A suspicion that lightness is not deeply serious (but instead whimsical) pervades aesthetic discourse. But what if lightness is a philosophical choice to temper reality with strangeness, to temper the intellect with emotion, and to temper emotion with humor? Lightness is then a philosophical victory over heaviness.
Parks and Rec fans (and tumblr in general)! Through my getting used to drawing with a tablet, one thing lead to another and this was created. Jean Ralphio is portrayed by the fantastic improviser and actor Ben Schwartz (rejectedjokes). Ben is definitely a comedy idol of mine and I follow his career closely. He is one of the reasons I want to pursue improv comedy. And what he brings to the character of Jean Ralphio from Parks and Rec (nbcparksandrec) truly makes him (IMO) one of the greatest TV characters of all time.
