Autumn on the campus of Korea University.
Korea University’s historic main hall was completed in 1934 and designed by Park Dong-jin, one of the fathers of Korean modern architecture. In the late 1920s, the owner of the university, the businessman Kim Seong-su, went on a fact-finding trip to universities around the world. He was reportedly impressed with the newly built West Campus of Duke University. It’s said the Tudor Gothic architecture of Korea University’s campus reflects this.

To say that Dr. Paik Sung Ki of IP&I Dental Clinic lends a personal touch to his establishment would be a significant understatement. “I handle 99.9 percent of everything for our patients of all ages,” he says. “It’s very unique.”

Parnas Mall introduces PICKLE (every Thursday, 6:40 to 8:00, July to October), a specially curated program of evening classes designed to bring culture and enjoyment into the daily lives of busy working adults.
Classes include “You’re Something Special,” a talk by comedienne Park Ji-sun (July 7); a class on scent making by Kim Jina, the CEO of fragrance consulting group Crescent (July 14); “Discovering Your Dreams,” a lecture by “T-School” head Jang Soo-han (July 21); and a class on making flower desserts by food stylist Jeremi Seo.
