LIVE

spring has sprung week one’s theme is reading! i’ve been reading to my dolls from this beautifully illustrated book of stories about fairies from different cultures. marie-grace put on her fairy costume for the occasion!

Happy Spring!

Nellie and Sam are all dressed up and enjoying a tea party with their dolls! ☀️

ag says they can do any of the goty meet hairstyles at the hair salon, does anyone know if that includes curling hair? my kanani has lost most of her waves and i was wondering if they could restore them considering her meet hairstyle is more or less just wavy hair

when (if at all) do you think there’ll be another world by us doll? of course the line is new and already has 3 dolls but i feel like ag wouldn’t create a whole line and stop at 3 unless it did poorly like the contemporary characters (iirc). unless i’m mistaken, i thought wbu was selling pretty well so i’d hope to see more in the future!

Connie Porter’s dedication for Addy’s Real Stories From My Time book. I could be totally wrong, but do you think she named Miss Dunn after her great-great-grandmother?

thanks for letting me know that the historical characters mysteries are worth reading! does anyone have any input on if the my journey with ___ books and the real stories from my time books are any good?

it’s the last day of lunar new year! i hope everyone had a great time. i just couldn’t let it end without getting some photos of julie and ivy celebrating together! they’re dressed in their beautiful cheongsams and playing with their dolls, li ming and yue yan!

happy lunar new year! ivy had fun watching the lion dance to celebrate in her pretty new dress

i got julie for christmas! now ivy has her best friend to hang out with. here she is on the trip i went on recently. my little cousin loved playing with her lol

Josefina and Sombrita Stop Motion!

I love Hold On to Your Dreams and just got Sombrita, so I was excited to make this my next stop motion video! They’re so cute

the third and final part of my gift for @lesbianleaclark! of course, with lumberjanes taking place at summer camp, i had to do a camping gear photo shoot! i found this cute our generation tent and accessories at the thrift store and thought they would work great.

part two of my gift for @lesbianleaclark. since i don’t have lea to model for photos and whatnot, i decided to make an american girl x lumberjanes crossover! lumberjanes is my favorite comic series and i was very excited to find someone else who also enjoys both. here we have mia as april (+ my holy kitten plush) over some backgrounds from the comics!

I’m really curious- does anyone think there’s a chance that the 35th Anniversary dolls or the Winter Princesses will be at the benefit sale?

I kind of doubt the 35th Anniversary dolls will, because they were *actually* popular and most of the people who bought them bought them for themselves before too many scalpers could get to them.

However, for the Winter Princesses, I don’t think all that many people actually bought them, but they were snatched up by scalpers, who later mass returned them to AG because nobody would pay the scalper prices. So I think there may be a chance that there will be Winter Princesses at the benefit sale.

What do you guys think?

americangirlstar:

ok i think im gonna pass on signing up for the benefit sale but i WILL be looking at the leftovers when the ticketholders are done!

actually. now that i think about it. i wonder if they have tm88…..

There’s a big chance they will! They had #86, #87, #88, #89, #90, and #91 (basically all the colored hair dolls lol) at the last sale, so I bet they will have #88 again this year!

americangirlstar:

should i sign up for the benefit sale? i want to give my ag money to charity ofc but like. 1) do they have products i would want and 2) how expensive does it get

This year will be my first time with the benefit sale, so I can’t speak from experience, but as for pricing, last year the prices were as follows:

Truly Me dolls - $60

Character dolls - $70

Create Your Own dolls - $120

Bitty Baby - $40

Wellie Wishers - $40

I definitely think you should sign up! Since the profits go to charity, I think it’s a lot easier on the mind than just going on a massive shopping spree direct from AG.

What products are you interested in? If it’s anything newer (not 2022 though, 2022 items won’t show up until the 2023 sale) there’s a good chance that they will be there, and occasionally some older items are available, for example, the 2021 sale had retired dolls such as #16, #26, #37, and so on.

I have news! Since the benefit sale is running from July 14-16, I get to get stuff from it as my present for my 17th birthday, which is July 15th! I’m so excited! I’ve never attended the benefit sale before, so this will be a fun experience.

Look who I found~

I hope BeForever Molly is returning, because I just love her meet outfit so much, and would love to snag it for my 35th Anniversary Molly. Those little saddle shoes!

She’s at the bottom of the page when you go to “Doll Finder”.

Lol after handling a CYO in person, I definitely want one! I’ve been considering asking for one for my 17th birthday, but was kind of flip-flopping on it for a while. After seeing the quality of the doll, outfit, accessories, and even the box, I definitely want my own. Veronica, the one I designed isn’t nearly as unique as my sister’s, but I think she’s really cute.
