Post ATLA one of Zuko’s advisers tries to question his legitimacy to the throne by claiming Katara should have been crowned Fire Lord because she won the Agni Kai against Azula. And the mean advisor gets up in Zuko’s face and is all like: “So unless Master Katara is secretly your wife…”
And Katara has the biggest smile on her face, before she tells the advisor: “Oh you have no idea.”
And so begins a 30-chapter slowburn fanfic about how Zuko and Katara bamboozle the more treacherous members of his court and fall in love…

Fire Lord Zuko and Princess Katara, Ambassador of the Southern Water Tribe to the Fire Nation, enjoy a secret rendezvous in ember island surrounded by moonflowers which the Fire lord planted in honor of the woman who shines as they do in light of the moon.
I have read in some fanfics where they narrate that on the wedding night of the South Pole the newlyweds must paint themselves in a kind of private ceremony (I’m so sorry because I’m the worst at remembering names).
I’ve always liked that concept and thought it was a good idea for today’s prompt.
Iroh shook his head. “there is only one option.” Zuko could feel the sweat drops glide down his back, despite feeling icy cold; they couldn’t just ship him off to the South pole without any objections, right? “U-uncle…” Iroh shook his head, defeat written in his features. “I am sorry, nephew, I have tried to negotiate otherwise. I’m afraid I have no other choice. You will be married to the daughter of the Southern Water Tribe Chief.”
Katara shook her head slowly, trying to comprehend her dream- vision? “I had a really strange dream-” “I know, I had it too, I was there,” Aang explained, eyes wide. “I saw the spirits, Katara. They were talking to you, and you were crying. Yue was there, holding your hands.” Katara felt the hairs on her neck rise. “So it wasn’t a normal dream?” Aang shook his head. Ï don’t think so. What were the spirits saying that got you so upset?“ Katara gulped and stared into the soft glow of the smoldering logs. Softly she recited: "Unify water and water. Bring balance. You are the key. Yue said I have my part to play.”
The ramp lowered, and Iroh and Zuko stepped off the ramp onto the snowy pier. He looked at the people clustered at the beginning of the pier; a stocky, older man, flanked by a lankier young man and a fierce looking young woman. His fiancee, no doubt. She had piercing blue eyes; for some reason they looked hauntingly familiar. Like the blue sky over ember island, he thought.
Finally !!! very late, but here is my finished piece for “Arranged marriage” with some snippets of scenes that I have written for my SWT ZK AU as proof I’m still working on that
[ID: They are shopping in the market, there are too many people so, in order not to separate, Zuko thinks that the most logical thing is to go holding hands. It’s just for that, right? It’s not because he wants to know if her skin really is as smooth as it looks. Also, Katara seems to agree with the idea so… Why argue?]

I’ll be honest I had a completely different drawing planned out for this prompt but it’s a bit more complex and I’ve been so tired from school I didn’t really feel like working on it shdjsjdhjd
So instead I decided to do something more fun and simple and completely self indulgent zk cute domestic vibes with cute cats and cute foods because I deserve it also because I saw some cute cat onigiri and my first thought was zk would definitely make food that look like their cats akjdkkskkdkf
