The fact that I thought the Percy Jackson movie was good about 3 years ago when I hadn’t read the books yet…
Imagine this: you turn on the very first episode of the PJO series and a boy is seen running in the dark, a zoomed in shot to his feet pounding against the dirt and the camera slowly pans up to his desperate face, and a voiceover begins: “Look, I didn’t want to be a half blood. If you’re watching this because you think you might be one, my advice is: turn off the TV.” The theme song plays, clips of the main cast play, you’re literally watching your childhood come to life. All is well.
Yes, I am 20 year old reading Percy Jackson for the first time.
Okay but imagine quarantine with the inner circle
Can I get everyone’s opinion of House of Earth and Blood?!!

For instance, imagine that one year, you’re standing in a supermarket with your husband. You see a bunch of strawberries in the market aisle. You’re about to buy strawberries to eat on the evening of Valentine’s Day. But before you can buy them, your husband yells “That’s my aisle! You can’t buy those!” and starts chasing you around the aisles shouting that you can’t buy the strawberries. (And of course, the next year, there’s always a pile of stolen strawberries waiting for you to be served.)
