i’m almost at 10k words with my dino story <3
They turn and start making their way back through the maze of pools-turned-ponds, towards the overgrown shell of what should have been the hottest tropical resort of the century; and a shadow passes overhead of them, larger than most birds, and unnoticed in the wake of easy conversation and even easier laughter.
!!!! giant dragonfly!!!!!
“No way. No way. that can’t be real.” Allen brings his hands up, sliding fingers through his hair and pushing it away from his face. “Dinosaurs ae dead.”

Max shakes his head. “If we don’t get to the docks right now… We’re going to miss the boat and get stuck here all summer. I don’t know about you guys, but that’s the last thing I want.”

Harper tosses Allen the camera. “It’s the chance of a life time, Al. Come on, you and me. Let’s have one last look around.”

Hi. If you see this please use it as an excuse to give me a brief summary of your wip or just scream at me about what it’s about
All Summer Long is about a group of friends who set out to spend a week on the mysterious Tellis Island, planning on documenting their investigation into the string of disappearences that have occurred on the island and either disprove or prove the ghost stories surrounding it.
But shortly after they arrive, they realize that just because Tellis Island isn’t haunted, that doesn’t mean it isn’t a passage into another world. The island is rife with something else.
Dinosaurs.
And they have a week before the last boat of the season arrives to take them home.
