Thenibushiki-juban can be a jacket and a skirt as well?

The size is not baggy like modern juban, so it actually fits pretty well.

With one of my favorite haori: I love tachibana motifs!!

I don’t think people won’t be happy about me being outside in juban, but the color ensemble is lovely. I love the color of antique kimono.

The haori is also from Hyotan-ya in Osaka.

At the bazaar, bumped into Ara, and I took pictures of her because I loved the haori mix coordination! I have been thinking of wearing haori at work and I am sure it would be a great idea. I will do it when it gets cooler.

Super unusual pattern for this haori lining (haori is here worn inside out) depicting cats on a tile roof (and a shunga in the back? that lady looks quite dishevelled ^^;)

Best tie and dye work for this shibori kimono depicting sasa (bamboo) over a faint lattice ground (the color play must truly be something irl!). OP is a genius because they paired it with this nice ryuusui (running water) haori, which should not work considering the dyeing styles differences, yet it WORKS!

Minimalist modern michiyuki coat by Taiyoukyo, depicting mystical Mount Hourai (a land of Immortals, called Penglai in China) in the mist.

I don’t have a good view of the lovely bright yellow lining but it seems to depict takaramono/takarazukushi (lucky treasures) which usually are:

• Uchide no Kodzuchi (lucky mallet)
• Fundo (counterweight)
• Kinno (treasure pouch)
• Kakuregasa (hat of invisibility)
• Kakuremino (robe of invisibility) or hagoromo (heavenly feathered robe)
• Makimono (scrolls of knowledge)
• Shippo (geometrical shape representing jewels and precious metal)
