruelty-free lifestyle, but hoping to move towards a more natural health and beauty routine.

> gradually moving towards a minimalist lifestyle.

> gradually moving towards a zero-waste lifestyle.

Not only will this blog help me, I’m hoping that I can create a place where tips based on the list above can be shared and that everyone can move towards a healthier lifestyle.

If you’re reading this post and your blog promotes any of the things above, drop me a message and I would love to follow you :)

If you limit your shopping to once or twice a year, you’ll be less likely to add unnecessary items to your wardrobe. You’ll also extend the usefulness of the clothing you already have. Checking out thrift stores and locally made cooperatives is a great way to avoid the impact of fast fashion and its associated waste.

Some zero wasters lean towards the capsule wardrobe. A capsule wardrobe is a small collection of well-made items that coordinate easily with one another, making numerous outfits from a few carefully chosen pieces. Create your capsule wardrobe by selecting anchor pieces in neutral colors. Next, choose one or two theme colors (that go together) and retain tops and scarves to match. Finally, add one or two patterned pieces, a few accessories, and you’re ready to go!

Personal care products are likely to come in a wide array of plastics, and many can only be recycled once before ending up in a product destined for the landfill. Eliminating these from your medicine chest will help stop the demand for these products and save you money!
