My new baby! Her breeder sent me a few pictures tonight after she shed.
After having Keeva around, I knew I wanted an AHS of my own. In my hunt I came across Laurelborn Serpentry (https://laurelborn.com/), and they are breeders with an ethos I believed in and wanted to support. Lindsay has been nothing but warm and engaging throughout this whole process (and they have stunning babies!). I have never had an experience like I’ve hadwith them for any of my other snakes, and I’m just blown away.
Onyx (B. capensis), who will soon be Aisling Onyx come Thursday, hopefully.
(not this week, as it turns out but maybe in the next couple of weeks. Whatever is safest for her, I’ll just have to live with the suspense!)
Both my parents got to hold their snakes today! Viper was a blast, and Keeva was her gentle little self. She also weighs 28g! So happy she’s doing so well!
She’s rarely handled because of how finicky an eater she was, but since she’s eaten steadily since August I had my mom get her out to see if we needed to up the size of her food. I think we’re at a point where she can handle small peach fuzzies (maybe)!
Finally got pictures of Keeva’s bin, and of her! There is something so unsettling about how she looks when she coils, though.
4 for 4 meals! Ordered some new needles so I can start injecting calcium into her food, now. I’ll also try dusting them with vitamins every few feeds, like I did with Haloke
