swiftie-under-the-canyon-moon:
it’s so special that all I have to say is ootw performance and we all know which one I’m talking about
Sorry for another snackless post, i’m planning some pretty big snack related stuff that are gonna be up in the next week or so. Also, sorry that this went kinda long, but i had to convey my emotions
Transformative
When people asked me how the taylorswift concert i attended in Cologne on the 19th of June was, i gave them a one word response. That word was “Transformative”. Most people thought i was overreacting, some thought i was using that word wrong, others thought i was being my regular highly emotional 12 year old girl self (I am, in fact, a 26 year old man). But it was none of those, i said it was transformative and i meant it.
When i was a kid watching gameshows, I always made fun of the people who chose a vacation over an appliance or a car. “Ha!” i said, “That vacation will be over but that toaster will last forever!”. I was a cynic, for most of my life i didn’t see things emotionally. In recent years, this has changed. i have become more connected to my emotions, and i understood the true value of experience and travel. I became somewhat of a romantic.
Not in the Boy-Girl way, but in the life way. the kind of way that makes you feel things and change based on your experiences and other people’s words, and that’s what happened on June 19th, I had paid money to create an experience with one of my best friends, and it was amazing.
During the song “Clean” (Which is amazing by the way). A hydraulic catwalk was in mid air, and one end of it was right next to us, the other end inhabited Taylor Swift. At one point Taylor turned around and walked right at us, where i began to slowly lose whatever emotional control i had. Tay then started talking about the inspiration to the song “Love Story”. At this point, her hydraulic balcony was about 20 meters away from me, and at that moment i was transformed. Maybe the fact that she was talking about Romeo and Juliet from a balcony right above me was a part of it, but at that moment i realised that a girl from Nashville, somehow emotionally connected all those years ago with cynical boy from a city 30 minutes south of Tel Aviv, and now, 7 years later, that boy from Israel and that girl from Nashville are 20 meters away sharing an emotion and an experience, and the fact that this was happening made me feel strong, like anything i could ever want to do is possible. And that’s what love and romance do, so in that sense, i am a new romantic.
Again, sorry this ran long and wasn’t very funny, see you next week!
taylorswiftSo my costume, posters and present for Taylor (just in case ;) ) are al READY!!! BRING ON HYDE PARK!!!
So. Hi, Taylor. This is me (Tabitha), and my costume, and my posters (one of my best friends, Lucy, is coming to the show with me) and a present I got for you. I just wanted to take this chance to show this all to you because I don’t know when or if I’ll ever get to give you my present – but I really want to, because I love you and I want to say ‘thank you’ for everything you’ve done for me and so many others. Anyway, the present is a book I had printed with lots of drawings and paintings I’ve done inspired by you, your music and your cats. ;) You can see it all on my art page, tabithamarshart. But here, you can see some previews of the book – these are just a few pages. In the book, there are paintings of your cats, many drawings of you, and an entire illustrated version of 1989.
I can’t wait to see you. I can’t wait to be at Hyde Park, dancing like no-one’s watching, shaking it off, partying like it’s 1989. I can’t wait to hear your angel voice and see your amazing, intelligent, dorky, lovely, beautiful self performing for Hyde Park. I love you so much, and I hope that I might at some point get to give you my book. xxxTHOSE ARE SO GOOD
