Oiran Dochu Procession, held as a part of Ichiyo Sakura Festival at Asakusa

In the 17-18th century, Oiran, who skilled in many art forms and had status of celebrities worked in the Yoshiwara red-light district.
And Some brilliant parades were held for them to meet their customers.

Today, you can see the reenactment of this procession at Ichiyo Sakura Festival
