LIVE

This is your reminder to put some water outside for birds, squirrels and other small animals in summer!

In summer it can be very hard for them to find something to drink, so please put either a flat plant saucer or (if the bowl/pot you put is deeper) place a big stone inside or next to it, so they can reach the water safely.

Thank you ❤️

ainye:

Please feed birds when there is snow outside, it’s hard for them to find food when the ground is covered!

- Don’t put bread, it can mess up their tummies
- Please also don’t put raw rice or coconut, it can cause bloating which leads to pain or might even kill them!
- You could put fruit like apples or pears (best cut in tiny pieces)
- Or some grain mixes you can buy at stores for very little money
-Raisins or oats are great options too! (just make sure they don’t get too soggy)

Also choose a plate to put the food on if you don’t have a bird house! You can clean it regulary and you don’t want to put those grain balls in plastic nets, for the birds can hurt their feet on them very bad!

Bringing this back since it starts to get colder outside!
You might also want to leave a little bowl of warm water every now and then, they will appreciate it.

theshadowytiger:

This adorable guy is Posh. He is Lazarou’s brother that is currently still in the local shelter. Posh needs your help!

Posh is a sweet boy whose injured back leg requires surgery before he can be available for adoption. All of his siblings left to new homes and he has stayed behind! He is in a nonprofit shelter and your donation (tax deductable) could make all the difference for him. Click to help.

More information can be found here on our primary post. The burden of an expensive surgery is painful for a shelter. The smallest amount of help would mean so much. Please consider it even if you can only take a dollar out of your PayPal account!
