Recently ran across some “what if the BAtiM folks escaped the Studio and were human again” pondering and then I had some thoughts which eventually devolved into Thinking About Sammy A Lot, aka Escape AU Where Sammy Lawrence Tries To Make Up For Being Terrified Of Everything Now By Being A Half-hearted Ass To Everyone.
So many of these people murdered each other for ink-related reasons, they should REALLY not be living in the same space but the content I want is just all of these losers trying to come to terms with both a new life and each other…….
OH!!!!! ALSO!!! I made a batim sideblog to try to contain my current obsession somewhat. Will I ramble unceasingly and incoherently about Sammy Lawrence over there? Will I be way too shy for that? WHO KNOWS!! Anyway heres a Post Studio AU that exploded into my brain and needed to be drawn

my friend boo finally went and got Dreams Come To Life and has been liveblogging it to me while reading it and we’ve been having a FANTASTIC TIME being equal parts angry and delighted at it. Have some barely legible scribbles of Mostly Sammy, and also some headcanons under the cut:
DCTL makes a big deal of Sammy being weird and rude by using everyone’s first name, so we couldn’t help but notice that in the game, everyone just calls him Sammy – even Norman, who still uses “Mr. Drew” when talking about Joey in the very same audio log. While we were pondering whether this might be something Sammy himself had insisted on, Boo made the incredible realisation that…. this is probably Joey’s doing. Joey calls Thomas “Tommy” and Bertrum “Bertie”, it’S RIGHT THERE, he OBVIOUSLY met Samuel Lawrence and immediately dubbed him “Sammy,” … except, Sammy seems to have liked it enough to now use this nickname exclusively???? AMAZING????????
I gotta wonder if Sammy’s, uh, mental breaks under stress (glances at the 1935 audio log) combined with his overly aggressive demeanour might’ve gotten him a reputation already at previous jobs for being a bit unhinged. It’d be really easy for Joey to give him the idea that JDS is the only place that will put up with/appreciate his particular flavour of mad genius, and for Sammy to think he’d struggle to get a job elsewhere despite his obvious skill, which could’ve contributed to him staying at this awful job for….. over a decade….. Anyway Tom & Allison’s convo near the end of DCTL about Joey zeroing in on people who are both talented and desperate sURE IS INTERESTING ISN’T IT.
Every now and again I try to imagine Sammy with long hair b/c of that one twitter post bUT LIKE HIS MEMORY AINT GREAT ARE WE REALLY SURE HE REMEMBERS WHEN EXACTLY HE HAD LONG HAIR
Woops Bendy and the Ink Machine has taken over my life once more. Anyways take some character designs I’ve been working on for the characters. This is the first time I’ve drawn Allison, Norman, and Buddy so their designs are probably going to change.
