Yesterday I sent Sam off for a new head! I did my best to fix her hair, but it was just so dry and crunchy that I decided to send her off. I bought her knowing I’d eventually send her in, so I’m excited to see her results!
For Christmas, I got Gabriela, and my little sister got Courtney! They’re both so beautiful, and the tight curls aren’t nearly as daunting as they may seem.
Finally got around to recurling Samantha’s hair! I’m quite pleased with the result, though I accidentally curled her front strands the opposite direction than the rest of her hair.
She’s looking much more like Sam now!
Does anyone happen to know what year jly21 lost her pin curls?
I can’t seem to nail down an exact year anywhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
@desertdollranch do you have any idea?
I don’t, I’m sorry! I do know it was in the last few years she was available, before her retirement in 2018. My best guess would be around the time that BeForever launched, in late 2014. There were a few small changes in other dolls at that time, so my guess would be around 2014-15.
But what I can do is look at listings of dolls and see if I can narrow it down for certain. If I can see some 21 dolls new in the box, I can use their meet outfits to determine a range of possible years. I’ll drop you a message to let you know if I find anything.
I know the answer! It was in 2017 when the floral dress and blue jacket meet outfit came out. However, AG always redresses Truly Me dolls that didn’t sell out in the previous meet outfit. So while some #21s sold in the blue jacket had pincurls, they were actually Lilac Dress #21s, just redressed. Only newly produced #21s had no pincurls.
Seeing used dolls like Tenney and Courtney for sale is so crazy to me because it feels like they just released when in reality they’ve been out for nearly 5 years and a bit over a year, respectively. Anyone else feel this way seeing new-ish dolls secondhand?
Labor Day and Autumn are nearly upon us, but a heat wave approaches to remind us that Summer will still have its day in the sun. Meanwhile, Samantha is taking advantage of the last days of Summer to wear her Dragonfly Fairy Costume. Labor Day means a switch to Fall weather clothing and possibly an Autumn Fairy Costume, as well as the much anticipated Back to School! I loved school when I was a…
Samantha wanted to get a goat But Mama said she really needed a new coat With buttons and pockets and a cute belt in back Samantha was glad she didn't have to wear a sack! The goat was forgotten when Sam put this on. She was so warm and cozy So cuddly and dozy She said she would listen to Mama from now on.
