#animal rescue
Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI)
During the month of May 2019, Channel Islands Marine & Wildlife Institute (CIMWI), our all-volunteer nonprofit organization rescued 62 starving California sea lion pups and we are in a crisis situation providing medical and rehabilitation care for these animals. We continue to rescue more starving pups each day. We urgently need fish to fill our freezer so we can nurse these animals back to health and return them to the wild. Fish costs $1 a pound. Our goal is to raise $22,000.CIMWI a 501©(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to positively impacting conservation through marine mammal rescue, rehabilitation, research and education to promote ocean and human health. CIMWI serves Santa Barbara & Ventura counties in Southern California.
They rescue elephant seal pups too. These babies were rehabilitated and released just two days ago!
If you can help donate, here is the link for CIMWI’s donation page
If you don’t have any funds to spare but can spread the word that is helpful too!
