Working on some of the expressions for the Ice Queen. It got pretty funny as I explored her range of emotions for Mimiru. Keep in mind this is around 4 in the freaking morning, so I’m a bit loopy. For example:
For crying out loud, what on earth would Mimiru be doing for the all-powerful Ice Queen to be making this face? Not chewing with her mouth closed? Holding an expensive vase? Seriously, I don’t know. You tell me.

Hello! James here! was digging through old files and found some more goodies to show you! Here is the original theme of Attack on Space: Interstellar Medium that was used in the trailer, created by @thanael! But for more awesomeness, I’ve also put together a small sample of the artwork that was in development when Me, Riley, and Sierra (mostly Riley and Sierra, only one of the images I worked on was my own) were working on for AOSIM, creating a series of teaser images that would give you a taste of what direction the story might have went! Hey guys! James here! Today, I wanted to give you guys a look at some of the work behind the scenes as I work on “Mimiru!” There is story that needs to be written, and a ton of art to create, but I thought it would be cool to show you some of what I’ve been working on lately!
While this most likely won’t be the final art style for the series, this image gives you an idea of what I’m thinking as I go through the process of bringing this world together! There have been many ideas tossed around and even more redesigns already in how the world should look, and while I’m close to getting it where I want it to be for the characters, I’m still pretty far on the backgrounds themselves.That’s why I really do need help from other artists This is being done all while I’m making revisions on the 1st episode’s script, and fleshing out concepts for music, so you can image that it’s been pretty tough sometimes!
So, let’s see here, Mimiru, and Kentaro are with a new character! His name is Jay, and they appear to be reading a book! I wonder what it’s about! And what’s up with that look on Jay’s face? Makes me more curious to what part of the story they are at. No spoilers please!
Additionally, I’d like to announce that I am opening voice over auditions for a bunch of new characters that will make it in the first three episodes, many of whom have recurring roles as the show progresses. We will also need volunteers for minor roles as well. A post containing that information will be released tonight!

Hey guys, This is James from the 104th Voice Squad! While the group that created the audioplay “Attack on Space”, is currently hard at work on “Airheart” I am also in charge of a brand new original project! Allow me to introduce you to “Mimiru,” a short and sweet miniseries that is sure to have you rolling on the floor laughing! It is a project that is close to my heart, as it is something I conceptualized years ago. But now in 2015, it is finally time to bring this world to life and share it with everyone!
James tries to play Smash Bros for the WiiU online. I emphasize “tries.” Okay, maybe he’s not that bad, but it’s still funny. Check it out and let him know what games you’d like him to play next!

Hello everyone! This is James, the creator of Mimiru! I’e been very busy putting everything together for the very first episode, and the reception so far is very positive! And now, I wanted to share with you just a small peek of the audio from episode 1! You’ll also get to see the opening sequence, and view an updated image showing how the characters will look in the world of Mimiru! Check it out, and let us know what you think in the comments below!
I’ve worked very hard on this project for a long time, and now the first episode is close to completion, so thanks to everyone for their support.
Plans for a Patreon is also in the works to help pay for assets (art, music, etc) so stay tuned for that as well. In the meantime, I’ll be posting more information about the new show in the coming weeks until the the episode’s release!
